The town getting sieged!

They took a step forward and as soon as that, the land behind them was gone, replaced by the sea. They were nervous at first when they saw the land behind them disappeared but continued onward to north.

Day slowly turned to night, the warmth of the day replaced by the coldness of the night, striking the body despite the thick fur coat protecting them. At that moment, the boy found themselves walking on a clear land and weirdly, upward a hill, leaving the trail on the thick layer of slow as they took their steps.

The scene they saw at the other side of the hill when they reached what it seems to be the highest point of the hill gave them a great warmth on their mind, a town protected by wooden walls, not far from the position they stand. As it was their last hope to escape from the coldness that slowly creeping up their body, the two boys ran as fast as they could toward the town's direction.

Didn't take long for the two boys to get noticed by the town guards on the wall. One of them waved a torch to the air when the two boys were halfway to reaching the wooden walls. He got the two boys' attention and after that; he pointed with his finger toward his right direction.

The two boys looked at their left and saw red, shiny eyes staring at them, Abelard showed up almost immediately and shouted at Abel, "Abel! Go to your right, right now! There are great dangers on the left!"

The boy directed his course instantly, and his friend did the same. They kept going west and found the wall, not a minute later. The gate opened, and they went inside the town. Both of the boys fell on the ground with heavy panting.

After some time of getting their breath back, Halius muttered, "What was that?"

One of the town guards, with a brown hair and brown eyes, approached them and said, "Thank god I managed to give a signal to you two. That red eyes are called undead, type of monster summoned by lich or necromancer"

Abel got himself up and cleaned his pants. He slightly bowed to the guard and said, "Thank you for helping us. Can you perhaps help us find a shelter, an inn maybe? We just came back from our adventure at the south"

The guard looked at him suspiciously, he seems to be examining Abel from his head to toes, but that suspicious look soon turned to a smile, "Sure, follow me as I give you a tour through this town while I do my patrol!"

The two boys got a tour from the guard and ended up in front of an inn where the guard left them there. Abel and Halius entered the inn and straight up got a room for each of themselves.

Abel immediately got himself on the bed and called for the mini boy, "Abelard, I have a question to ask, how do you know there was a great danger before?"

Abelard appeared in front of him and gave him a simple answer, "Easy, I know because I can feel mana. Those creatures got dark mana between them and dark mana itself gave mage a cold feeling and I was able to notice it because I was in a warm place somewhere inside your body"

Abel looked straight at him and said, "So… I didn't notice the feeling because the cold hid it? Pretty weird…"

Abelard just nodded and there were a few silence moment between them. Suddenly, the mini boy raises one of his eyebrows and placed two of his fingers on his chin, then he said, "Pretty weird, that the scouts like the guard say is just scout… Well… I guess there's nothing wrong"

He disappeared after he said that, Abel just sighed and logged off (Because once again, he can't really sleep on the game)

The next day when Abel logged inside the game once again and got himself up from the game, he was greeted by the sight of Abel, floating right in front of his view. He was nervously and profusely sweating for some reason and with a stutter, he said to Abel, "Abel… Tha-that, yes-yesterday was not the sco-scout!"

Suddenly, a great explosion could be heard, and the room shook. He quickly exited the building and saw Halius on his armour, looking at the source of the explosion with a sword in his hand. Then from the far distance, the wooden gate was breached.

Not long after that, unarmoured skeletons with shiny red eyes and armed shield, sword and some with bows poured inside. The guard tried to hold them on the gate but their number was too great and they went to every direction.

Screams could be heard right after that. Halius approached Abel with a firm grip on his sword and asked, "Abel… what are we going to do? Are we going to help this town or just escape from the other gates?"

Right after he said the words, another great explosion could be heard and smoke began flying from the direction of the gate. Halius cussed, "Fuc, looks like we are going to help the town, that gate was also destroyed!"

Abel equipped his simple armour and sword and when he was done, he saw civilians running towards his position. Behind them is a swarm of undead. He charged at that direction and Halius followed him. When they were in range, they swung their sword at the skeletons.

Destroying them one by one as their sword met the weak skeleton's body. The fight was pretty easy, but they saw another group of undead charging at their way. Abel and Halius took a firm stance and gritted their teeth.

"Come at me!", They both shouted as fighting spirits fills their body

The siege of Holl has just begun.
