8 A Room To Breathe

Oh my god, I love this power so fucking much!

A single shot of PoD completely destroyed ten level 20 Orcs, and I giggle almost maniacally. You know, at first, I was a little... Regretful for making a hasty decision like this, but holy fuck it's so worth it. Not to mention, Sword Birth is incredibly useful for surprise attacks. They charge, thinking that PoD is all I have, but then they're... heh, bloody shocked when swords come out from the ground, skewering them like pigs they are.

The great thing about the Power of Destruction is that it's almost impossible to block, and it doesn't stop when it destroys one object or being. It keeps going on and on until all the Mana I supplied it with dissipates. So a single shot could end an entire army row if I aim it right.

I do believe it can be deflected with magic, but all the Wizard Orcs that tried to disintegrated, so no one in the dungeon is strong enough to really do so.

I laugh when an Orc Champion tries to attack me from behind but is riddled with wounds when multiple swords stab his body.

"You fucking morons don't stand a chance." I grin gleefully as blood splatters on my face. "Should've just let me kill you painlessly, but nope! You just had to try and fight back... even if it's futile."

The stabbed Orc squeals in pain and fear, barely alive as he bleeds profusely. I take out Frostbrand and end him with a single swing, freezing him from the neck down as his head rolls on the ground.

"Well, I do respect your bravery..." I chuckle. "I believe I should say foolishness, but they're basically the same. Nonetheless, I do respect it... As insignificant as it is.

"Now then..." I smirk darkly, seeing tens of Champions and hundreds of Soldiers and Wizards hesitate in attacking me. "Shall we continue? I do need to max out my Sword Proficiency after all~"

The squeals and screams of the Champions told me everything as they charged, even after knowing how useless it is.

I get in my sword stance as I grip Frostbrand tightly while the Power of Destruction's red and black energy crackles in my left hand.

I wonder how much EXP I'll get from killing all of them? White Mage is barely level 34 and Illusionist is at 27 after an entire day of dungeon crawling, so I do hope they level me up a few times.

Slicing off an Orc Champion in half told me that it would at least be fun.

Actually, wait a second. There's something I've been meaning to try out for some time now, even though I've never really needed to use it. I can level up my Sword Proficiency later.

The red and black sparks slowly disappear as an icy snow-white fog replaces them. I raise my hand then slam it on the ground, and almost instantaneously, a powerful blizzard pushes away the orcs as the ground turns to ice.

As the snowstorm fades away, I whistle in astonishment as all of the grass fields is turned to ice. I fly upwards slightly to see where it ends... and nothing. It just goes on and on, to the point where I can't see the end of it.

So this is Ice Age? The skill never mentioned how powerful it really is, only telling me about what it does instead.

I wonder how far it stretches? I need to know my abilities before knowing the enemy's after all.

As I begin to fly away, a lightning strike hits my back. Looking down, I scowl as the pig mages prepare another spell with their staves. I snap my finger and hundreds of ice spears are brought into existence behind me. Smiling darkly, I snap a finger once more, sending the spears flying at the mob enemies.

Hundreds of game messages appear shortly after as I watch the one-sided slaughter with a smug smirk. One day, I'll do this to the most powerful armies in the multiverse... And nothing will be able to stop me.

"Baby steps, Akane," I mutter lowly. "Baby steps."

I make a little over 500 hundred Ice Knights, letting them deal with the rest as I begin flying away full-speed.

Keeping my speed steady, I bring up the message from yesterday about the next world. If I had taken the gamble and refused Sirzechs' offer from the time he paid a visit, then I could've stayed neutral. My Hero Academia is nowhere near as dangerous as DXD, no matter how hard you try to argue. The most powerful beings there wouldn't stand a chance to even Satan-class.

Knowing me, I'm definitely powerful enough to face All Might or All For One.

And the latter has something that belongs to me. What would happen when I plunder his quirk? Will All For One act independently from Plunder, or will it add to it instead? Is it gonna be a Quirk-only skill?

Whatever would happen, I'll make sure I'll have fun.

Crossing my arm, I raise a brow as I see the edge of the spell. So it finally ends here, huh? It only took around thirty seconds, and my full speed according to The Game is Mach 13 with the Demon Monarch's Necklace... So the radius of the spell should be 133 kilometers or 82 miles.

Or it's a little more than that. Ice Age affects me too, so I should be a little faster than I actually am.

That's definitely powerful and will be incredibly useful in wars.

'Unnaturally attractive' you say? Hmm... This could prove a bit troublesome. Suddenly becoming much more beautiful than I initially will only add to the confusion... And the current time for the change is not appropriate at all. I could try to tie it to my magic getting more powerful, but I don't know if it'll work. I think it might be more believable if I do grow stronger... but I don't think I have enough time.

No doubt Sona will try to invite me to Rias' funeral once everything calms down a bit... Heh, attending the wedding of the one you killed? The disrespect is unreal.

Still, I need to find a way to level up both my magic and my acting skill...

Game, what will happen to this world when I leave it for the next?

Time will freeze until you go back

Perfect...

Well, I think a little vacation is in order. I did complete a very difficult quest after all, killing Rias and all that, so I deserve to kick back relax for a few weeks, right?

Let me just get myself a few tools from my workshop since I want to advance my technology while there... I have to wonder though, what should I do? Manipulating others is fun, but it can be exhausting, and I'm already planning to be a hero here... Maybe I should just be a hero there as well? No, too stressful. Being a hero is an actual job there, and being in the top will get me in politics. I already have one world's politics to worry about.

Villain sounds like stress relief, to be honest. Not having to worry about anything and just having fun... and since there are not many threats in MHA...

Alright, I guess a villain will do

Quest Added

[True Villainy]

Bonus Objective: Defeat both All Might and All For One

Bonus Rewards: 1 Gacha Token, 5000 Credits, [Authority of Evil] Perk, 500 to all stats, [One For All: Ten Generations] Skill

Oh? That's something I didn't expect. Well, I did expect a quest, but not this one in particular. I thought it would be something like, 'Rob every bank in the world' or whatever. I'll take it though.

Still, there's the fact that I need to work on my acting there... What to do...

Eh, I'll think about it once I'm there.

That reminds me; I have two Gacha Tokens from the last quest, don't I? I should use them while I'm here.

-Enkidu: Chains of Heaven

The chains that bound the Bull of Heaven itself, Enkidu is one of the most effective weapons against godly beings, as the more divine power one has, the stronger the chains become

The blade on the front of the chain deal 10K Damage that cannot be resisted

"Good Pull!" I couldn't help but speak out loud, excited as I think of many scenarios with it. It'll be very useful against the gods of DXD, especially the Hindu.

-Vial of Saiyan Blood

Extracted from one of the strongest races in the multiverse, this vial could be used to turn someone into a half-Saiyan.

Requirements: Level 2000, 1M HP and 2M SP.

0.5% chance of giving the [Legendary Saiyan] Perk

Note from A.D.M.I.N: This can only be used on non-gamers.

...What? What do you mean I can't use it on myself? What's the point of it then?!

Is this some sort of joke?! Who the hell is Admin and why does he get to decide such things? This... this could've been an easy way to be the strongest in DXD in a few weeks!

Do you think you can toy with me? ME?! You'll pay for that... I swear you'll regret it!

My blood was boiling as I grit my teeth, clenching my fists as Mana begins to fly off of me.

Damn it...

Damn it!

"DAMN IT ALL!" I scream to the heavens, the ground beneath me slowly disintegrating.

"FUCK! FUCK! FUUUUUUUCK!" I slam my fists, cracking and freezing the grass field as my magic leaks. "GODDAMN IT!

I immediately freeze and grasp my chest, slowly processing what happened as I calm myself... Even if it was barely working. I take deep breathes as I search my mind for anything that could calm me down.

Inhale.

Pros! There're definitely pros about this, and you're only thinking about the cons. Come on, this isn't you.

Exhale.

First off, I can give this to someone who follows me, which will give me one hell of a soldier. And my knowledge of the Dragon Ball franchise means easy power-ups through Zenkais... And those are known to be painful.

Inhale.

Besides, level 2000 and two million in SP? It's gonna take a long time to get there... And I prefer destroying my enemies from afar, and Saiyans are mostly melee fighters.

Exhaling, I smile slightly.

And... I wonder what would happen if Saiyan mixes transformations... with the Boosted Gear.

Issei is already less than ten points away from max affection... And once I'm done with him, he'll want nothing but to please me. An easily predictable pawn that will surpass both the powers of Ophis and Great Red combined...

And if I feel that he doesn't deserve his newfound powers... then I'll just stab him in the back with a dagger. Goku, in his Super Saiyan Blue form, was almost killed by a weak raygun... And I can do far more than that.

Yes... I'll simply power him up for my own good. Once he reaches his prime, I'll have completely maxed out plunder... And I doubt this Admin guy would prevent me from taking it all.

I stand up and take one last deep breath, still feeling the heat of my blood as it slowly cools down. See? Everything has a bright side, no need to get too overworked.

You're going on a vacation, Akane. That's not an attitude you should take.

Don't be childish and throw a tantrum. You're better than this.

"Alright..." I put on a smile and prepare to leave the place. "Never been too emotional before, but I guess I know how it feels now."

With a snap of a finger, the dungeon shatters and I'm back home.

I need something to eat...

I stayed in DXD for a few hours to see the aftermath of the disaster in the underworld... And nothing happened. Or no one contacted me.

Issei did, but he's not the who has the information. He checks up on me from time to time, asking how I feel or if he should stay with me or whatever. It would've been a cute gesture if he wasn't too annoying about it.

I bought a nice outfit not too long ago, which will be serving as my... "Villain Custom" while in the hero world.

I bought it in a set consisting of a two-piece frilled skirt and frilled, long sleeve blouse, connected by a corset that was to be worn on the outside.

The blouse itself had a high collar, kept closed with a small black ribbon which doubled as a way to keep a similarly frilled ascot still even during the high-paced events. It had stitching running over the breasts area near where the princess lines of a shirt may be. The sleeves opened up at the end lending themselves to a regal appearance, though they wouldn't be too practical in close quarters combat. They happened to be frilled as well, with a pattern of small, oval-shaped holes in the wide wrists of the garment.

The blouse zipped up in the back, no buttons to be seen, and the zipper was concealed at the mid-back by the tight black corset which served as a connecting piece between the skirt and blouse. Normally, the open shoulders of the top would lead to drafts and chilliness, only safeguarded against by the small, almost bolero-like jacket which came with the outfit, but I was obviously not one to be bothered by the cold.

I have to admit though, the jacket is very nice. It was the same shade of dark grey, almost black as the corset and skirt but had a nice bronze-gold trim and patterning at the edges. It worked well with the formal appearance of the outfit, anyways.

While the open, almost frumpy skirt wasn't much to behold on its own (really only working well as a part of the outfit itself), it had a nice, almost simple charm to it. It was better than a pencil dress, anyways.

Small belted dress shoes and long white socks helped to complete the regal look, and the plainness of the items were offset but nice metallic bands that set at her knee and topped the socks themselves. They served pretty minimal function but then again, so did the whole outfit. They looked nice and that was about all I really cared about.

I thought about getting a more intimidating one, but my powers and efficiency will do the intimidating part.

Now that I have everything I need is in my inventory... It's holiday time!

Transfering to [My Hero Academia] please wait...

Just then, everything turned blurry. The walls of my workshop were getting hazy, slithery, and... somewhat uncomfortable to look at. My eyes are not the problem, it's the world itself that's being weird. Is it gonna do this with every world travel?

Transfer complete.

Welcome to your 2nd world, Gamer.

I blink and see that I'm suddenly on the rooftop of a tall building looking down on the city. I look upwards and see the moon at its highest point, indicating what time it is. So it's midnight here, huh? Good enough I guess.

I bring out my wings, not fearing anyone seeing them and fall down, landing softly on the sidewalk. That only got me a few raised brows from the very few people who saw me, but they didn't pay me much attention as they went about their business.

This feels... surprisingly amazing. Not needing to hide my wings is incredibly liberating.

I like this world more already.

The first thing to do is to find a base to put my stuff in and to fall back when I need to, then I can get myself the essentials. The best place should be outside the city, maybe far away in the mountains. I can build whatever I want there without any interruptions.

Putting my hands in my pockets, I ponder my next course of action after finding a base. I did say I'd be a villain, but what kind of villain? Do I just go on a murder spree and get as many quirks as I could? I don't enjoy senseless slaughter, it feels... I don't know, distasteful? Yeah, let's go with that. Besides, most quirks are useless to me.

I mean really, a tail? That's your quirk?

How about stealing? Robbing banks? There are barely any heroes that could stop me anyway... And robbing an entire world...

I shiver in anticipation slightly. Trillions of dollars that I could do whatever I want with... Wait, what happens to currencies when I travel to other worlds?

They'll transform into the appropriate currency of the world.

And can I turn them to credits?

No, but you can turn credits to currencies.

Damn it. that would've been an easy way to power up. Buy spells or skills with the money I stole.

Oh well, I could simply go inside a dungeon whenever I feel my powers are getting inadequate.

(Five days later...) (All For One)

As he sat comfortably, he grinned widely as he watched the news.

"Another Bank was completely emptied by the new nefarious villain, The Marionettist, who grew to be one of the most dangerous villains in all of Japan in only a few days." The news reporter said. "Thankfully, no heroes were mortally wounded this time, but that vile evil-doer is still out there."

Marionettist, or puppeteer. A strange name considering her acts. Someone would think that a villain with that name would control things from the shadows instead of letting the entire world know about you.

What really caught his interest, however, was how she showed signs of having multiple quirks.

Her known quirk was that powerful red and black energy that erases anything it touches... But what about her super strength and speed? How did she manage to outrun the Number 3 Pro Hero, Hawks? Easily matching and overpowering Mirko, even with the latter's enhanced strength?

"Interesting..." His voice rumbled as he contacted his subordinate.

"Yes, Master?"

"Kurogiri," he spoke with authority. "Find a way to contact The Marionettist. I'd like to speak with her."

"...Understood."

As the call ended, All For One turned to his sense to the TV again, his grin widening. Could she have a quirk like his? Does it copy... or maybe steal?

Could she be the protege he always wanted? Even more so than Tomura?

The second coming of All For One...

He chortled, already thinking of many different scenarios regarding this new villain. She would do incredible things, he was sure of that. As strange as it sounds, he does not know why he has so much faith in someone he never met before.

Maybe it is simply that smile that never left their face, no matter how many heroes flocked her. It wasn't an arrogant smile like how most villains have, no. It was simply a confidant one. Or maybe how she reminded him of his young self long ago. The cruelty and nonchalance when fighting while maintaining a polite tone when speaking.

Or it was how the heroes fall like flies beneath her feet.

This is simply a sign, he thought, still chuckling.

A sign that the world of heroes is finally at an end.

"I wonder what your response will be..." His voice echoed through the dark room.

"Toshinori Yagi."

(All Might)

How? The Symbol of Peace asked himself, walking towards the principle's office with his fellow hero, Eraser Head. How does she keep avoiding me? That can't be a coincidence...

"We're here," Aizawa announced, his tired visage still plastered on his face.

All Might nodded and Eraser Head opened the door, revealing the principle of UA and the top four heroes in Japan. Endeavor glared at him coldly, ironically enough, and Hawks smiled slightly.

Nezu grinned. "Good, you're finally here. We can now begin the meeting."

"There's no need for a meeting." Endeavor scoffs. "A thief like 'The Marionettist' or whatever, is just that, a petty thief."

"You're underestimating her." Hawks argued with a frown. "Her quirk alone is enough to make her a dangerous villain, but with her super-human abilities? She's easily an S-Rank villain in power alone."

"Gentlemen, please." The principle stopped them as the No.1 hero and his friend took their seats. "We came here for something more important than discussing how powerful she is."

"And that is?" Best Jeanist questioned.

Nezu turned serious. "I have come to the conclusion that The Marionettist knows how we operate."

Endeavor glared. "Explain."

"In the past three days, she robbed six banks empty... And yet not you nor All Might were even near the place in any way. No, you two were the farthest heroes from her," Nezu glanced at both heroes. "Has anyone of you asked themselves this question? The moment All Might or Endeavor arrives, she's long gone with everything, whether it's valuable or not."

"I noticed the pattern as well," Toshinori added. "But... there was also something I noticed yesterday."

"Oh?" If Nezu had an eyebrow, he would've raised it in interest. "On your free day?"

"That's the thing." All Might continued. "I was very far away when the robbery happened. How did she know where I was?"

Nezu froze, knowing what that meant.

Whenever Toshinori was on his free day... He'd stay in his weakened form, not the hero one. How could she know where he was when he doesn't even look the same? Does she perhaps know about his identity? Then why doesn't she reveal it to the world? Any villain would kill for an opportunity.

Three days and they're already almost at her mercy.

"I.. see." Nezu brought up his teacup to his mouth.

Edgeshot turned to Hawks. "How's Mirko doing?"

The winged hero sighed. "She's fine, thankfully. Nothing serious, just a black eye."

"What's up with that anyway?" Best Jeanist interjected. "We know her quirk was that energy she shoots consistently, but how is she so powerful? She managed to stop Mt. Lady's punch with a single fist for goodness' sake!"

"Could it be that she's a child of a quirk marriage?" Edgeshot had a hand on his chin.

"A quirk that powers both speed and strength? It definitely exists, true, but at that level?" The No.3 hero asked.

"Quirk marriages enhance quirks, not just adds them together." Endeavor answers. "It's very rare, but it happens."

"If that's true, then it is possible that her energy quirk is more powerful than it actually is." All Might added. "Nezu? what do you think?"

"It's definitely a possibility." Nezu nodded. "In any case, we need to handle this with the utmost care. You saw how a small blast completely erased a hero's arm."

They all had grim expressions on their faces, even All Might was over his usual grin.

Nothing could get any worse than this...

(Akane)

Watching the heroes have their meeting through a screen, I lazily take a chip and eat it.

...You know, I did think that this world is much easier compared to DXD... but this is too easy for my liking. Seriously, all I needed to do was drop spiders near the heroes I want to monitor, and there, I got the movement of whoever was unlucky enough to cross me.

After finding a good hide place, being in an inconspicuous cave inside the mountains, I started building all the machinery I needed to begin my plans. I already have six monitors in here, each connected to five spiders. The number of things I built leveled up my Tech Mastery, and the new quest requires me to upgrade 15 6-star things.

I don't have any 6-star blueprint, so that's annoying.

I've been having a lot of fun playing around as 'The Marionettist', seeing the heroes try to put up a futile fight was hilarious... and empowering. DXD was a terrifying world, with gods and devils that could end you in an instant. But this? They couldn't land a hit much less put up a fight.

The entire time I was here, I didn't even enter a dungeon once. I could get as strong as I want later, but I need to make progress in worlds this time. I was a little paranoid in DXD, but here I could relax.

Hell, I didn't even kill anyone yet. I wanted to make the first quirk I take special... And I have an idea who's the poor sap that'll have a spear impaling his heart.

Also, I was wondering something two days ago, should I make a gang? It wouldn't really be necessary, but I've always liked making factions and armies in games, and this shouldn't be any different.

Decisions decisions...

...Canon is about to start soon, two days from now to be exact. But what should I do? Let it all play out like in canon? Letting Izuku take One For All? Or should I interfere and let him live his life miserably? Maybe let him take it, but then kill him and steal it?

Killing him or leaving him alone seems like a poor decision. He's a smart kid, able to write a book about heroes' quirks and their weaknesses... And he's only 15.

I could get him to my side easily since I just need to fuel his anger at the hero society when he's rejected by his idol...

Well, I do want an assistant in engineering, and he seems bright enough.

But then I'll have to deal with Mirio because he's taking One For All, and not Izuku. And his quirk is... It's gonna be annoying to deal with. I don't have anything that can deal with intangibility right now.

Oh yeah! There's Eri too. Her quirk is very useful, even compared to the DXD world. But then there's Chisaki to worry about...

There are a lot of things I need to do, huh...

I think I'll worry about it tomorrow, I'm kinda tired.

"Hey, bot." The Robot Maid stops what it's doing and looks at me. "Make my bed."

It obeys and does what its told, finishing in seconds.

I get off my chair and fall down on the mattress, yawning slightly.

Izuku and Eri, two potential recruits, and both are easy to control...

I slowly close my eyes, and It wasn't long before sleep took me.
