1 Prologue (part 1)

CRASH! I jolted awake, panting as remenents of my nightmare lingered in my thoug

hts. I silently crawl out of bed then tiptoed across my bedroom floor.After silently closing the door I stealthily creaped down the stairs to the basement. There I heard my dad yelling at mom. He is drunk right now and got angered somehow, I just hoped he wasn't going to be in a raping mood. My mom was crying in the corner of the room. If only my dad would leave for 5 minutes... I knew it wouldn't happen, my mom loved him too much. Silently I creaped back into my room and fell into a restless sleep.

The next morning I walked to school alone, because my mom was in bed,recovering from last night. I hoped that today wasn't my day to pay our school bullie,Trish, tribute. When I entered the school and no one came asking for money,I slumped in relief.That's one problem avoided.

School flew by and before I realized it, it was over. Since it was winter, night came at 4:15 P.M. I still had to walk past the forest. Normally it didn't bother me but today something felt erie to me. While I passed it, I kept on hearing twigs snap. You are probably yelling at me that nothing is wrong, and I know, but I just don't think so. Anyways, as I am about to turn the last corner onto my street, a twig snaps about two feet away from me. As I'm turning someone claps his hands onto my mouth, and hisses, "scream and I'll snap your neck." Another voice whined from behind him,"the boss'll kill us Danny." Then a third man said,"Gorge, the boss said he will kill us if we kill her.He never said we couldn't play around with her a little first." I wimpered and the man holding me (Danny I think) chuckled."How about a little game of cat and mouse. It's simple, you run and we track you down." Having had enough,I nodded hoping that there was a chance of escaping from them. Nodding, he let me go and I was off like a rocket. It took me a moment to relise that I was going the wrong way. SHIT, HE PLAYED ME!

I stopped, trying to figure out where to go and when I felt the same hands that gripped me earlier, I realised that I made a mistake.I bit his hand and heard him mutter "GOD DAMN IT" as I escaped but then I ran into someone else. George gripped me and spun me around.I looked warily at Danny as He slinked forward. He raised his hand and slapped me so hard, I would have flown into a tree if George hadn't been holding me."that that serve as a warning, never try that when you are at Lupin's estate."Danny growled. Then he pinched the side of my neck and the world went black.
