153 Chapter 153: Setting Sail! New World!

Adrian lent his name, White Ghost and Jolly Roger to Fishmen Island, hoping to protect its residents from the greed of pirates!

The next morning, King Neptune and Queen Otohime jointly announced this good news to the entire Fishmen Island during a press conference.

Although the Merfolk, who generally harbored hostility toward humans, were skeptical, the optimistic and peace-loving nature of the mermaids left them with fewer concerns.

Some of the beautiful mermaids were especially enthusiastic towards Adrian who had once rescued one of their kind before.

White Ghost's reputation had an almost immediate effect.

On the very day King Neptune and Queen Otohime made the announcement, not a single mermaid was abducted on Fishmen Island.

{… When you have to be happy that there aren't any crimes for 1 day. It's sad, isn't it?}

The pirates who arrived at Fishmen Island knew that the fearsome White Ghost, with a bounty exceeding 600 million Berries and having clashed with Marine Admirals, was currently on the island, safeguarding it. They immediately discarded any plans they had, then threw that thought to feed the sea king. Though, the sea king would not eat it, or would it?

In the following days, some reckless pirate crews attempted to kidnap mermaid members. After all, any random mermaid could fetch a price of at least 50 million Berries in the Sabaody Archipelago.

Yet before those reckless pirates could even take action, they were quickly detected by the mini-ghosts patrolling the bubble membrane around Fishmen Island.

Towards these pirates, who wanted to engage in slave trading, Adrian showed no mercy, instantly destroying them with Mini Ghosts – Withering Heart Attack.

The fallen pirates and their crew mates' motionless bodies showed just how fearsome the White Ghost was.

The atmosphere on Fishmen Island improved significantly. Even the Fishmen street saw an improvement in security.

Despite King Neptune's numerous attempts to persuade him to stay, Adrian left the island after almost a week.

At the harbor of Fishmen Island, the Abyss's main mast unfurled its sail without any wind. The dragon ghost emblem glimmered under the sunlight, or should I say sea light, thanks to the Sunlight Tree Eve.

The mermaids from the coffee shop, led by Miss Serena, gathered by the ship's side, reluctant to part:

"Strong and mighty! Adrian-sama!"

"Adrian-sama, I like you!"

Adrian, feeling worn out and hollow, paid no mind to the mermaids who appeared to be quite silly.

He felt his stamina was still lacking…

At that moment, King Neptune, Queen Otohime, and the three merman princes appeared on the dock. The gathered crowd of Fishmen Island residents automatically parted to make space for His Majesty.

King Neptune swam to the Abyss's deck and said sincerely, "Sir White Ghost, we are deeply grateful for your care of Fishmen Island during this time!"

King Neptune never expected the White Ghost's reputation to be so terrifying. Within days, the wild pirates were so scared that they didn't even dare to complain!

The security on Fishmen Island visibly improved.

How could the responsible and caring King Neptune not feel delighted?

Queen Otohime softly blessed, "May your journey in the New World be smooth!"

Adrian smiled and nodded.

Amid the mermaids' farewell blessings, the Abyss set sail, its windless sail billowing high. The dragon ghost and cutlass emblem sparkled under the sunlight.

Adrian stood on the bow of the ship, gazing at the deep, mysterious sea ahead. His eyes held a hint of anticipation.

"I wonder what surprises the veteran pirates of the New World have for me?" he mused.

The once silent and dark depths of the sea now welcomed a new visitor.

After sailing upward for some time, the Abyss encountered white underwater currents resembling dragons.

"Rumi, are we riding these white currents to the New World?" Love asked.

"Oh no, silly Love!" Rumi replied.

"Exactly, Love. Although these currents appear beautiful, they are incredibly dangerous. They're known as the 'White Dragons,'" Adrian explained. {Nami called it White Strom}

"These are one of the natural phenomena that pirates fear most when entering the New World. If caught in a White Dragon, you might get swept to the surface if lucky, or crushed to bits if unlucky," he continued.

The anxious little fox shook her tail and covered her ears. "That sounds terrifying!"

"What's there to be afraid of? We have the world's top helmsman!" Adrian turned to the helm. "Right, Rumi?"

"Absolutely! Watch me!" Rumi confidently steered the ship. Under her skilled control, the Abyss deftly avoided the white dragon currents, sailing smoothly toward the New World.

After ascending for a while, they glimpsed a faint light above.

The water grew brighter, indicating they were nearing the surface. With crashing waves and thunderous roars, the Abyss's upper half burst out of the water and crashed onto the rolling waves.

A soft sound followed as the bubble membrane covering the Abyss's surface burst open. When sailing on normal seas, the ship wouldn't be encased in a bubble membrane.

The resin secreted by the Yarukiman Mangrove would flow through Tom's carefully designed pipes, accumulating in a specialized resin storage room. When needed, it would create the protective bubble once again.

Adrian looked up at the clear sky, adorned with a few white clouds. The gentle sea breeze brushed his face—truly perfect weather.

"The climate in the New World isn't as dreadful as I imagined!" Love, who was born in the New World but never got to see these, excitedly explored the deck, seeking a familiar sensation on the boundless sea.

"Adrian-sama kept saying how terrible the New World's weather would be. I thought we'd encounter something awful the moment we arrived!" she exclaimed.

Just then, a crimson light flashed in Adrian's eyes.

"Rumi! Bring Love and the Abyss into the castle!" he commanded.

"It seems we've encountered an old friend!"
