Moon Capital (II)

Chapter 13: Moon Capital (II)

"There's nothing.", whispering, he didn't see the guardian holding him captive, but the path he followed to get to the capital.

Nova decided to ignore it's done for now, he didn't have much time anymore and he had to realize his plans tonight.

"First, sell these stones, then buy a skill book, and lastly, enter the recruitment of the Eclipse Organization", remembering his plans, Nova walked into Moon City and immediately attracted several stares.

It was already dark, but the city was still bustling with activity. In fact, with the darkness of the night, the lights and holograms of the city looked much more wonderful.

Thousands of people were walking around with their partners, children, friends, etc. They all looked at Nova, giving him a look of disgust and pity.

Nova was wearing only a pair of pants that seemed to have been burned to his knees, while he had no shoes or shirt, with his wounds, he looked as if he had just returned from the same war.

Several had an initial look of pity, as they thought he was an adventurer who had lost his party in a brutal battle, but after giving Nova a second look, they realized how fat he was.

They instantly associated him with a beggar or a person just kicked out of the house, in short, a loser.

At these stares, Nova felt extremely uncomfortable, he had been afraid of people since that incident, but now he was surrounded by thousands of them and was also the center of other people's stares.

Discomfort, embarrassment and, strangely enough, he also felt anger. All these feelings he tried to hide as much as possible.

'I must get over this, I must what,' he thought to himself, 'otherwise I won't be able to get ahead, you must stop being a useless idiot.'

Encouraged himself, with a determination of self-defiance, he walked through the streets of the city.

With every step he took, he felt he was attracting a thousand stares from others, and although he wanted to imagine it was all his imagination, like before, now all those stares were real and he would have to endure them.

'I swear that someday you will all get down on your knees before me,' gritting his teeth and fists, Nova swore an oath to himself to endure his anger and discomfort.

Several voices also followed after the glares, but he tried not to listen to them as much as possible, he could barely control himself with just the glares, now much less the mocking voices that followed.

The Nova from a few days ago would now be shaking with fear and would be running home again in the current situation. He knew it, he also knew he couldn't go on like this.

Strengthening his resolve, he managed to hang on.

'Finally,' Nova sighed as he saw a tent, right in front of him.

The store was... A steel square, with a single hole that looked like it was for customers to contact each other, right in the single hole of the steel square was a blue hologram.

Nova picked up her pace a little more until he was right where the hologram was.

On the hologram there were only two options: [Buy - Sell].

Looking at the hologram, Nova had no money, not even a measly coin, so he put [Sell].

Instantly, the hologram changed image, now placing a screen where it asked him what he wanted to sell.

There was a keyboard below to type on, Nova started typing there, placing [Flaming Bull Energy Stones Level 1].

Upon placing "Ok", the screen changed again, this time with minimal changes. There was still the text Nova had written, but below were some numbers, which read: [One unit of Flaming Bull energy stone is valued at 4 gold coins, and one of Flaming Bull Dominant is valued at 6 gold coins, how many would you like to sell].

Nova, reading this, smiled slightly, pulling out of his pocket the two energy stones he picked up, at the same time writing the amount of two energy stones with his other hand.

This time, the screen did not change, but disappeared, thus leaving the empty hole.

Nova, already seeing this many times, while playing and selling or buying a lot of items, already knew what to do.

With the pair of energy stones, as small as marbles, one a few centimeters bigger.

They had a deep red color, but also a soft orange hue.

The energy stones were so small that the two could be held together in Nova's palm, which with a simple motion threw the two orbs.

After waiting for a few minutes standing there, mechanical sounds came from the steel square, but he was not alarmed, he just continued to wait, until finally, another door opened, a small one where a fist could fit.

Out of this door came a tray with ten golden coins, they looked luxurious and fascinating.

 They were gold coins!

With trembling hands, Nova grabbed the ten gold coins, and instantly the tray returned inside the door, the door itself closing.

But Nova was now checking the gold coins, excited.

He had never been short of money, he couldn't be excited because now he would have money, the excitement came from the fact that... It was much more money than expected!

Getting into the Eclipse Organization would now be almost assured if he played his cards right and spent the money he just received well.

Excited, Nova's smile only grew happier and wider.

But the moment was interrupted by a hand touching Nova's shoulder.

Nova, feeling the contact, was quite startled, with astonishing speed he brushed the other's hand away and turned around, putting himself on guard.

The next moment, his embarrassment was infinite, insurmountable to say the least.

A row of people were looking at him with harassing and disapproving eyes, while the boy who had slapped his hand was now floating his palm.

At this point, Nova wanted to bury his head in the nearest hole.
