Thinking about all these things, Ava decided to join as a personal secretary in Richard's company. She needed the job to support her Aunt's medical expenses. She drifted to sleep. Even though she didn't wake up in the night like the day before, she didn't sleep properly.
The next morning, she awoke early in the morning. She completed her morning business and got dressed up in a very simple pattern. She wore a loose peach-coloured blouse with a black knee-length skirt and toes-covered high-heeled shoes. She left her hair loose.
When she walked to the kitchen, she noticed her Aunt preparing breakfast for her. " You should have to rest instead of working. I can prepare breakfast for both of us. And it's my responsibility to look after you " Ava said and asked to go out of the kitchen.
" You...silly girl. I have only you now. It will make me happy if I cook for you and support you. I want you to go with peace of mind on the first day of your work " she replied.
Ava felt so emotional by her word and hugged her. " Aunt Garry, your love never made me feel that I am an orphan. Because of your constant support, I studied well and started my career. If you were not in our life, I would have ended up in a miserable position. Maybe God compensates with you as he took my mother at the age of seven " saying she cried on her shoulder.
" But now I am scared what if God take you away from me" she sobbed.
" Stupid girl... stop crying. Everyone needs to say goodbye at one stage. But their memories will remain with the people who stayed back. Birth is sweet lies and death is the bitter truth. If we accept it, then only we can move on..." she tried to console her.
They stayed in each other embrace for some time. Then Aunt Garry stepped back and looked at her face. She found her face to become a mess with tears.
" Go and wash your face. You are looking like a cry baby. I want you to look beautiful on your first day of work in your new company, " She informed, wiping her tears. Ava nodded her head with a small smile. Ava went to her room to check herself.

" Ava ...breakfast is ready. Come fast " Aunt Garry called her after a few minutes. She came out of her room and hurriedly had her breakfast. Then she went again to her room to her handbag.
She wanted to present herself perfectly on the first day of her work. So she looked at her reflection in the mirror. At last, she applied red glossy lipstick to her lips before coming out of her room. She informed Aunt Garry and started Richard's company to join the job.
As soon as she stepped inside the company. She went to Mr Lewis's cabin to sign the contract. She greeted him and said that she was ready to join the job. Mr Lewis examined her face and asked, "why are you ready to join when it is not relevant to your job profile!"
She smiled weakly at him and said, " I have my responsibilities and a few other reasons "
He adjusted his spectacles at his nose and looked at her as if he was inspecting her expressions.
" Okay, Miss. Miller. Welcome to Richard's company. All the best," he shook his hand with her.
" Thank you, Mr Lewis. I will do my best at my job, " she replied with a small smile. She signed the contract and took her new appointment and a key to her flat which is near to the company.
" Let me escort you to the CEO's cabin as it's your first day," Mr Lewis said. She simply nodded her head. She was nervous as it was a different new job and also a different position in which she has no experience"
While walking towards the elevator, Mr Lewis explained her duties as his secretary. They took the elevator and reached the fifteen floor. As soon as the door opened, Mr Lewis and Ava stepped out. Just in time, Mr Lewis's mobile rang. It was from senior Richards. He doesn't want to talk in front of Ava. He excused himself from her as he needed to attend the call. He walked to the corner of the block, leaving her alone.
