Battles and Dwarves?

When Abel's count reached zero, he and all the other elves sprung forward from their position and charged toward the orcs. The orcs were surprised and shocked at the same time, maybe they didn't expect this kind of act from the race that lived peacefully in the forest.

But whatever the reason is, the orcs stopped and didn't move. They looked in horror as the small, well equipped, the armoured regiment under 50 people charged toward them. When an orc turned around and began running for the camp, one by one of the orcs followed him.

Momentum was broken by that one person and the orcs did a full-scale retreat but stopped when they saw another type of horror, this time from their own kind. The first orc that fled can be seen being hit by a giant mace by an orc with an enormous size of a body. Behind the giant orc, an army of armoured and well-equipped orcs could be seen.

His body flew toward the unarmoured orcs, they stood there in horror, in one side, the elves are charging toward them and on the other, their own kind was killing them. Their fates are like Poland in world war two, sandwiched between 2 power that would eventually kill them nonetheless.

The orcs, despite being desperate, chose to charge at the elves instead of their own kind, not surprised to say, they didn't last a second after impact. When the elves were close enough, they extended their arms and stabbed the orcs, some got it on the stomach and some got it on their head or maybe even legs.

But that was just a small-sized force of 50 orcs that the elves just killed, the real deal is right in front of them. The fresh, prepared, armoured and well-equipped armour that looked more organized than the small force upon their eyes.

Abel raised one of his fists, and the elves stopped. He took a glance behind him and could clearly see the expression of the elves. Nervous and scared, they started sweating, "Do not be scared men! We may not be a big force like them, but we are more trained and equipped, ready your stamina potion and green potion anytime soon!"

They responded, "Yes sir!" and Abel continued his words, "Once again! In my count, when it reaches zero, we all charge toward the orcs! Do not forget that this is for your home and forest!"

"3!" Without even giving them any time to answer, the boy started the countdown.

"2!" It started getting really intense, tension could be felt running through each of the elves. Even when they tried their best to hide it, their natural body couldn't, they trembled and sweated.

"1!" The orcs are near about 20 seconds from their line, the elves are getting more and more scared as second passes. But despite all the feeling, they changed to their fighting stance.

"0! Charge!!" Just like before, all of them sprung forward toward the orcs and charged. A loud war cry could be heard coming from the elves as they charged toward the orcs with their spears pointing toward their enemies.

Clink

On the impact, the elves sprung their spears forward, possibly delivering a killing blow toward the orcs. The orcs stood no chance, even with the armour that covered most of their torso and legs.

But right after that, the once organized charge soon changed to a big sized pit fight. The table flipped as soon as the pit fight started, orcs have better and bigger muscles than elves and that's why they are in an advantageous position.

Even when Abel went around the fight and killed the orcs while they were distracted by the elves, there was no way the elves have an upper hand in the fight. But it was about to change when Abel saw something, the giant orc, fighting with another elf.

Their weapons met and Abel slowly snuck up to him and with his sword, Abel gave the orc a nice trip to hell with just one quick stab. The elf that was fighting with the orc bowed to Abel quickly and went away to help the other elves.

Meanwhile, he slowly approached the upper body of the orcs and cut his head off with his sword. He was silent in the process and when he was done, he held it up to the air and made as much sound as possible.

He screamed, shouted, and swung his long sword in the air. It was enough to both gather the orcs and the elves' attention. When the orcs saw the head of their own commander being swung on the air, they dropped their weapons and ran for their lives to their camp.

The elves stood there, not chasing after the orcs. They looked at each other and a smile emerged out on their faces. Some hugged each other, some shook each other's hand, some cheered while some others did a little victory dance.

Abel smiled when he saw the sight of the elves. He slowly dropped the head of the orc's commander and looked at the orcs. The grand elder approached him from behind and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, startling him, "Woah, grand elder, you startled me!"

The old man smiled at him, "Don't call me grand elder, just call me Calendin, you showed the elves your bravery and your intelligence by leading them in this battle, you showed me something I have never seen before in my 500 years of life, I'm honoured to meet you"

Calendin bowed to the boy and Abel just looked at him for a few seconds before looking back toward the orcs, "I'm grateful for your words but I feel something will happen just seconds later, something that will…"

Boom!

An explosion could be seen everywhere, hitting all the orcs, it also caught the attention of all the elves as they looked at the ongoing explosion everywhere. Flames soon covered the ground and the bodies of the orcs as it laid on the ground and not moving.

But something even weirder happens, the ground crumbles and the flame was replaced with dust in a few seconds and several big holes could be seen from where the elves stood. The shadows of short creatures can be seen inside the cloud of the clouds of dust that covered the place.

The grand elder suddenly said to Abel, "Dwarves, I can feel those are dwarves. The elves and dwarves have some kind of hatred between each other, I don't think we should even talk to them at all…"

Abel ignored his word, "No, you all stay here, I'll go talk to them and try to see why they came out from under the ground. Maybe could even get some help against some orcs clans"

Calendin furrowed his eyebrows before saying, "Well, if that's what you want, I'll go with you. Even though the dwarves are disgusting, they could be some help against the orcs!"

Both the boy and the old man walked toward what the old man said to be dwarves, leaving the other elves behind, staring at them. When the boy was close enough, he believed to Calendin. The creatures in front of his eyes are really dwarves.

As they both approached the dwarves closer and closer, the clouds of dust went away and it revealed the clearer sights of the dwarves. Men, women and children, they stood just outside of the holes, it could be seen that the men are armed with simple axes, spears and shields.

This made Abel thought about it but he cleared his thought as soon as possible and continued on his way. When he was close enough, the dwarves noticed him. They formed a simple circle with shields, surrounding the boy and the old man. One dwarf, with a giant axe, almost as big as himself, on his arm entered the circle and asked, "What do you want boy?! And why is there an elf beside you?!"

Calendin was about to open his mouth but Abel raised his clenched fist, the boy said to him using telepathy, 'Calendin, if you can hear me, go get the other elves, I'll talk with the dwarves here and try to see what their motives are'

Within a second, the old man was gone from his sight, leaving the boy and the dwarves alone, "Hello, mister dwarf, I'm not here to cause trouble, just wondering why the dwarves are coming out from the holes behind"

The dwarf took a glance behind him, to the direction of the orcs camp and turned his head back to Abel, "We have something to do currently, just go away kid, not like you are going to be a big help to us, anyway!"

Abel smiled at them and observed the orc camp for a few seconds before continuing his words, "Is it related to the orcs? If it is, I think I could be some help to the dwarves. In fact, we just defeated the orcs like a minute ago or so"

The dwarf raised one of his eyebrows and then noticed the small army of elves that are coming toward them. He raised his giant axe to the air and said, "Prepare for battle! The elves are coming!"
