47 Ch. 45 - Lavender Town

Quickly defeating him, I finally entered 'Lavender Town'.

[You have entered Lavender Town]

{Image Of Lavender Town}

The Town didn't have many buildings or houses, but the most noticeable one was the giant tower.

I found the Pokemon Center just as I entered 'Lavender Town'. Quickly making my way in, I got my Pokemon healed.

"I expected 'Rock Tunnel' to be a bit more challenging, but it was a lot easier to cross 'Rock Tunnel' than 'Mt. Moon'."

I exited the Pokemon Center.

Since there was no Gym in the 'Lavender Town', I didn't have much to do.

I could go to the 'Pokemon Tower', but I wouldn't be able to do much as I'll need a special device to be able to see the Ghost-Type Pokemon that resides inside the Tower.

So, I began exploring the town.

As I exited the Pokemon Center, I came across a sign that read:

<New SILPH SCOPE>

<Make the Invisible Plain to See!>

<SILPH CO.>

'Yes, that's the device I need to be able to see and catch Ghost-Type Pokemon.'

"Ghosts appeared in Pokemon Tower. I think they're the spirits of Pokemon that the ROCKETS killed." said an NPC standing right in front of the sign.

After that, I came across another sign outside the 'Pokemon Tower'.

<Pokemon Tower>

<Becalm the Spirits of Pokemon>

After reading the sign, I looked at the tower which is actually the graveyard of Pokemon.

Just looking at the tower sends chills down my spine.

After that, I continued exploring and found another sign close to the Poke Mart of 'Lavender Town' that read:

<LAVENDER TOWN>

<The Noble Purple Town>

"This town is known as the grave site of Pokemon. Memorial services are held in Pokemon Tower." said an NPC standing just beside the sign.

While exploring, I also checked out the Poke Mart and found that one of the salespeople was selling cosmetic items like Hats and T-shirts.

[Beret

Pointed Hat

Teddy Ears

Tricorne

Long Sleeve Top

T-Shirt

Sleeveless Top

Shoes

Boots

Skirts

Pants]

I checked out some of the items, and most of them were of ₽2,000. I chose to leave and not buy anything since I feel it's a waste to spend money on cosmetic items in the Pokemon World.

I looked around the town and the houses but didn't find anything interesting.

'Now, only one last house left.'

I looked at the last house which had a sign placed at its entrance that read:

<Lavender Volunteer>

<Pokemon House>

I made my way inside, and the inside was a lot similar to the Pokemon Club in 'Vermilion City'.

There were 3 NPC kids along with 2 Pokemon inside the house.

"It's so warm! Pokemon are so nice to hug." said NPC 1.

"This is really Mr. Fuji's house. He's really kind. He looks after abandoned and orphaned Pokemon." said NPC 2.

"That's odd, Mr. Fuji isn't here. Where'd he go?" said NPC 3.

*Ding*

[New Quest]

[Quest - Where is Mr. Fuji 1/2 {Unique}

Description - Mr. Fuji, a kindhearted person who looks after abandoned and orphaned Pokemon is missing. Find what happened to Mr. Fuji.

Reward - Unknown

Deadline - Until someone else finds Mr. Fuji.

Failure - None]

[<Accept > <Reject >]

After listening to the NPC, a quest pops up. Reading the description of the quest, I pressed <Accept >.

'From what I remember, Mr. Fuji should be held hostage by Team Rocket in the 'Pokemon Tower', but to reach the area where he is held captive, I'll need to face off against the angry spirit of Marowak.'

'But I can't fight it without 'Silph Scope'.'

Since I'll be able to get my hands on 'Silph Scope' later, I don't have to worry about the quest.

After receiving the quest, I exited the 'Pokemon House'.

Now that I have explored the whole 'Lavender Town', I guess it is time to move on.

'But which way to go?'

While exploring the town, I came across two paths leading outside of 'Lavender Town', but I couldn't remember which one to take to get to the next city.

That's when I remembered that I had the map of the 'Kanto Region' in my backpack which I received from Blue.

I quickly took out the map and checked the directions for the next city.

After looking at the map, I realized that I needed to take the west path to get to the next city, which is 'Saffron City'. Whereas the south path would have taken me back to 'Vermilion City'.

Putting away the map, I headed to the west of 'Lavender City' and soon exited the town.

[You have entered Route 8]

{Image Of Route 8}

Looking from afar, I could see many NPC trainers on 'Route 8'.

'I could level up some more with them' I thought as I realized I needed to change my team and put Rhyhorn back.

So, I hurried back to the Pokemon Center.

[You have entered Lavender Town]

I replaced Oddish back with Rhyhorn and made my way back to 'Route 8'.

"And the grind begins."
