People distrust

The girl had her string cut off. She crawled back into her shell. She sometimes thought of killing herself. She didn't like this world anymore. She wanted to find a new one.

Even if death didn't show her the way to another world, it would send her away from this world.

Next to that, there was also her inexplicable interest in death itself. Why do organisms die? What happens to them after death? What about their time? Did their clock stop working?

These thoughts had filled her mind ever since she learned about death's concept.

With these thoughts in her mind, she numbly got ready to go to school.

Her father already left and her sister hadn't woken up yet. It was the usual, except her mother didn't leave together with her father anymore.

She looked at the dining table and saw her breakfast and her sister's. A piece of toast and a glass of milk.

After gobbling down her breakfast she brushed her teeth and left the house, giving a silent 'goodbye.'

She didn't know who it was meant for. It was just her usual ritual.

She went to grab her bike and went to school. She didn't want to go to class.

A while ago she had started crying when her teacher asked her a question in class. She felt embarrassed about it.

She didn't like it. Why did she have to cry in class? All the eyes were on her, her friend comforted her and her teacher expressed his worry.

She didn't want that. She didn't like people worrying about her. Why would they? It didn't make her heart feel warm nor did it make her happy.

She didn't feel relieved at being concerned about. It felt strange and icky. It made her even more afraid than before.

She didn't want to go to school and stayed home sick a few days. Luckily for her, the Christmas Holiday was just after that.

She could stay home a while longer. But now, she had to go back to school.

Arrived at school, her friend talked to her happily. She just listened with no reaction. Her face was the same, no change in expression.

Her friend didn't talk about her crying. As if that never happened in the first place.

She preferred this. Why would someone drag on the incident when it was already over?

Class started. The girl sat, quietly taking notes.

In front of her were two guys, she got acquainted to them through her friend. However, they tended to be a little clingy to her and her friend.

A while ago her friend expressed her dislike for them. She didn't hate them, she just thought they were starting to become annoying.

The girl actually held no qualms about how the two guys acted. However, this friend was more important to her than two guys she met less than a year ago.

So, she would make them leave her friend and her be. To her friend she acted like she agreed. She talked about them behind their backs while meaning not a thing of what she said.

Maybe this was group pressure. After all, her other friends also agreed with her friend.

Among these friends, there was one girl slightly bossy and clingy. She was always busy with romance and she always had someone she 'truly loved.'

She was, as said before, clingy. The girl didn't like this. Clingy people reminded her of her mother, and it made her feel nauseous.

She started avoiding her friends. Little by little. So she could remove her existence without leaving a scar.

She didn't feel safe with people anymore. They were scary. She honestly felt that it would be nicer to be alone than with someone else.

People say it is good to be with others, but her trauma left her unable to trust people.

If they could hurt her again, she'd rather not get close to anyone at all.

Maybe this was people distrust.
