60 Chapter 59

Damn. That combustionbender girl was a bombshell — literally. She'd made a whole large ring explode into shreds. 

Chen floated above the ring, and he stared toward the audience. 

Some of them were screaming, and some had hidden for a cover. 

He looked for that tall girl, and he didn't find her in the crowd. Even with his thermal sense, he couldn't find her. There were too many people here, and they released many heat signals that it was hard to find the right one. 

Why did the Order of the Red Lotus target him? 

That didn't matter honestly. 

He'd been the one who targeted them in the first place. 

If they offered themselves on a silver platter, then so be it. 

He flew out of the ring to the entrance, and he sorted, running through the stairs before getting outside. He found himself standing between the buildings of the abandoned neighbour, which happened to be one of the black spots. 

He floated in the air, reaching a high level while closing his eyes. He unleashed his senses. 

Behind him and from the left side, he could see a heat signal heading toward him. It was as if the air was changing its temperature. 

Chen extended his hand to the left, releasing a jet flame that pushed him to the side. 

A few hundred meters above him, an explosion occurred. The impact was strong, but it wasn't enough to push him. Chen stopped flying, and he landed on the top of ten stories building, looking down. He could see the woman hiding behind a pillar through his extra senses. 

Just as he was preparing for a good attack to finish her, a water rope appeared beneath him and tried to wrap his leg. 

He tilted his back behind and jumped backwards. 

The water pressed on the roof, seeming to pull the bender who was using it. 

In no time, a woman appeared in the air. She was short, had black hair and blue eyes. 

She had no arms — poor thing. 

No, hold on. 

Instead of each arm, she had six arms made of water. Their tip was frozen, making six blades in total. 

She was too close to him. She started waving her octopus-like water arms toward him. Chen started dodging the attacks at the same time. Since he had no blind stop, he could see all of them. However, this didn't mean that he could keep up.

Extending his hands to the sides, a purple fire appeared. It compressed, turning into a long blade. Each was thirty centimetres. 

Chen waved the daggers on the ice blades, protecting his neck from double ice blades. He then jumped back, saving his limbs from getting cut.  Chen then waved his hands, sending the two daggers flying; 

She jumped and flipped in the air, dodging the water, shortening the distance.

The short woman clenched her teeth. The blades regenerated. They surrounded Chen from every direction, and they were above to cut him. No space to dodge. 

With no hands, she seemed to have the ability to bend with her mind. 

Chen almost vanished from the sheer speed as he jumped upward, appearing in the air. 

He aimed his fingers down, releasing lightning. 

The arms of the short lady separated from her body, creating a path for the lightning to get released to the ground. 

Smirking as landed on the ground, Chen extended his hand to the left, creating a lightning edge. He was about to dash until he saw a layer of ice on the ground. He would glide. 

He ran forward, slowly, and put his hand on the ground. 

A lightning stream dashed through the ground, heading toward her. 

She pushed her hands to the ground, using her water arms to send her flying in the air. 

Opening his mouth widely, Chen took a deep breath. 

This woman was troublesome for sure. However, he could defeat her without wasting much energy. 

Chen had many types of fire. Using the Dragon Breath with Shadow Flame, he exhaled a large sea of fire from his mouth. 

The fire, instead of providing heat, absorbed it. 

The octopus girl wrapped her arms around her, not finding a way to escape. 

Just at that moment, a compressed air stream clashed against the shadow fire. 

It created an explosion that pushed the shadow flame to the buildings aside. 

Whenever the darker flame passed by an object, a layer of ice appeared. 

Cold breeze spread around. 

The explosion from earlier had sent the waterbender flying to the side, which saved her. 

Chen pointed his hand to the sky, in the direction the woman was going into. 

A lightning bolt left his finger, and since she was in the air, she couldn't redirect the lightning. 

The lightning hit her.

"The combustion bitch bender. I'm trying my best not to cause propriety damage, and you're doing this." Chen said. "Listen, I have a history with the police, and I don't want to make it worse. So, how about you come outside, and I'll give you a few spanks. If not, I'll make you pay." 

"The lover of the Avatar." Said a deep voice behind him. "You seem to fear the results of the battle, although it's not over yet. Your fearful mind is against you."

"Plain English, please."  Chen slowly turned his head. 

From the air, a man was slowly descending. The air was pushing him slowly up, so his fall got weaker. 

He was about 178 cm tall, had a muscular body, and had long grey hair, which was floating with the wind. 

"Fearful and unwise." 

"I can assume the gang is here." Slightly frowning, Chen said. "The warm-up time is over." 

Without making a slight movement, a black flame appeared around him. 

It took the shape of a small snake, and it headed to Zaheer. Just at that moment, lava appeared from the ground and clashed against the black flame. 

The lava fell on the roof, and the black flame didn't vanish, seeming to slowly burn the lava. 

"Right." Chen didn't need to turn his head. "The lava bender is here." 

He turned his head. A green-eyed man was walking toward him. He had a long moustache and long black hair. He was slender and tall. From his features, one could tell that he was an earthbender who could bend lava. 

Lava was one of the hottest matters on earth. 

But at least, it's not Akainu's magma. Otherwise, Chen may have to worry about his fire getting burned. 

Although he was surrounded by the three of them, he wasn't taking the situation lightly. He knew that he was against exceptional benders, and he alone was facing them. 

"Time to level up the challenge." 

He took a deep breath. As he exhaled slowly, a dark purple line of fire appeared in front of his feet. It rose to what seemed a wall, before extending forward. Chen, at his 18th level of Firebending, which was two levels below the max level, could bend his mind with high efficiency. 

The fire joined in one point and headed to Zaheer, who reached his back and grabbed an airbender staff. 

Zaheer circled his staff a few times, saying. "Air is the breath of fire." 

A wind orb appeared, and it was absorbing the air from the surrounding. The fire moved along it to the centre of the orb. Zaheer started sweating. Although the dark purple fire wasn't his finest, it was very hot and grades above the average fire. 

"How about this." Deciding to level up the challenge, Chen circled his Chi in his body. Since he had perfect Chi control now, he no longer was restricted by a certain multiplier in his power or physical boosts.

The ground was shifting beneath the lavabender. He, in no time, appeared behind Chen. Meanwhile, Zaheer waved his staff, creating a few air streams that headed at Chen. 

At the same time, the lava bender jumped and smashed his fists down. Cracks spread, glowing red and turning the roof into lava. 

Chen flew up. He then looked at the lavabender, whom Chen considered the most troublesome one to deal with. The lavabender glared at Chen, raising his hands. A stream of lava flew at Chen. 

Chen pointed his hands at him. From each finger, a lightning bolt was unleashed.

Ten larger-than-usual lightning bolts, enhanced by Chen's control of energy, clashed against the lava. Some got around the lava. The lavabender didn't have enough speed to post-react. 

As for the lava, it was pushed backwards. Sparks danced around it, and its heat rose. 

Soon, the lava turned into ashes.

Chen muttered as he looked at the fallen burned man. 

He knew for real that his foe's heart had stopped.

He then looked beneath him. The lava had spread on the roof, and it collapsed on the building. 

Great. Now Chief Beifong would have a long lecture to give him. She would say behave like a good boy… He would say sorry Mommy or Granny, she would say I'm not, and he would say he's not a boy…. Right. It had been a long time since he couldn't remember. 

Zaheer opened his eyes widely. He then looked at Chen, clenching his teeth. 

He circled his staff, creating a mini tornado. Chen felt the air pulling him, but he pushed himself in the other direction. Soon, another compressed air came, turning the air tornado off. 

Chen turned his head, and he saw Korra jumping from another building, reaching the one he was at. 

"Korra." He blinked twice when she landed. 

Korra was wearing a collar.

"I was with Asami. She said that she was worried and that I should check up on you." Korra said. "It appears that the Red Lotus order is here, and they are targeting you." 

Good thing that Korra didn't catch him fighting underground. 

"What were you doing with Asami?" 

Although this was a death-life battle between benders, where death by one shot was possible, he had to ask. 

Korra had a black leather collar. It usually defines the submissive part of the relationship. 

"We were shopping for clothing? Why?" Korra said. "Asami said that she wanted to buy some clothes for me." 

Korra didn't seem to realise that Chen had found out about her. 

"Let me guess" he landed next to her. "She bought black leather clothes for herself." 

"How did you know?" Korra asked.  

"Your neck." Chen faked a cough, trying his best to hide his smile. 

Korra reached her neck. As she touched the collar, she blushed slightly and said. "Let's focus on getting these bastards down."
