Rivulets of water dribbled down his face. Adrian stared at the bathroom mirror, and the gaze of his reflection repulsed him. He saw a despicable man driven by his lust, greed, and selfishness. It's no wonder Johan wouldn't commit to him. He was no better than Raymond. He had no reassurance to offer.

His mind wandered back to the narrative of Johan's past; how he entrusted his heart to someone, how unfaithfulness broke him, and how he remained shattered up to this day. It made him wonder how Rhia was doing after she found out the actual status between him and Johan.

She must have been hurt, too.
