Meeting colleagues

She didn't take the time to observe the interiors of the floors as she was in a hurry the previous day. She immediately noticed the corridor was spacious and had modern architecture.

Mr. Lewis stood at the corner of the corridor and attended the call.

" Good morning, John ( senior Richards)" Mr. Lewis greeted.

" Peter...I've heard that Cameron has recommended some girl to be his new personal assistant. Why wasn't I informed about it? Don't you know about my son? " he questioned him.

" You heard it right. But the person has great experience in her field. As far as I know, she's new to this city. Most importantly, I have complete confidence in her. She's not Cameron's type. I too supported Cameron's decision because she's in need of a job. If I don't select her as Cameron's assistant, then your son best not let her join our company.I don't want to lose a talented person for our company" he explained to John Richards.

" It has been many years since you've appreciated anyone's talent. I think she is truly very talented" John amused.

" Yeah... When I was taking her interview, I saw sincerity in her which reminded me of someone" he informed what he felt in his heart as both were close friends from many years.

" Okay then. I trust that you made the right decision in this matter," John said and continued their casually talks.

When Ava was exploring the place, she noticed two people walking towards her.

They stopped looking at her, " Are you here for Mr Richards? " the young lady questioned. Ava nodded her head with a smile in approval. Both looked at each other's faces with a bit of surprise.

" I think...she came here at the wrong time to meet Mr Richards, the young man standing beside her, doubted.

" No...no… I reached at the right time" she replied to them. They wondered as she was giving a reply to them in a polite manner. Usually, the girls who come to meet Cameron were rude and arrogant with the employees of the company.

"I am here to join as Mr Richard's secretary, " Ava explained as both were silent.

" What! " they both exclaimed. Looking at their expressions, she showed the appointment in her hand.

" I am Ava Miller…" she extended her hand with a genuine smile.

" I am Clara and he is Morgan, " the young lady introduced to Ava.

Meanwhile, Mr Lewis came towards them. Clara and Morgan noticed Mr Lewis and greeted him.

" Hope you enjoyed the vacation?" Mr Lewis asked them.

" We have a great time, " they replied with a bright smile.

" Good. But next time, I won't take a wife and a husband in my company, " Mr Lewis informed, looking at them.

" Why! " They asked in unison.

" Because… work will be piled up," Mr Lewis said playfully.

" Okay...we leave now. We are late to our work, " Morgan said.

" Clara is in the marketing department and you are in finance so why are you on this floor! "Mr Lewis doubted.

" We are here to thank Mr Richards as he gifted tickets for our honeymoon," Clara said.

" Oh…" Mr Lewis said. After that, they walked away from Mr Lewis and Ava.

" Let's go… Miss. Miller. I will show your cubicle and CEO's cabin " saying they walked along the spacious corridor. It was so silent. Mr Lewis stopped walking all of sudden and indicated with his finger. " Your cubicle. The next cabin belongs to Mr Richards " he said in a serious tone.

She stared at her cubicle which was only with glass walls, a laptop settled on an office desk, and two file cabinets on both sides of the office desk. A small wooden table on which a small pot was arranged.

" Miss. Miller …" Mr Lewis called her.

" Yes, sir…" immediately she responded.

" You have to know about your boss' schedules and his requirements, " he said in a serious tone. She just nodded her head.
