1 Moon Goddess

In the land of Nevrisea, there were many Moon Goddess statues, for the people love their Goddess. The altars and offerings were plenty and always cleaned. People would gather at night, singing and dancing in thanks to their Moon Goddess. It had been this way for many years.

However, problems arise between men and the prayers had asked for a hero, a protector. The Moon Goddess heard her people's cry. She had been watching a man who goes to the forest to chop woods for his people. Handsome and kind, she descended with her white robes and glowing white hair. Eyes of purple and lips of red, the markings on her arm and face told the man who she was.

He immediately bowed to her, honored to have witness such beauty and grace, he kept his head down.

"My Goddess," he had spoken quietly in his deep voice, "What brings you down from the moon? Are things dire here?"

"Let me look at you more clearly," she said to him and he did as she asked.

She touched his face, felt the scruff of beard, and ran thumb under pretty brown eyes.

"I have chosen you to become the protector of this land. Come, show me your home."

He did, making him as hers.

So the world was better, much safer now that she had marked a man as protector. He was perfect. No matter where in the world was a situation, the marked one was there to settle the problem. There were times when the man would need to turn into the werewolf she gifted him. Powerful, strong, filled with loyalty and integrity. This man was perfect.

Knowing the land of Nevrisea was safe, she fell asleep to recover her powers.

20 years later, the Moon Goddess was woken up from cries, from anger, from nothing.

Unsure why that was, she looked over to the world below and could not believe what happened. She could not believe her perfect alpha's death came nor how much the world had changed. Bartering was no longer used. Instead, gold and jewelries were seen as higher in price. People were being used to work and others were drinking wine without a care.

She hated this.

She would make it right again.

The Moon Goddess thought one chosen was enough, but now she understood she needed to mark more. So, on the night of the crescent moon, she descended into the forest where the wolves lied in wait. Her white glowing hair flowed behind her in the night as she touched the dirt below.

She would need to disguise herself or else they would know who she was. So, deciding to cover half her face with a cloth, and she ran her fingers through her hair to change it to black. She looked at her marks and ran her hands over them to create the illusion that it was not there.

Running her fingers through the wolves' furs, the deer's face, petting the rabbits and owls, she was determined to win back her people's love and protect them as she promised.

Time to find her alphas! Hopefully the Moon Goddess would find them quickly before the full moon. She only had so long left.

"This time, I will not fail!"
