96 Escaping The Spider's Web

[Johan's POV]

Johan gripped the strap of his cross-body bag and stared at the entrance of Spider Lagoon Restaurant. Customers came in and out of the fast-casual establishment, their satisfied laughter filled the clammy Friday evening.

It took Johan days to gather his thoughts and weigh things. With Adrian's resolute decision to move in with him, he had to talk to the red-haired Chef and officially end things between them. Alden knew his address. He can't have him appearing on his doorstep unannounced like last time.

Johan had to make sure he can live with Adrian in peace, without the constant fear that Alden may come to disrupt their daily lives, claiming they haven't broken up yet for him to see another man.

Sucking in a deep breath, Johan stepped forward and strode to the double glass door. The security guard in white uniform and navy blue slacks opened it for him with a smile.

"Good evening, Sir."
