[Apex Predator]

Nothing escapes the Snail.

Endowed with an unparalleled sense of spatial awareness, it possesses an infallible ability to discern the precise whereabouts of its intended target, rendering any attempt to conceal or obscure oneself futile and ineffectual in evading its detection.

[Dark Gift]

The Snail is your Patron.

The seemingly unremarkable snail, endowed with no extraordinary powers or abilities, has paradoxically become an overpowered entity, capable of bestowing unfathomable riches and eternal life upon its chosen prey in exchange for the ultimate sacrifice - to serve as its prey.

However, the terms of this Faustian bargain are immutable: the moment the snail makes physical contact with its prey, certain and irrevocable death is inevitable.

In the comfort of a traditional Japanese home, a young man with striking white hair sat alone, pouring over his first and only research that ended in failure. Despite the disappointment, a wistful smile graced his lips as he gazed out the window, where nothing but the empty void of darkness lay before.

As he reflected on his distant past and his fateful encounter with the mythical creature, the young man recalled his initial confusion and amusement at the idea of gaining immortality from an insignificant snail.

But once he learned the truth, he did not tremble in fear or flee from the snail that held the power to end his life. Instead, he embraced his insatiable thirst for knowledge and set his sights on his greatest challenge yet - unraveling the mysteries of the very creature that could take his life. For the young man, there was no greater pursuit than the pursuit of knowledge, and he would stop at nothing to achieve it, even if it meant facing his own demise.

However, despite his unyielding determination, the young man soon realized that some secrets may never be uncovered, and his once youthful optimism was replaced by a sense of humility. But he refused to give up, for he knew that even the most daunting challenges could be overcome with perseverance and patience.

As he slowly but surely amassed all the knowledge the universe had to offer, he continued to pursue the mystery of the snail that had granted him immortality. And one day, he knew that he would unlock its secrets, for there was no limit to the power of knowledge and the unyielding spirit of those who seek it.

And that day did indeed come, as the young man commanded the Ai embedded within his brain to initiate his plan. With a gleam of excitement in his eyes, he eagerly welcomed the final piece of his grand masterpiece - the Immortal Snail - as it entered his presence.

"Welcome."

The young man gazed upon the unassuming snail as it slowly crawled along, a warm smile spreading across his face. While some may curse the snail for cursing them with an endless life, watching as their loved ones wither away in their arms with the passage of time, the young man felt nothing but boundless gratitude towards it. For him, whose only pursuit was knowledge, the snail was a precious gift.

And so, as a token of his gratitude, the young man had decided that his final magnum opus would be a gift to the Immortal Snail.

As he held the door open for the Immortal Snail, the young man gazed out at the dying universe before him. So much time had passed, and yet it felt like only a fleeting moment for him.

He reflected on all the knowledge he had gained from this dying universe - knowledge that he had known from the very beginning could have been used to avoid the snail entirely by creating a time machine to stop his past self from ever accepting the contract.

But why would he want to do that? For the young man, there was something exhilarating about being chased by the snail in pursuit of his dream of boundless knowledge. Unlike those who came before him, who squandered their lives running from the snail while indulging in their carnal desires.

The young man felt no desire for such foolish pursuits. Yet.

And with a sly grin, he proclaimed.

"That is why I shall make the dying universe my plate, with the Immortal Snail as my delectable main dish! Its exquisite flavor will transport me to a new realm, where I can sate my youthful heart's craving for adventure and indulgence!"

With an exaggerated flourish, he threw back his head and let out a laugh that would make any villain proud. The snail, seemingly unfazed by the commotion, came to an abrupt halt, fixing its unblinking gaze on its target.

"It was just a joke," the young man reassured as he closed the door, making sure the snail couldn't catch up to him as it finally entered the house. He made his way down the hall and up the stairs, with the snail accompanying him every step of the way until he reached his room.

Opening the door, he sat on the edge of his bed and looked down at the snail, still making its slow progress towards him. He then turned his gaze towards the window, where he saw the universe, now fragmented, being slowly consumed by a bizarre artificial black hole he just now machinated.

"I've created this machine to help me reach a new reality, to discover new things and knowledge. The universe will serve as its fuel, while you will be its compass and guide. I hope you will accompany me on this new adventure of mine," the young man said with a smile. He then stood up once again, listening as the AI confirmed the success of the initial process of his plan.

"Now, you just need to follow me through this"

he said with an exhilarated grin. He swung open his wardrobe to reveal a sphere that was far too large to fit inside the furniture. Its size was comparable to that of the old moon, but its appearance was something entirely different. The sphere was a wonder of futuristic design, with sleek, metallic surfaces that gleamed in the light. Its edges seemed to blur and shift, as if the very fabric of reality was bending around it.

Excitement coursed through him as he couldn't help but burst out laughing once again as he confirm the success of the universe devoration before he threw himself towards his ultimate creation, a device he had been working on for countless eons after attaining all the knowledge he possibly could. Conflicted over the completion of the purpose of his being, he devised a plan to plunder other realities.

His greed was unmeasurable, and his drive even more so. He didn't even bat an eye when he decided to sacrifice his own planet, galaxy, and the entire universe for it. Not even the Immortal Snail, whom he considered his only friend and family, was safe, as he intended to use it as a sacrifice as well.

He had even lied to the Immortal Snail in order to fool it, but even if it had known that he would use it as the essence of his machine, it would have been powerless to stop him. Its ultimate purpose was to chase him, and now that he had killed everything living in the once-existing universe, which was now fuel for his machine, it could no longer break its contract with him.

"You've followed me this far, why won't you follow me until the end?" the young man shouted towards the snail, which was also free-falling towards the sphere. Just as the snail touched him inside the sphere, the young man disappeared, and the entire reality shattered as the process was completed.

Leaving a shattered white canvas that desolves to nothingness.

Now the question is.

"Did he succeeded?"
