*Alexa's POV*

This time, when the birds woke me up, I went towards them smiling. They were now in my daily routine, and my free alarm.

After unconsciously staring for a bit I sighed and went into the shower to get ready for the scary day ahead of me.

Mixed emotions ran through me was I meant to be scared, or happy? I knew all this was happening for my own good, but at the same time I couldn't help but wonder if I could fix myself without anyone's help. After all, I knew me better than anyone else did.

Along with that thought, I was happy that no one would try to kidnapp to know more about the Italian mafia, I now felt free. Of course, that didn't mean I was just going to be going out more often, I was more comfortable with laying on my bed and reading as I changed realities.

Once I got dressed in something other than Elonzo's hoodie, it felt weird without one, I walked out the room with my black leggings - yes, I had a lot of those - and a grey t-shirt that read Girls Are Heroes in black. My stepbrothers would never have to worry about nagging about my clothing as it always met their expectations.

Will was there, seated, in a deep conversation with Blake. He was wearing a gray suit, which made me realize that the both of us were wearing similar colour clothing.

Blake wore his every-day clothes which included a t-shirt and sweat pants. But of course there were some days when he would wear red suits and rush somewhere with Elonzo.

I cleared my throat in order for hem to acknowledge my presence, I was not to eavesdrop and know more than necessary as it would cause more problems than intended to.

They should be more proud of me for being so mature all of a sudden and taking responsibilities for knowing what's right and wrong.

As Blake saw me, he playfully groaned and said,"No, not you!" Which caused me to stick my tounge out at him.

Well... So much for being mature.

"Good morning," Will greeted in his usual soothing voice as he placed left over lasagna in front of me. I was surprised there was still more remaining as I thought I had eaten most of it.

I greeted him back and gave Blake a look to say 'atleast someone's kind.' It ended up with me getting shoved and almost hitting my head on the floor, but caught by Will.

"I could've hit my head on the floor and gotten a concussion!" I scoffed.

Blake raised his eyebrows, knowing I was taking it a bit too far. I was half right as there was a small possibility of getting a concussion.

I happily ate my lasagna as Will scolded Blake, defending my point even if it a bit exaggerated.

Once Will ended with it, he patiently waited for me to finish. Blake had stood up to do his own thinhs, but not before making sure to ruffle my nearly tied hair.

"I'll be dropping you to the therapist's place," Will said as he left me out the door. It felt a bit weird to be going somewhere because I was used to staying in the house at this time.

"Nervous?" He asked, sitting himself into the car as I took my seat at the back.

"Yeah," I nodded, putting on my seatbelt. Safety first.

I stared at the window as well last rows of houses, admiring the beauty. Some houses had front gardens with neat chopped grass, and some has pavement with either a car or a bicycle parked there.

Not after a long drive, Will pulled up in front a two storey house which was surrounded by trees. Right next to the house was a car already parked under a small open shelter.

Neither of the two of us got out of the car. I had lost my ability to speak and I was a nervous wreck.

Will noticed that I was playing alot with my hands, so he reaches out and held them.

"It's alright, okay? It's going to be fine, there's nothing to worry about. He's just going to ask you a few questions, that's all. You don't have to be afraid."

I silently nodded as Will attempted to sooth my nerves. His grip tightened when I didn't give him a verbal reply, but decided to not push it from the look of my state.

After a few minutes of silence with Will rubbing my hands like they were cold, he looked at his watched and sighed. I understood that it was time to see the therapist.

The both of us got out of the car.

"Oh yeah..." Will spoke up," Elonzo told me to remind you that just because you know about mafia, doesn't mean you can tell anyone. Yeah?

Will, however, didn't wait for my reply. Instead, he rang the white doorbell that was right next to the wooden door.

A middle aged man wearing a doctors coat over his checkered shirt and black long pants. He had green eyes under his rectangle glasses. The man's hair was brown and he had a tiny growing of a beard.

"Hello," The man greeted Will and nodded my direction with a small welcoming smile which I attempted to return, failing miserably.

Will turned over to me,"Why don't you go in and sit on one of the sofas?" I stood there hesitating a bit.

"It's alright," he reassured, making me blush in embarrassment a bit at how childish I looked,"I'll be sitting in the car if you feel it's too much. I don't think I'm allowed to come in..."

Will looked at the man to double check if he was right.

The stranger nodded,"It would be better if you weren't present, it would help her a bit more."

I was not sure what it would have helped me with, but at those words, my heart sank a bit. Will wouldn't be there to calm me down. It would be weird to be sitting there with someone whom I didn't know.

Nevertheless, I walked into the room, looking around. The walls were plain cream and lamps placed around to lighten up the place. It was warm as the sun shined through the thin curtains.

There were two big sofas facing each other, both red, they looked comfy. On one of them was a clipboard, papers amd a pen. In the middle of the two sofas was a brown table, ontop of a soft rug.

My eyes landed on a certain blonde. He had curly hair and looked identical to to his father, just a younger version. The boy looked around my age. He was sat on a chair in the far corner of the room, a small table in front of him. On the table were many books. The blonde seemed to be writing in a book of his own.

I took a seat on the empty couch still staring at him. The was closed shut and the man from earlier took a seat in front of me with the clipboard laying on his laps.

Happy new Year!! I want to thank everyone who is reading/ever read this book, voted and put in it their reading lists. I hope this year goes well for all of us <3

I also apologise, I was working on a double update, but sadly I wasn't feeling too well and I had a headache (I'm still coughing) Luckily it's not corona cause I don't have dry cough :)

You know, it's weird, when I write about mafia brothers, the fact that people in the mafia literally do illegal things, and that they are criminals, just goes out of my mind- To me, it's like mafia stuff is a daily routine thing o.O

Have an awesome year everyone!
