Chapter 050 Phoenix

'I wonder how much points I will earn tomorrow. I hope I can climb the top without much trouble.' (Satou)

As I thought about it I suddenly realized that I just raised a flag.

"Damn it. I accidentally raised a flag. Hope it's not a death flag." (Satou)

After cursing, I went inside the tent and slept. Morning came without accident which is weird since I have raised a flag.

"Maybe I'm just thinking to much?" (Satou)

As I said that, I put all the stuff I used in the Inventory and started climbing. An hour had past since I started to climb and I encountered another flock of Drill Birds. Since fight cannot avoided, I attacked first. Same as I did yesterday, I used my Zanpakuto and turned it into petals of Cherry Blossom and send them scattering to create an Area of Effect type of attack since they have quantity. After that all the Drill Birds in the area got cleared.

As I collected all the bodies of Drill Bird, a shadow of a beast came next. Looking at it I can see a four winged bird.

*Gegon*

The Gegon tried to grab me by using it's talons. I jump to the right to dodge its attack and counter with a kick. The Gegon saw my attack and flapped its four wings to propel itself away from me. After gaining distance, it flapped its wings to hard in order to blow me away from the beanstalk. I kneeled down and grab hold on a rope like vine to stabilized myself. The Gegon saw this as a chance and attacked once more with its beak. Too bad I already predicted its attack with Observation haki. I barely dodge the attack then used Soru to get near its neck and used Shigan creating a bullet like wound to its neck.

After my attack, the Gegon lost its power and fell down bathing with its own blood. I collected the spoil of war (dead body) and resume my climb. After a few minutes of climbing, another trouble came knocking. A group of Wicked Beanstalk apparently living in the area where I was climbing.

'Seriously!!? Damn it. I had enough of this. Trouble after trouble came to me. I just want to climb this "God Damn Beanstalk" to reach Vegetable Sky. Why did I have to raised such flag!?' (Satou)

As I thought of that, I already killed all the Wicked Beanstalk and collected there bodies. As I continue my climb another trouble pops out.This time a large quadrupedal beast with the body of a dragon but the head of a mammalian creature resembling a rat or weasel with no ears, six whiskers, a long neck, a black nose, red eyes with slit pupils and only two sharp yellow teeth at the top and bottom of its mouth. Its skin is mostly a shade of red in color but with a light green underbelly and wings. Its body is mostly rotund in shape, a hunched back, rear legs that bend backwards, feet with three toes and yellow claws each, a long mostly unseen tail, and two long arms with hand-like claws with five digits and yellow nails each. It has a pretty big wingspan, and both its wings appear big enough to carry it and are mostly light-green in color except the ridges of its wings which are the same shade of red as the rest of its body. Looking at this beast, its information pops out.

The Rat Dragon attacked me with its claws, I dodge by jumping back.

*BOOOOM*

A part of vine broke and fell down.

'Any normal hunter would die just being slapped. As expected from a dragon like beast.' (Satou)

The Rat Dragon continued its relentless assault towards me, using its claws, wings, tail and mouth. All of its attack are useless since it can't land a hit towards me. Getting tired from dodging, I countered its bite attack with 10 Hit Nail Punch.

The Rat Dragon flew away from the beanstalk and started to fall below. All I could do is look at the falling body of Rat Dragon since it body flew a bit far from the beanstalk. Although I can travel mid air with Geppo, I'm not confident that I can return back if I pursue the Rat Dragon.

'It can't be helped.' (Satou)

As I shrugged my shoulder, my vision became dark and I felt strong winds blowing everywhere.

"Oh my GOD!!!" (Satou)

I saw a gigantic dense of clouds. Then flashes of light can be seen and accompanied with a roaring sound like a beast roaring with rage. Looking at this I remembered that climbing on Vegetable Sky, a gourmet hunter must not think that only beast are the only enemies. You have to consider that even natural phenomenon can be an opponent. This clouds are called "Cumulonimbus Clouds" and also known as "Beast Clouds" because some of this clouds appears to be alive, resembling a predator ready to wreck havoc.

It rained down its lightning towards the beanstalk as if alive. I manage to dodge because of Observation haki.

Releasing rains of lightning, unfortunate ones got hit by lightnings. Suddenly a downburst happened and I was almost blown away from the beanstalk. Rain of lightning continues as a few minutes had already passed since it started. Suddenly I saw a giant bird silhouette. Focusing my eyes towards the silhouette I got its appearance. It's a giant bird with bright gold feathers all over its body, and wings shaped like lightning bolts that have crimson feathers on its upper wings. It has a long spiky purple tail and a black granivorous beak. It has four eyes and 3 spikes protruding on each side of its neck, and on top of its head, has two spiked crests.

*Lightning Phoenix*

I looked at the Lightning Phoenix, it suddenly opens its wide wings giving of a divine appearance in the midst of thunder storm. And with a flapped of its wings, it went further and disappeared in the clouds. With its disappearance, all the dark clouds cleared revealing the vegetable heaven "Vegetable Sky".

"Finally I have reach this place, all the trouble is worth when you can step in this haven." (Satou)

Appreciating the view I can feel tears is coming from my eyes as I remembered my troublesome journey.
