1 chapter one~ Blake

My name is Kara McClain and am an only child. I'm a college student who is currently dating the most handsome guy Blake Hastings. I'm currently living with my father who is a single parent. Blake is charming and I like him alot but he can be cranky and rude but I let go. Because no relationship is perfect, right?

We've been dating for 6 months now. Blake said he would come over in the evening so I decided to bake something since he loves sugar so much... "What should I bake?",I think to myself.

I decide on Apple pie. "Once I'm done with it, I'll get ready. I hope we go for a movie tonight... Haven't had a chance to spend much time with him lately... Sometimes he even leaves college early... God knows to do what!" I mix the batter gently.

"Hope he will again start making some effort I'm this relationship. Otherwise I don't know for how long can hold" I think to myself.

"Ugh!too much self talking, should concentrate on work." I say loudly shutting down my thoughts and concentrating on the pie.

1 hour later

All set, but why hasn't Blake come yet. He's not usually late! I hope he comes soon...". I say to myself. I check my phone again for any text, even dialed his number but no luck. I'm lost in thought and suddenly I remember the 1st time I met Blake.

*Flashback*

A cute guy accidentally bumps into me when I'm coming about of the class.

"Oh", I say as I stagger backwards a little.

"I am sorry I.. I wasn't looking.. so..", cute guy trailed off

"Uh, it's okay"I say smiling at him

"Oh your books, let me get those for you",he bends and picks my books that were scattered on the floor

"Thanks"I say taking my books and putting them in my bag pack

"Sorry I was running after a friend. Although I would be more than happy to bump into you again" he smirks at me

"Huh!hehe",he's charming

"I'm Blake"he said,cute name I thought

"Hi, Kara"I said

"Nice to meet you Kara. I'll see you around"he smiled

"Sure"I replied and walked away.

The 1st meeting was very brief, but I felt instantly comfortable around him. After that we both met a few times in between classes and during lunch. Over casual hi's and hello's we both bonded and soon started spending more time together. I knew instantly I liked him but wasn't sure about him till he told me.

"Hey",Blake said as he walked up to me

"Hi mister. Where have you been?"I asked

"Dad was in town he kept me pretty busy...you know how he is..he was trying to shake my career, I should be thinking about joining his business... Blah blah.."he said frowning a bit and looking away

"So I'm guessing you had a tough weekend" i asked him

"Yep!pretty much...what about you?"he asks looking at me

"Nothing special. I watched few movies, went for shopping with Sara..."I said smiling because of my bff

"Hmm good! What did you buy me?"he asks with twinkling eyes

"Nothing! haha"I laugh softly

"I'm hurt!"he exclaims clutching his chest in a wounded way

"Yea right"I playfully roll my eyes at him

"Hehe... Although I have something for you"he said smiling

"What?"I ask not expecting it

"Here"he pulled out a simple but beautiful bracelet handing it to me

"It's the..."I start but he doesn't let me finish

"Yep same! It's so you, I know"he says finishing off my sentence

"Why did you?"I ask eyeing the jewelry

"I remember you eyeing it that day at the mall when we went out for the movie. So I thought I'd give you an early birthday present"he says smiling a little

"Huh!you remember"I ask with one brow raised

"Of course!why won't I?"he says

"I doubt that!you are not very good with dates"I say with emphasis

"Haha"he laughs "you see right through me...I saw it on your ID"he laughs again

"I knew it!"I exclaimed

"Anyywayys!what matters is that your birthday is coming soon so will you be a darling and accept this"he says dangling it in my face

"Uh...that's really sweet really" I hesitate "..but umm..I can't"I say with a sad smile

"WHAT??? Why not??"he asks disappointed

"It's way too expensive"I reply

"Oh c'mon...you can't be serious??"he asks shocked

"Look-"he starts

"Listen I can't...you can give me something else, something less special...okay?"I say cutting him off

"Why are you saying that? You're the most important... Kara you're special for me."

"Hmm?"I question

"You're my girl Kara. I would do so much more for you. It would mean alot if you accept this.."he says looking hopeful

"I..."I'm not sure what to do

"Please don't break my heart"he begs. I look at his adorable face and sigh

"Ok, I will. Thank you so much!"I say happily

"Yes!!!Look...you are the most special girl to me. You're my girlfriend and I really really like you a lot"he says smiling. "I haven't said this before out loud I know... But I hope in ways I have shown it to you, you know?

"I know"I reply grinning widely

"Great!now let me put this on.."he raises my hand and puts it on

"Okay!"I say. Once it's on I lift my hands to inspect it closely. "It's special...very special! Just like you are for me Blake"I say hugging him

"I feel like the happiest guy on earth right now. C'mon let's go for coffee"he hugs me and says

"Yeah let's go"I smile taking his hand then walking towards the coffee shop
