Their Future?

Hancock and Luffy continued their lunch date together with smiles on their faces. The two were enjoying each other's company and didn't even mind that they weren't having any meaningful conversation. No, to them any conversation they had held great meaning. Why? Because they were talking to each other. There was nothing more important than that.

"What the hell did you say to me?!"

Their peace was broken by a woman's loud shout. They turned their head and saw a pink-haired woman being held back while glaring at a group of men in suits.

"Hm?"

Luffy recognized one of the men.

"Bege?"

"You know those people, Luffy?"

Hancock asked while looking a bit annoyed.

"Yeah, that's the guy I—"

"That's the guy you teamed up with in Whole Cake Island!"

Hancock stood up from her seat glaring daggers at Bege from across the room.

"So you know him too, Hancock?"

"This is my first time seeing him in person....But I'm well aware of who he is."

(He's on my hitlist.)

She thought.

"That girl looks familiar..."

Luffy started frowning.

"Waitress!"

"Yes, Ma'am!"

The waitress quickly came over after Hancock's call.

"Who is that pink-haired woman?"

"You mean Jewellery Bonney? She's a part of the Worst Generation with Mr.Strawhat Luffy here."

The waitress spoke while nervously indicating to Luffy.

"Bonney? So she's the one who made Granny younger?"

(Whatever, I have no qualms with her.)

Hancock turned her attention to Bege. He and Bonney were glaring at each other. He took a puff of his cigar and spoke with his hoarse voice.

"I said you should learn to eat like a human and not a pig."

"Who are you calling a pig?!"

Bonney tried to break free from her crew by elbowing and even biting them.

"Look at you acting like a child despite your age."

Bege spoke with more contempt.

"I'm still young you bastard!"

Bonney escaped but Bege's crew stood up and pointed guns at her and her crew.

"Don't misunderstand, Jewellery Bonney. I'm not one to pick fights for no reason. I hated you for a while, two years in fact. The reason?"

He pulled out a gun and aimed it at Bonney.

"Your table manners."

Veins bulged in his neck and head.

"How hasn't it improved in two years?!"

He put his finger on the trigger. Bonney readied herself to fight back.

"Hey, Bege!"

A hand came out of nowhere and grabbed the gun.

"Huh?"

He turned his head and followed the arm that stretched from across the room. His eyes landed on Luffy.

"Strawhat?!"

Bege's face turned red in anger.

"I've been meaning to meet you again!"

"Strawhat?"

Bonney looked at Luffy.

"Psst, Captain. Let's go while we have a chance."

"Huh?! Why should—Mhm?!"

A hand covered her mouth and she was forcefully taken out of the tavern. Meanwhile, Bege was quickly approaching Luffy.

"Strawhat, how dare you take all the credit for my plan in Whole Cake Island?! I'm going to kill—!"

*BAM*

Bege's body flew through the wall and outside of the tavern.

"Boss?!"

His subordinates called out in horror. They turned back to look at who attacked Bege.

"Just who are you raising your voice at?"

Hancock slowly brought her leg down.

"You people of the Worst Generation don't know your place."

She wore a demonic expression.

"Luffy is a king and you're all peasants! Talk to him with respect, you trash!"

"Hancock, why did you attack him?"

Hancock spun around to face Luffy with a soft expression.

"He was shouting at you and threatening you...I didn't like it."

(I also didn't like how he got to partner up with Luffy! Not only that, he's ungrateful even though he was given such a heavenly opportunity!)

"Is he perhaps a friend?"

Hancock's face paled.

"Did I do something horrible?!"

"Nah, we're not friends. I don't like the guy but he did protect me and my friends against Big Mom, so I kinda owe him one."

"Then did I do something unnecessary?"

Hancock asked with a soft tone as if frightened of doing something wrong. Luffy saw this and smiled.

"Nah, you were only protecting me. You can never be wrong when doing that."

Hancock's face brightened up.

"Oh, Luffy~! You're so understanding!"

Hancock's eyes turned into hearts.

"Hey!"

Bege barged into the tavern with a furious expression. Holes opened up in his body and more of his men flew out of him and surrounded Luffy and Hancock.

"I hope you know attacking me is a declaration of war."

Bege's body was trembling in anger.

"Hmph. You have no right to declare war on me."

"You kicked me through the wall!"

"Who told you to be in the path of my foot?"

"Huh?!"

Bege's eyes were turning in his head.

"Bege."

He looked at Luffy after he called out to him.

"We fought Big Mom together, and for that I'm grateful. However...."

Luffy's eyes darkened.

"Touch Hancock and it won't end well for you."

"HUH?!"

Bege's head looked like it was about to explode.

"Why are you acting like I'm not the victim here?!"

"I did nothing wrong."

"I agree."

Bege snapped his fingers and his men aimed their weapons at Luffy and Hancock.

"I'm fed up of this. Let's just end this farce."

Luffy and Hancock readied themselves.

"Bege!"

Bege's body flinched when a new voice was heard. He turned around and saw a different pink-haired woman glaring at him with a baby in her arms. The baby had a beard for some reason.

"Pookie Bear?!"

Chiffon marched up to Bege.

"Didn't you promise me not to cause trouble?

"But Muffin, they—"

"But, nothing! Did you promise me or did you not?!"

".....I did."

Bege held his head low.

"Look what you did, Pez is starting to get upset because of all the ruckus!"

"Ah!"

Bege looked at his son who had tears in his eyes.

"Oh no, Pez! Don't cry, don't cry!"

He started dangling some keys in front of the baby. The baby looked at the keys and started giggling while stretching for the keys. Bege handed his son the keys with a smile. He looked at the frowning Chiffon.

"Pookie Bear, I'm sorry. It's just, you know how I get sometimes."

Chiffon started smiling.

"You know I can't stay mad at you."

They started rubbing their noses together.

"Guys, let's go."

Bege looked at Luffy and Hancock.

"We'll settle this another time."

He looked at his som.

"Who's daddy's boy? Who's daddy's boy?"

He started playing with his son's cheek. Chiffon looked at Luffy.

"Sorry about the trouble, Luffy. Say hi to Nami for me."

"I will."

Luffy waved as Bege and Chiffon left.

"Luffy, who is that woman?"

Hancock asked Luffy.

"Big Mom's daughter and Bege's wife."

"I see."

Hancock looked at how Bege was snuggling up to his wife and son.

"I feel a bit envious."

"Why?"

"I want a baby and a loving husband too...."

Hancock covered her mouth and looked at Luffy. He was looking at Bege and Chiffon leaving too.

"I'm sure you'll have them in the future."

"?!"

Hancock's face reddened.

"Hm? What's wrong?"

Luffy looked at her in confusion.

"N-Nothing."

She looked away.

"I see."

Luffy looked back at Bege again.

(Is he saying he'll give me that baby in the future? Luhan, Lulu, and Jr are going to be real?!)

Hancock held her face which was becoming hotter by the second.

"Rayleigh, you might see your grandkids earlier than you expect."

She mumbled. Luffy stood beside her still looking at Bege and Chiffon happily talking. The image of him and Hancock overlapped with theirs for a second before returning to Chiffon and Bege.

"......."

Luffy said nothing and just stared in silence.
