Chapter 022 Gourmet Corp.

Going with Mansam in an open area, he demonstrate first how Knocking is done by using Knocking gun. Due to the nerves of beast are small, Knocking gun contains small needle that fires it through the nerves resulting to paralysis. A large copper rhinoceros-like beast with a height of 3.5 meters, a length of 10 meters appeared. Looking at the head I saw this:

"Hoo. A perfect sample appeared for demonstrating knocking. However why would a Dom be here?" (Mansam)

"Huh! Why weird? Arent we on the wild of course a wild beast should appear?" (Satou)

"Thats not what I meant, Dom lived in White forest and territorial creatures who will pursue and ram any creature that enters their line of sight. The fact that is here means something is happening on White Forest." (Mansam)

As Mansam said this, the Dom charge straight to us. Mansam took a Knocking gun and walk towards the charging Dom. As the Dom neared, Mansam jump sideways and fired the Knocking gun through the neck of the Dom hitting its nerves paralyzing it. With that the charging Dom crashes and falls down. Mansam suddenly called an urgent meeting with me in tow.

"As you all know a Dom is spotted in the center of Black Carpet." (Mansam)

"Director, maybe this Dom got lost? Why suddenly called an urgent meeting?" (Executive A)

"How long have you been working in Biotope 1?" (Mansam)

"Five years director." (Executive A)

ĺFive years is long. So can you tell me this five years of working, have you encountered such problem?" (Mansam)

"None so far director. This is the first case." (Executive A)

"So, whats not weird encountering such problem? Something must have happened in White Forest. Assemble a team to investigate such cause." (Mansam)

"Yes director." (Executive A)

"Well, any questions? None then dismissed." (Mansam)

A few hours later the investigation team called Mansam and said that a lot of bodies are scattered in White Forest. These dead bodies are skin and bone due to loss of body fluids. They hypothesized that a sucking beast did all of it. Hearing this news Mansam called all security personnel capable of fighting, that includes me.

"An unknown beast has attacked White Forest leaving skinny bodies. Due to this unforeseen event, I would like you all to investigate every part of the island." (Mansam)

"How many teams should we form?" (Security A)

" 5 teams with 4 members. Each of this team take a designated place and investigate." (Mansam)

'Hmm.. Skinny bodies, loss of body fluids..Wait a minute.' (Satou)

As I thought that I remembered the guy with a creepy smile.

So thats how it is. No wonder hes too familiar. It seems that Gourmet Corp is starting to make its appearance.

"Director Mansam, it seems that I know what caused this event." (Satou)
