Eudes remained silent for a time, eyeing Lucian as if considering the implications of his words. Before he could comment on his thoughts though, Lucian had opened his mouth once more. "I need to speak with the King."

"I figured as much." Eudes nodded. "You will need to wait though, Magnus has been busy since the battle.

"Fine. Tomorrow at nightfall, I'll make my way back to the palace."

Cocking a brow, Eudes nodded his assent and turned to walk away, disappearing in a blur as he did. To this day, Lucian still was not sure of the man's level of cultivation, but with the knowledge he gained in The Maelstrom, he could finally take a guess.

The twin paths of cultivation each consisted of nine steps. Here, the paths were called body refinement and qi cultivation, but in the greater cosmos, they went by more apt names.
