Ming sat atop of the peninsula which overlooked the western sea. The western sea was known to be extremely treacherous, waves that climbed as high as twenty metres, as well as a feeding ground for deep-water dwelling fish. Such a place was usually deserted due to its danger however Ming came here to cultivate. Cultivators who lived in the Sects had access to numerous resources and Chi formations but it took them longer to reach enlightenment for certain dispositions. Ming's master had told him to approach nature in its rawest state to experience and understand the Dao of creation.

Ming sat cross-legged at the peak with his eyes closed while cycling chi through his meridians. the wind from the ocean constantly smashed at his body; the ocean was extremely loud and unrelenting, and the sound of animals echoed the entire area. Such an environment was not suitable for deep concentration at all, but in all the chaos Ming had still broken through. Like Yin and Yang and the concepts of existance, tranquility can only exist because chaos had existed, as darkness exists as an idealogy that is a lack of light, cold is merely a lack of heat and so on and so forth.

A pillar of chi shot through the skies and pushed the clouds apart. Three cultivators in the distance sensed a surge of chi and approached Ming with haste. Due to Ming's unusual cultivation method that his master had given him, his foundation appeared weaker than his actual strength, this caused the three cultivators to incorrectly evaluate Ming's power. The cultivation world was ruthless, people sought for riches and power at nearly any cost, and the three cultivators had just found a potential treasure horde.

"Hey you there weakling, give us your storage ring and leave whatever you have and I'll let you live!" A burly looking man sneered. The man forcefully shot his own chi up and the air around him was pushed away, boasting his own strength.

Ming was indifferent and kept his eyes closed. He continued cultivating instead and ignored the three.

"This piece of shit is ignoring us, whatever just take him out. What a shameful way to die, without any resistance I wouldn't even call him a man". The three cultivators instantly wrapped their legs in Chi and accelerated at very high speeds towards Ming. It was only around two seconds for the cultivators to close the gap of 30metres to Ming. At that moment Ming opened his eyes and formed a spiked wall of Chi in front of him. The cultivators couldn't stop and were instantly impaled by the invisible spikes and two of them died instantly, the third managed to avoid his vitals due to sheer luck.

The burly man was shocked and retreated quickly back a few metres holding his wounded abdomen.

"Y-you, how? Chi materialization is impossible at your level!" he stammered. He looked at the ground and realized both of his companions were dead and instantly entered a state of rage.

"I WILL KILL YOU!" the man screamed. The man used his index finger and skillfully hit pressure points on his own body and forcefully activated his meridians. The man's chi surged into a giant 10m sphere and the ground was destroyed.

The man moved at an even faster speed than before and threw out a chi infused fist, it could break weak chi materializations. Ming didn't use spikes this time but instead put one of his feet forward and redirected the attack with ease and the force of the man threw himself into the ocean below.

The ferocious deep water animals smelled blood and quickly rose to the surface. Ming looked down at the scene and was reminded of piranhas, they ate away at his flesh with extreme speeds, his body sank into the ocean with his hands outstretched as if wanting to grab the air. The man died too quickly to even scream.

Ming had used a Chinese martial art called Wing Chun, it was invented by a famous martial artist from the mortal world and he had picked it up before he entered the world of cultivation. Who would have known that it would work against other cultivators? Early stage cultivators worked on their cultivation and neglected strengthening their body, it could be said that a foundation is only truly strong if it is both spiritual and physical.

Ming turned around and took the two corpse's storage rings and tossed them into his own.

Shame I didn't get the third guy's stuff. Ming regretted but quickly got over it. It's time to head back, he thought to himself.
