Guts and Fear

Damn I didnt know I would miss being around people so much

I guess I have to admit to myself that I am pretty scared right now Derek chuckled.

He looked around his tunnel ,he knew how important caution was at this point because now he was alone with no one watching his back. He still havent moved much distance from where he and the others parted. It was more like a charismatic warm up for him, trying to get his mind in the right frame, but one thing he was sure of was that he wasnt planning on dying in this hellish nightmare. He had no weapon on him at all, maybe giving Stephan his dagger was not really the wisest move on his part butwhat do you know? He was glad he could at least help someone.

After this few minutes he spent with himself he got up, dusting himself off the ground. It was time to get the hell out of here and also see if he can find any amulet while he's at it. Now on he goes into the tunnel of the unknown with the hope of finding a solution to this nightmare. Derek was always welcoming the thought of finding Michael, Collins or Sophia because with all honesty being alone sucks, the atmosphere seems way more quiet than usual, a little rattle of a kicked stone or a dipping sound of droplets of water can throw you off into panic mode. It would really be a hard experience for a man in the military speaking less of a 15 year old kid.

After walking a few meters Derek was starting to see the tunnel coming to another split but this time it was either to jump and grab onto the ladder not far from the wall or jump down which wasnt a long way down.

Which way should I take? This tunnel was meant for two after all I guess we didnt see this one coming

Derek was still battling with what might be the better option, pacing left and right the tunnel, paying no attention to the greasy floor, just one footstep on the slippery surface Derek was sent flying down with his back hitting the ground first with a slam.

"Wow! even my decision was made for me, now I really feel all these is some sort of game a psycho is playing with us, whichever way it is Im not going to lose",Derek said to himself and whoever was around to listen.

"It doesnt get crazier than this", he said again making his way to his feet. Just then he saw something run past and into a dark area, this creature actually had a form of a human being. With no time to lose Derek followed in pursuit of this creature into the dark passage and out into a maze like environment.

Derek didnt feel so comfortable standing out in the open in a place where he could be attacked from any angle, he had to get to a vantage point. He looked round and round again till he picked the upper left of the passage. He made his way up and from higher ground he could navigate the entire environment.

Not long after analyzing the area ,emerging from the dark behind him was a giant Ogre ,it made a sound like the voice of a human but with the tone of a Lion. Startled in great shock Derek fell to the ground stumbling trying to get on his feet, all he could think about was running and escaping the Ogre. Derek ran as  fast as his legs could carry him while the Ogre chased making thunderous footsteps behind him, Derek had no idea where he was running to all he knows is that he was running and making turns through the maze but how long can he keep this up.

Derek was now running out of breath and slowing down, he made another turn to the left this time something grabbed hold of him and pulled him into a hole, taking him away from the sight of the Ogre it was a human being, it was someone he didnt know.
