Chapter 3 : Sage Fruits

I felt a comfortable bed and comfortable blanket that was on me.

I opened my eyes and saw the ceiling.

"The ceiling seems different..."

I quickly rose up in shock because i remembered what had happened to marie and harold and tears were dropping out of my eyes.

"You're awake?"

A soft voice of a teenage girl

"Wh---who are you?!"

i stood up and distanced myself from the girl.

"Don't be afraid kiddo, im not going to hurt you"

What she said while chuckling

"Bu--but you have ho--horns and elf ears"

i said while still being scared

She chuckled and sat down on my bed then responded

"Ouch! That's really harsh kiddo. Haven't you seen a Geazmo before? It's just my hui ability so don't worry"

Geazmos are those humans like haru that has stronger hui than average. They can use their powers to hunt down mamons.

Apparently her hui seems to include evolution thats why her form changed.

The uneasiness i felt towards her slowly disappeared, she then asked me to sit down on the bed so she can treat my wounds

"Uh--uhm how come im in this house?"

i straightforwardly asked her

"Well you see, i found you lying on the road near the forest on my way to my house. I looked at you and you were breathing so i brought you here to treat your wounds"

She said calmly

Well she seemed a good person but i shouldn't tell her about what really happened to me just yet.

After treating my wounds she left to cook for our food. I stayed on the bed and tried to remember what has happened to me recently.

I remembered eating a strange sage fruit in black color.

Come to think of it, i fell from a tall cliff and knocked by a huge guy but my body seems completely fine. Her healing abilities must have been a top tier hui.

Moments later,

"Little boy come down here and let's eat!"

Shouted by the girl who treated me

I went downstairs then noticed that her house was so big! I had never been on a big home like this before.

I sat down near her and was pleased because the food was all sage fruits that she cooked and turned it into a meal. My eyes were glimmering of excitement.

"Dig in"

she said

Without hesitation i couldn't help myself but to make myself at home.

"Burppp"

"Haaaaaaaaa- thank you for the meal"

i said while smiling

Wait a minute how come she got so many sage fruits? It's twice as many to what harold brought yesterday. I've heard sage fruits is so expensive. They are worth 5 gold each.

100 Bronze is 1 Silver

1000 Silver is 1 Gold

She can see the curiosity on my face so she said

"We'll i know what you're thinking right now, you might know or might not know this but when a Geazmo like me finished hunting mamons, we can either either sell their sage fruits in the market or keep them"

Oh so that explains it!

I smiled at her and thinking that geazmo sure is lucky to eat these many delicious fruits every single day.

She's geazmo, she's strong, wait... She can help me become strong!!

For the first time, i had a plan in mind.

She can help me become stronger to find haru! With excitement i stood on my chair and looked directly into her eyes and shouted

"Master! Please help me become stronger!!!!"
