Chapter 2 - Baby Steps

Sitting in backseat of a 400-thousand dollar luxury car, Nina sat slouched in the drivers seat while playfully laughing at an old re-run episode of her favorite short-story sketch on her smartphone, "Loving Vampire Girlfriend".

Fulfilled with a joyful breath, the ending of the episode ended with the two main female lead characters in each others embrace while engaging in a passionate long held kiss.

"Nina-"Slamming her phone to her lap hard enough to cause a the screen to slightly crack, Nina raised her gaze and moved her head toward Cat standing outside her window while pointing at the locked backseat door. "-unlock the door, please? "

Turning the locks, Cat opened the backseat door and hopped inside. Setting away her designer purse beside her lap, Cat extended the seatbelt and locked it into place. Raising her head, Nina glanced over at the rear-view mirror and watched carefully as her eyes dotted at the edge of her phone with the ending episode on pause yet, still not over as the next scene was undoubtedly beyond erotic.

Gulping intently, Nina broke out into a sweat as she continued to glance down at her phone while attempting to not involve any suspicion from Cat's hawk-like gaze.

"Let's do it-" Snapping her gaze at the mirror, Nina watched and listened as Cat continued. "-let's invite some people over for a small get-together and talk about... Boys-Men! I mean. Huh! Its been so long, I've gotten so out of touch as of late. No wonder I've been so hopelessly single all my life. "

Almost teasing at her words, Mina's hand gripped tightly onto the steering-wheel that her nails scrapped the side of the custom csrbon surface of the steering wheel. Lowering her gaze to her phone, Nina awkwardly laughed as she then went on to sway Cat's uneasy concerns with her dating life.

"You are a woman among women Miss Catherine. It should come to no surprise that you are the embodiment of elegance and will willpower. I have no doubt that even in your golden years, you'll still be ever radiant. "Glancing from her half-baked response, Nina was shocked to see Cat profoundluly depressed as Nina's prediction was simply explaining how Cat would be single even into her future. "H-Huh! M-Miss Catherine -- I didn't mean-"

"It's quite alright, dear. I understand the sentiment though, you do make a valid point. Oh, not about the exaggerated compliments, but that I still have my future ahead of me. Alright, its decided. I am going to give dating a try. To grasp what true love is and experience it with my own heart-"

["Hah! Agh -- Ahh! "] Nina's hands slipped up from her sweat and caused her to phone to flip in her palm, causing the video to resume playing in the quiet car.

For the next several seconds, Nina calmly lowered her window and proceeded with throwing out her phone out in the calmest yet, furocious manner possible.

Before Cat could utter a word amid the sharp cold ambience of the car, Nina started up the engine and pulled out from behind the dozens of parked luxury cars in the deluxe underground parking lot of the the building.

Driving out onto the road calmly, Cat and Nina rode in absolute silence as such a thing tended to happen every once in a while where Nina wad involved yet, Cat refuses to dig any deeper or pry into what Nina does while in her downtime.

Walking out to the front door of Cat's large villa in the outskirts of the city, Nina holds the door open as she follows Cat inside her home.

"I am going to take a shower, in the mean time -- call up some of my old acquaintances, oh-no one from the "Frolly Tory Party". I don't want those girls anywhere near here... Not since the last time we met, you almost ended up arrested for beating down seven guards and a police officer simply because Trifany threw water onto my face and you scared the living crap out of that snobby rich girl. "

"Right... S-Sorry about that. "Cat smiled and turned as she began unzipping her tight red short-dress as she headed to use the large shower room.

As Nina heard the sound of the bathroom door click shut, she soon raised her head and walked over to the spare bedroom next to the shower room Cat was in. Heading inside, Nina picked up a mobile-smart-tablet and began narrowing down the guests to invite just as Cat had asked.

All the while, Nina rearranged the furniture in the room and stopped for a moment as she set the tablet under her arm and removed a small painting of a feild of sunflowers. Finding a small hole, Nina took a seat in a comfortable couch and turned to her right as she lightly pulled on a false set of books at the bottom of a bookshelf to reveal a small, fully stocked mini-fridge inside.

Taking out and opening a beer can, Nina then hooked up a small wire from on top of the mini-fridge and slid it through the narrow hole on the wall. Lightly relaxing, Nina soon flipped the atrnagement of the guests on ine side of the screen on the tablet while receiving high resolution footage on the other of Cat showering behind a hazy glass wall.

"Tsk! "Slightly irritated, Nina opened up a third tab and ordered a new phone be delivered under her name.

Afterwards, Nina casually packed everything away ad Cat finished up in the bathroom. Walking over to the livibgroom and greeting Cat with a hot cup of herbal tea, Nina informed Cat as Cat smiled and took a seat in the livingroom couch while still in her bathrobe.

"Nina. Are you busy later on tonight? "Titling her head earnestly, Nina lightly shook her head once while pouting inoccently. "Great! Then would you care to sleep over-"

"Gah-"Clenching her chest abruptly, it was the first time since working for Cat that she was officially invited to spend the night at Cat's home. "Sorry, I-I'm fine. Please, continue. "

"Oh, uh, o-okay. "Still slightly worried, Cat explained that she wanted to learn more about dating and what better way that to learn it from someone who is in a relationship. "So, I take it you should call and let your Man know you'll be staying over? "

"Oh, I'm sure he'll be fine -- "it'll"! I'm sure "it'll" be fine, I mean. Hm! "Smiling, Cat nodded as she headed into her room to change as the party was set to start in a few hours.

All was in place as Nina had been waiting for such an opportunity to present itself...

"Finally, I'll have her all to myself! No more sneaking around outisde her house late at night, hmm! "
