7 Ch. 06 - Pokemon Union

After enjoying my instant noodles, I grabbed my phone again since I had nothing else to do. A new notification appeared in front of me.

[Emergency - Unknown Phenomena Of Pokemon World]

Looking at the notification, which was issued by the government, I clicked on it.

[Breaking News]

[People From The Age Group Of 19 To 50 Can Enter Another World]

Two headlines appeared in front of me, and right after that, the screen changed to the President of this country sitting along with other World Leaders.

"Hello, citizens. many of you including us, have recently come back from the unknown other world, which is said to be called The Pokemon world."

"Before we begin, We would like to say that, same as you guys, we also had no information about such an event, and we have no hand in it."

"The main point is that our world is now connected to the world of Pokemon; the reason for this is currently unknown. After analyzing the videos of Pokemon Professors by the people, we have concluded that the ultimate goal is to integrate the creatures called Pokemon into our world."

"The world of Pokemon is a treasure trove for us because we can take out items and Pokemon from the world of Pokemon, which could lead us into a better future. The resources that could be taken out of the Pokemon world will be helpful, but compared to the Pokemon and their magical abilities, they are not as important."

"As such, we have decided to create a new division of people called The 'Pokemon Union'. The 'Pokemon Union' will handle everything related to Pokemon."

"It is also decided that every active player or Pokemon trainer, as the people of the Pokemon world call them, will receive a monthly allowance depending on their Pokemon count and their strength. The goal of this decision is to allow the player to focus completely on the Pokemon and find the condition which will allow the people to take out Pokemon from The Pokemon world."

"Not only that, When the players can take Pokemon out of the Pokemon world, Those Pokemon can be sold to The 'Pokemon Union' such that we can discover more about the Pokemon."

"To register yourself as an active trainer and gain the benefits, you will have to visit the 'Pokemon Union' website and register yourself. Currently, we don't have any way to verify if the person is an active trainer or not. So the benefits that you will be given are only minimal. But as soon as we find a proper way to verify a player, more and better benefits will be provided."

"The 'Pokemon Union' website also has a public information page where the members of 'Pokemon Union' will regularly update information related to the Pokemon World."

The President kept on talking, but I had no interest in listening to all that information dump. I had already seen the main points of this speech, so I turned it off.

After exiting the video, I searched for 'Pokemon Union' on the internet and came across the official 'Pokemon Union' website. I quickly completed the registration process for an active player since I was in dire need of funds and couldn't wait because I couldn't live on only energy bars and instant noodles.

After completing the registration process and adding my bank details to receive the monthly allowance to my Player account, I looked at my account, which shows 'Account Verification Pending'.

It was an exciting yet exhausting day, so I put away my phone and went to sleep.

At 7 O'clock in the morning, The alarm on my phone rang, waking me up from my sweet dreams.

Just as I was about to turn off the alarm and return to my sleep, a floating window in front of me caught my attention.

[The Daily 6 Hours Limit Has Been Reset.]

[Enter The Pokemon World?]

[<Yes > <No >]

"Oh, So I can now enter the Pokemon world anytime I want."

Immediately, I got up from my bed and went to my bathroom to freshen up. After coming out, I opened an energy bar to eat while heating the water to make some instant noodles.

While the water was heating up, I checked my phone for any important information. And boy oh boy, people have already completed their 6-hour limit for today. Many of the players who didn't go to sleep early were able to enter the Pokemon world while other players were asleep.

Another thing that I noticed is that my player account has been approved, and I have received around 7,500 USD in my bank account, which is neither a small nor too large amount, just enough to pay for a month's expenses.

After eating the noodles, I lay down on my bed and chose <Yes > to go to the world of Pokemon.

Just like last time, I was instantly transported to the world of Pokemon. I was standing in the same spot as I was before.

Since I have completed the main quest, I can now explore the 'Pallet Town', though I doubt that I would find anything interesting here.

After about 30 minutes of running around 'Pallet Town and talking to various NPCs, I was again at the north of 'Pallet Town'.

Talking to the NPCs was a waste of time as I didn't gain anything useful, just some tips that I already knew. Looking around more and more players were coming to the Pokemon world and many of them were going towards the 'Route 1'.

Along the way, I heard one of the players saying that he was almost at the 'Viridian City' before his time limit was up. When he came back today, he was back at the 'Pallet Town' with a notification that 'You have been transported to the nearest safe place that you have visited.'

After hearing the player, I can understand that if a player were to exit the Pokemon world while being in the wild or any dangerous place, then the player would be transported to the nearest safe place that the player has already visited.

It's going to be a hell lot of trouble crossing the Mt. Moon and Rock Tunnel in under 6 hours, especially Rock Tunnel which has almost no light. Who knows by the time I reach Rock Tunnel, the first month might be up, which will remove the 6-hour limit on the players.

Along with other players, I too entered 'Route 1'.

While crossing the first section of the tall grass, I encountered 2 Rattata. One Rattata of Lv. 2 and another of Lv. 4, which I knocked both of them out using <Ember > and <Scratch >

[Charmander gained 17 EXP. Points]

[Charmander gained 33 EXP. Points]

After crossing the second section of the tall grass, I came across an NPC who gave me a potion and asked me to come visit the Poke Mart in 'Viridian City' to buy Items and Poke Balls.

Another wild encounter with Hoothoot Lv. 5, which I decided to catch. After using two <Scratch >, I knocked the HP to 1/3 and chose to use a Poke Ball from the third screen.

The Poke Ball shook three times, and White particles burst from the center of the Poke Ball, and the Poke Ball flew into my hand. I caught it on the first try. Putting the Poke Ball away, I continued on my way.

Before I reached 'Viridian City', I encountered four more wild Pokemon: two Rattata, both Lv. 3 and two Hoothoot, one of Lv. 3 and the other one of Lv. 5. I defeated all four of them using Charmander.

I reached 'Viridian City' as my Charmander grew to Lv. 10. Quickly moving to the Pokemon Center, I went to Nurse Joy to get my Pokemon healed.

Other than me, there were 3 more players who came to heal their Pokemon.

Pressing <Yes >, The Poke Balls flew out of my body into Nurse Joy's hands. She told me to wait for a few minutes as other Pokemon were being healed right now.

I moved to the small sitting area to sit and wait for my Pokemon to heal.

Looking at the other three players, All three of them had 1 Poke Ball each, which means that they have not yet completed their quest to deliver Professor Oak's parcel and haven't received Poke Balls to catch new Pokemon.

Just as I was about to sit down, one of the players came up to me.

"Hello, Brother. If it is okay, can you tell me where you got another Pokemon and Poke Ball?" he asked.

'Well, It's not a secret or anything that I can't tell him, and even if I didn't tell him, he will know about it once he delivers Professor Oak's parcel.'

"You can get Poke Balls to catch new Pokemon once you deliver the parcel to Professor Oak." I said to him in a flat voice.

"Yes, yes, you are right. How forgetful of me; I forgot what the reward of that quest was." he said.

"So, does that mean that you have already completed that quest? And here I thought that I was in the lead." he said.

Just as he was about to say anything more, Nurse Joy called me, indicating that my Pokemon had been restored.

"Sorry man, But I got to go." Saying that I quickly took the Poke Balls from Nurse Joy and exited the Pokemon Center.

"Damn, I should have asked him for the location of the Poke Mart. Now I'll have to waste my time looking for it."

After exiting the Pokemon Center, I made my way to the Poke Mart to buy some supplies.
