[Johan's POV]

"You sure you don't want to come inside?"

Johan shook his head at Raymond and stayed seated on the bamboo bench. "It's okay. You know I prefer lounging in front of your house at night."

Raymond's expression dimmed. "Only after we broke up."

Johan would have argued that it's calming to watch the rice field at night, but there's no use making excuses just so he wouldn't step inside Raymond's room.

"I'll get you a plate of food." Raymond sighed. "Wait here, okay?"

"Sure."

As Raymond went inside their house, Johan returned his gaze to the wide rice field across the road. He could hear the distinctive laughter of Christy at the back. A part of him wanted to drop by at their table and say hello, but he's unsure if it's a bright idea, knowing Adrian was there with them.
