[Johan's POV]

"That was fast," Russell commented as Johan hopped into his jeep's passenger seat. Then, he grumbled, "I was so sure you're gonna spend your sweet time in your ex's bed for the night."

Johan knew Russell was trying to annoy him, but he's not in the mood to pick a fight. "Let's just go. Can you drive around the village for a bit? I need to check something."

"Hah? But I'm almost out of gas."

"Please?"

Russell grunted, but drove out of the dark corner where he parked his jeep. Once they were back in the road, he asked, "Something bothering you? Did he not accept your peace offering?"

"No, it's not that." Johan scanned both sides of the road, hopeful to spot a blond hair around. "Adrian's not there."

"Oh, so it's Blondie. You hoping for a threesome with them?"

Johan glared. "Can we not talk about sex for once?"
