Book 1: Slaughter Daoist / Chapter 9 – The Traitor

This was after Ken killed his first prey, the bee. Whenever Ken sees living creatures like ants and other insects, he immediately kills them.

And this has been ongoing since he made the deep forest his training grounds and has been killing all sorts of creatures there.

After a few minutes.

[Ding! Congratulations! You've killed 19 creatures! 20/20 Creatures Killed!]

[Ding! Congratulations! You've completed the mission!]

[Reward Mortal Pill (x50) has been added to your storage!]

"That's it!" Ken whispered and then checked his storage. He pulled out a pill, from its pill bottle containing the other 49 pills, and swallowed it.

He circulated his energy according to the stage 1 body technique and a sinister aura came out from his body. He sat immediately and compressed the bloodthirstiness he felt then controlled his emotion.

Significant improvement has been a great deal for Ken since he started cultivating the technique and with his master's guidance, he got used to the aura and energy the technique uses.

Silence has come again in his surroundings and the training continues.

"Was he here?" A young man said. He was wearing armor that looked like has been used a lot as it has many sword marks on it. This was Ken's brother.

"Yes, your highness, another man in armor said. He has a broad sword hanging on his back. It was the servant.

"I heard he killed all 10 henchmen of our lovely queen, right?"

"Correct your highness, and this is where the princess died." He pointed at the location where Ken killed his sister.

"Ah, that twig, he appears to have been lucky if he killed our sister using a twig." The young prince said and added, "What a lucky bastard."

"So, have you been able to locate his current location?" He asked.

"Yes, your highness! He is currently within the deepest parts of the forest." The servant said.

"Let's go."

After a few hours, the two men, the prince, and his servant arrived at Ken's location. He was sitting and still circulating his energy, according to the body technique.

"Heh…. It appears that my cute little brother has been hiding his talents all these years huh? Look at that aura! It's so evil and sinister! Never thought he would come and beg those devils!" The prince said.

"What are your commands, your highness?" The servant bowed.

"We will come and…." The prince whispered the plans to his servant.

A few moments have passed since the other prince and his servant arrived at Ken's location. Ken was made aware by his master of the people that were currently monitoring him.

First was the one that has been following him from the beginning and has not made any actions since. Second, the princess and then the assassins and these two people that have yet to come.

With that said, Ken still sat and focused his attention and energy to accumulate the aura so he can master it perfectly and come to stage two soon.

And within a few minutes, the two showed themselves to Ken. It was one of his elder brothers, Ganter Ping as well as his servant, the up and coming prospected general of the kingdom.

His brother was already at the stage 1 earth immortal realm while the young, soon-to-be general, have already reached Stage 5 of the earth immortal realm.

Ken opened his eyes and looked at the two people that were walking slowly towards him.

He felt vigilant at the moment and suddenly his brother talked.

"Oh little brother, I'm not here to kill you so put down your sword." Ganter said.

"…." "Why would I do that? Your pet is with you, I won't die without a fight, just so you know." Ken looked coldly at the two.

"Heh…. My little brother! Little brother! It appears that you've already grown from the Ken I knew before! What a sad thing, this tradition that is!" Ganter said in a disappointed tone.

"Don't act like you don't know the tradition, you can only kill your siblings if you wanted to live or get the throne. Even if most of us hid in another continent, you will kill us all!" Ken said.

"Sigh. What can I do? It's the mandated law of our family. No one can change that unless we can kill our father, as well as our ancestors, that is currently dormant, which is impossible at all. We can only follow the rules and tradition!" Ganter said.

"And you are here to kill me?" Ken asked in a cold voice.

"No, I don't want to, yet. Maybe later, but not now. I liked you, brother, and I have been good to you. I'd like to keep it that way for now." Ganter answered.

Ken looked in the eyes of Ganter and wondered why. His eyes narrowed at his brother and still had his sword up to defend for any surprise attacks.

"Then… why are you here!?" Ken thought "I am not as naïve as you thought I was!"

His brother shrugged his shoulders and answered, "I just want to let you know that our sister's men are after you, and those are much stronger than the ones you just killed earlier. So I want you to be careful, my little brother." He smiled after.

Ken was still silent after hearing the news. He knew that his sister's mother will still be after him as long as he was still alive.

"Thanks. And?" Ken answered simply and coldly.

"Why so cold little brother? That's it. I'll get going now then…." Ganter turned his back afterward and jumped. Along with this servant, both faded into the distance.

Ganter and his servant went quite a distance away from Ken's location. Ganter kept a serious expression and said, "Kill him."

"Are you sure, your highness?" The servant wanted to confirm.

"Yes, I never thought that he would get stronger. I hate to have an unknown variable in my plans. It's already hard enough with the other siblings and if Ken improves further... He might get in the way of me taking the throne later on." Ganter answered.

"If that's the case, I'll be on my way now, your highness!" The servant jumped out and faded.

"Well… I have bad news for you, my stupid disciple." Ken's master said.

"Huh? What is it, master?" Ken asked, but his instinct already guessed what it was.

"Your brother's servant is coming back." His master answered.

"So that's it, huh? Will I die?" Ken asked.

"No. But you will not die. Treat this as training and unleash everything you got. Let me see any improvement from you. Hehe" Ken's master jokingly said.

"Oh." Ken, on the other hand, was quite nervous. This will be his first time fighting a much stronger opponent, much less 7 stages higher than him.

"He's here." His master told him.

The servant of Ganter has arrived back at Ken's location.

"Let's make this quick." He whispered and faded.

After a few moments, he found Ken and quickly flashed in his back and pulled the sword, then motioned to stab it in Ken's heart.

It took a second when the servant felt heavy killing intent. Then, a counter slash came to him so he backed off.

"So, your highness has been hiding his talent all along?" He said.

"….. I guessed my brother would not let me go. I'm far more ready…. So let's get this over with!" Ken attacked.

"Heh… you're still years away to hurt me." The servant blocked Ken's sword attacks, however, he noticed that the sword strikes Ken made were quite heavy and packed a lot of energy.

He wondered how his highness' brother at stage 8 of the mortal realm did it. Then an idea came to him.

"High-class earth grade artifact?" He asked.

"….." Ken didn't answer and kept on attacking the man with his all.

"No answer? Then it's my lucky day then." The servant smiled and he appeared to be motivated.

The exchange has been going on for a few minutes already and it can be seen that the servant was only blocking Ken's attacks.

Ken had figured out that his opponent was just toying him. It frustrated him and quickly stopped the attack.

He took a distance from the man and sheathed his sword, then he concentrated all of his energy toward his sword to make one sword strike as a gamble.

"Stopped already? Guess without your sword you're nothing huh? What a waste of a good sword that is! So, let me take it off your dead body!" The servant then let out a terrifying amount of energy and then flashed toward Ken. He swung the sword and created an energy sword strike targeting Ken's neck.

Ken still did not move. He waited and when the energy sword strike arrived 1 meter from him, he pulled the sword and flashed towards the man and slashed the sword strike creating an energy slash as well.

Both energies collided and created a blinding light.

After a few moments, the man saw Ken laying on the ground with a big wound in his chest. He on the other hand got wounded in his shoulders, but compared to Ken, he was quite manageable.

"Not bad your highness. Not bad at all! Pity that your highness talent in the battlefield will not see the light of day!" He said.

"Ugghh…" Ken, who has lost all of his senses except the pain in his chest, can only groan for an answer.

After a few moments, he lost consciousness.

The servant has walked 1 meter away from Ken and prepared to inflict the final strike to kill the target.

When he got closer and closer, a sudden change in the surrounding happened. The sound of the forest appeared to have stopped. And then, a spatial disturbance was created between him and Ken.

A second later, a man in a golden robe appeared from the spatial crack.

"Hello." James greeted.
