Chapter 049 Stairway to Heaven

I asked old man Roman to help me arrange a flight towards Wul continent, specifically on "Stairway to Heaven" which is above the Wul volcano. The reason that the clouds became solid is because of the volcanic ashes that is mixed within the cloud. Also this cloud is nutritious that all vegetable that grows in the Vegetable Sky have higher quality than those in the farm lands.

I also asked old man to prepare not only ingredients and seasoning but also a communication device which can be used even in remote areas.

A week had passes and I am now on a private plane arrange by old man Roman going to Wul continent. I can see a large plain with beautiful flowers growing, a large forest and lastly a huge volcano with smoke rising towards the sky. Looking above, I saw the giant beanstalk that is similar to the movie "Jack the Giant Slayer", though it is not connected to the ground but rather floating in the air.

"Kid, we're almost on the beanstalk. I have to warn you that I can't get you closer to the beanstalk due to many beast living there. Specially those flying beast." (Pilot)

"It's okay uncle. Just get me to the highest altitude that you can get, and I'll be sky diving to get there." (Satou)

"Okay kid, hold on tight." (Pilot)

As the pilot said that, he used the maximum speed of the aircraft to reach the highest altitude that he can get.

"Kid! These is the highest altitude that the aircraft can go. I'll open the hatch now and on my signal you go and jump out." (Pilot)

"Okay." (Satou)

A few seconds later the pilot signaled and I jump out from the aircraft. Using the suit that old man Roman prepared, I glide closer to the beanstalk. As I came near, I saw a flock of small, green eyed, purple birds with a orange colored, long sharp and slightly hooked beaks. I saw this text.

Though it's capture level is weaker than Devil Python or any other beast on the Coliseum on Biotope 01, this birds are troublesome due to the fact that they lived in flocks, hostile to any creature and most importantly this beast doesn't fear death and even attack stronger beast towards itself.

As I was nearing the beanstalk, the Drill Birds detected me and came attacking.

The flock of Drill Birds started their assault. Like rain of bullets they came charging like an arrow towards me who still on the air. I twist my body and dodge the first wave of incoming attacks.

The second wave came next after a few seconds of pause. I folded my arms and legs to fasten my descend towards the beanstalk. I barely dodge the second wave, and the third wave came instantly. Unable to dodge I used 20 Hit Nail Punch in the air and released shockwave to one after another to disrupt and deflect the incoming third wave of attack.

As I hit the air, the air produce 20 shockwaves making the waves of attack of Drill Bird stopped, deflected and redirect. The first wave that I manage to dodge came attacking again.

And another attacked arrived, since I can't dodge I decided to block it with Tekkai and Armament haki.

I was blown down towards the stalk of the giant bean. I landed in the stalk and creating a human figure crater. I immediately used Observation haki to know where the Drill Birds are. Not only I sensed them above my head readying for another attack, I also sensed another danger around me. Apparently I landed in an area where carnivorous plants lived. It appears like a green snake but connected to the giant beanstalk, and its data came.

As I sensed the danger from everywhere I decided to use Zanpakuto.

"Embodiment: Senbonzakura"

Releasing the Shikai of my Zanpakuto I held the katana from my waist. As I said that the katana which I drawn from the sheath became pink Cherry Blossom petals. I controlled the petals to scatter and attack any thing that has been detected by Observation haki as threat.

As my attack hit the targets, Drill Birds one by one fell on the beanstalk including the Wicked Beanstalk that had been cut down from the giant vine. All the threat has been eliminated and now I'm collecting all the spoils of war (dead bodies).

I collected about 102 Drill Birds and 46 Wicked Beanstalk. Which means that I gained 1,326,000 points from Drill Birds and 2,116,000 points in Wicked Beanstalk.

Not only I gained Exchange points but I finally manage to get level 80 gaining a skill point. I disable my Zanpakuto and decided to find a good spot for building a tent to rest. After a few minutes of climbing, I found a big hole in a vine which is good spot so I decided to erect a tent there. After erecting a tent, I withdraw some woods from the Inventory and started a fire. I started to roasting the newly caught Drill Birds (All unnecessary parts removed). As I was watching the roasted bird I felt several presence coming near.

'Maybe they are drawn by the smell of the roast or the brightness of the flame. Either way I have to prepare for combat.' (Satou)

As I was waiting on what type of beast will appear, I saw a group of Gorilla 13 meters tall. With dark blue fur and yellow skin, as well as sharp teeth and menacing red eyes.

As one of the Air Gorilla got near, I used Shigan and fired a compress air to its head.

A bullet like wound appeared on the center of it's skull, the Air Gorilla fell down and bloods started to flow out. Seeing there comrade's death, the Air Gorillas became enrage and started drumming there chest. After that, they all charge towards me. I draw my katana and said.

"Embodiment: Hyorinmaru"

I controlled the air froze all the attacking Air Gorilla leaving them like Ice Sculpture. I collect 13 Air Gorilla and put it in the Inventory and I gained only a few points.

I gained 52,000 from the 13 bodies of Air Gorilla. All in all I gained 3,494,000 points in just a day.

(AN: Although Air Gorilla's Capture Level is 40, its meat is tough with unpleasant smell that's why the acquired Exchange Points are lower than its capture level.)
