20 Chapter 20

"Old man my ass. But a supreme earthbender who lived for 112 years."

From what he had seen in the Last Air Bender show, Bumi was very strong compared to the other earthbenders. The size of the rocks he could lift, and the skills he has in his arsenals made him special.

Haru was very tempted to learn from him. That man had stopped one of Haru's deadliest skills by smiling.

"Finally, someone who gets it." Bumi sounded a bit happy.

He stomped, and the earth cracked in Haru's direction as a shockwave passed there. Haru took a step to the side, and the ground beneath his original spot shifted its shape, sending a boulder flying up from there.

"Guess I won't have to hold back." Haru jogged in his place as he stared at Bumi and stomped on the ground, transcending a shockwave, which made the ground beneath Bumi raise in blinding speed. A boulder rose from the earth and rose, Bumi was standing on it. He flipped backwards and kicked with both his legs, making the boulder change its direction toward Haru, who ran forward, jumped, and kicked with both of his legs, sending the boulder back to Bumi.

Bumi landed on his feet, and he stared stunned at the attack.

He seemed to realise that Haru was copying his movements.

Bumi clapped with his hands at the giant boulder, turning it into dust that went through Bumi's strong body, not harming him at all.

Haru could compress the dust since it was beneath Bumi's leg to trap him.

But he chose not.

"You sly young man." Bumi chuckled. "You are trying to learn my style, aren't you?"

"You are very skilled, it would be a shame not to," Haru replied. He stood up relaxed, just like Bumi was.

Haru surely had gotten most of his skills thanks to the gaming system.

But initially, Haru was very talented earthbender.

In the canon timeline, a year later, Haru would be a very skilled bender even though he had very little time and motivation.

He can't underestimate himself.

"Very well." Bumi laughed. "You are wise."

Bumi lifted a rock from the ground, and Haru copied his movement. The next second, they both shot their attacks at the roof. It started collapsing and falling. Bumi gave a turning kick, and so did Haru. They sent their attacks in the same direction. Haru's was bigger, but both of the boulders cancelled each other.

Once they landed on their feet, Bumi let himself fall to the ground. His body sank into the earth and vanished.

Haru closed his eyes and decided to risk it. He let himself fall on his back, and he did the same muscle movement as Bumi, his body sinking to the ground.

Now, their eyes were useless that they were underground. Bumi was using his earthbending to soften the earth and move. Thanks to his 6th sense, Haru could see that clearly, and learn from it. Haru moved, the path in front of him getting clearer.

[+New Skill: Earth Transfer]

From above, Bumi appeared in Haru's path, standing up. "Playtime's over, young man."

Bumi then punched forward. When his fist landed on Haru's cheek, the latter only turned his cheek, his legs were still in their place.

Bumi's smug smile vanished when Haru smiled.

"That wasn't very bad," Haru said, holding Bumi's fist from his wrist. "But I have extraordinary strength too."

Bumi tried to take his hand back, but he couldn't.

Haru was very strong compared to him. The physical level of Haru now allows him to lift around 700 kilos.

"What are you!?" Bumi punched with his other fist, and Haru held it too.

Although it was dark, Haru could see the stun expression on Bumi's face.

It was amazing to see his physical prowess in action.

He said. "Just a young villager." Haru then made a small jump, from his feet, a small bending wave transcended through the earth and covered Bumi's feet, shackling him.

Haru took his head back, ready to head-butt Bumi, who flinched.

"Hell no!" Bumi raised his head, and then he nodded. Haru's head slammed a wall that appeared from above, breaking it. Bumi took his hands back, freed his legs, and bent his way up to the surface.

Haru rubbed his head. "Seeing you bending with your head was all that I need."

If Haru could develop his bending through other parts of his body, then he would become more powerful.

In battles, speed was a critical element.

To Haru, his bending speed was that element.

If he could bend with his eyes one day, then he was sure that no one will be able to counter him.

"Time to go all out." Haru span, and his body shot up through the earth, getting up to the surface.

[Earth Transfer up to level 3]

Bumi was facing Haru, smiling. Looking at Bumi's face, Haru could see it was sweating as the king's muscles were tensing.

Haru lifted his hand. A giant piece of earth, tons in weight, was above Haru.

"Good luck." Bumi dropped that rock.

"Thanks for the lesson."

Haru didn't even bother dodging. He used Earth Transfer as he jumped, and he transferred through the giant piece of earth, appearing on the top, sitting, in so little time.

*Bam*

The ground shook, and Bumi almost lost his balance. Haru lifted his hand, and five large spears, enough to kill a giant animal, appeared floating. "Good Luck," Haru said, and the large spears headed at Bumi at high speed. Bumi tried to go under the ground, and his feet sank, Haru used Compress, making it very solid, stopping him.

Bumi looked afraid for the first time. He clapped his hands, changing the direction of the spears slightly. They passed by his cheek, almost taking his life.

"Now, will you give up." Haru aimed his hand at Bumi, the dust floated around Bumi. "You know this technique. I can make the dust very solid and hard to break, and it can crush your body."

Bumi sighed and lifted both of his hands. "I guess this is where we call it over. Crown Prince."

Bumi put his hands next to his feet, breaking the bind, and jumped. He went to Haru and extended his hand. "I guess I'm too old. I wish we fought in my young days."

"What did you call me?"

"Crown Prince…" Bumi said. "I have no kids. But If I gave you that title; you will be the one to have this city after me. You currently have the access to my army, and you can lead them."

Haru blinked twice. He wanted access to the army of the Omashu Kingdom. But he didn't want to become the ruler of it.

In either case, Haru got what he wanted.

[Boss Battle is over.]

[You levelled up to level 18]

"I have a question, Haru." Bumi took his hand back and he sat down.

"What?" Haru asked.

"Why did you hold back," Bumi asked.

"Excuse me?" Haru raised his eyebrows.

"You didn't use your style, only mine, and you neither used your whole strength when lifting the boulders," Bumi asked. "It made me feel like an old man." It seems that Bumi could tell that Haru didn't use his full power. The size of the earth he can use wasn't used at all.

"But you are an old man," Haru replied with a smile. Why would he go all out to kill Bumi? If he did, then forget about having access to lead Omashu's kingdom. He would become a criminal in the Earth Kingdom.

"Watch your tongue! Oh wait, I'm an old man." Bumi smiled and rubbed the back of his head.

"Sure, king." Haru stretched his arms up.

Officially, he became the next Earth King in Omashu city. Currently, he gained the title of prince. In the future, he will have the ability to lead their units.

Haru gave a hand to Bumi, helping him stand up. The two of them moved upstairs between the admiring eyes of the soldiers, who went down to free the trapped earthbenders and bury the dead ones.

-x-X-x-

Later that day, Haru and Bumi had a small celebration. Haru was declared in front of the whole city as the crown prince and the inheritor of Bumi. It was a logical result.

Haru was standing on the plaza next to Bumi, staring down at every citizen and soldier.

His eyes were half-closed, and he was thinking that he will lead this army to open the Earth Kingdom.

He will the make the Earth Nation great again. Fuck the avatar, he won't wait for him. Haru was gaining enough power on his own.

"Now, Haru, would like to give a word." Bumi turned to Haru. "Just don't act crazy… hehehehe…. We don't need two crazy kings… hehehe."

"Sure." Haru stepped forward. When he stared down, he noticed that everyone's eyes were on his. Surely, its uncomfortable feeling. He only got used to eye contact when fighting and killing, so it was quite hard to suppress his heart beat.

He took a deep breath. Now was the time for his first speech, which the history will mark in its pages.

"Dear citizens of the Omashu, and the soldiers, I'm here standing in front of you, to say." Haru clenched his fist and rose it. "I have a dream! That one day, every person in this nation will be in control of their destiny. A land of free. A nation of actions, not walls. Where the earth is back to where it belongs, to the hands of those who can bend it. The fire will go where it belongs, to the kitchen! Those Fire Nation oppressors, they will go where they belong, and they will make up for what they took." Haru said. "We will make the Earth Kingdom great again!"

Somehow, the citizens down seemed to be excited. The soldiers clenched their fists, and they seemed to be ready for some battle.

Haru surely made a good speech, for one good reason. He stole something from his previous life memories and changed it a bit to make it fit the context.

'Like Armstrong said when he asked how did he get votes "I don't write my speeches".'

"Well, well… I like those last words… make the Earth Kingdom great again… " Bumi laughed a bit, and he whispered. "I still don't remember when."

"It will happen before your death…." Haru promised.
