51 If She Shows Up Tonight

Once the blonde warrior got into their good graces, he was able to learn from them, gained information on why the Moon Goddess was so important to them, and their time with Moon. He provided them with what he could and the people of Springcall eyed him warily.

"What was Sir Bruin so nice to them?" The people would question and some even tried to prevent him to help, but he continued.

It was the least he could do, knowing it would make Moon feel better knowing the devotees of the Moon Goddess was happy. At least, he hoped so. Yet, here he was waiting to finalize a marriage to a woman who wanted nothing to do with him.

Taking a deep breath, he looked at his friends and leaned against his chair.

"If she shows up tonight, I will not accept this marriage."

"Are you serious, Bruin?" Cayden's blue eyes widened.

"I am," he thought of the lady in white's face, "I don't think I can let her go again."

It was quiet for a moment and Daniels felt strange about what was being said. Cayden had met someone he would give up his clinic for. Bruin would leave an arrange marriage to unite the cities of Rosemount and Springcall, possibly starting a war, for someone. He… Daniels, would also give up his position to his brother for someone.

'Are we talking about the same female?' He wondered.

The sound of a horse neighed not far from where they sat. All three men got up and looked out the opened window to see a brown horse moving about. A dark skinned man was holding the reins, and a green haired man with a hat was beside him. A black haired man with a braided bang was just staring with wide eyes filled with stars.

"She is so beautiful!" The raven haired male awed, "Look! Even she knows it!"

The horse made a sound like a laughter and stomped her foot.

"Sir, you are getting her too excited. Lula," the man with a scar on his arms stated sternly, "Stop showing off. You are causing a commotion."

The horse settled with a huff and the raven haired male laughed.

"You're Rei Solis of Dragonport," the green haired male bowed, "A pleasure. Clete Jackson."

"Ah, Sir Clete! Your home is beautiful. Must be exciting a wedding is taking place."

"Eh, more annoying than anything. I have to wear this suit and take off my hat later when it starts. I just want to fish," Clete pouted and Torrence shook his head.

"This is just one day. At least it was not a week long event," he patted Lula.

"Don't jinx it," the fisherman sighed and they looked over as a two males with grey eyes headed to them.

One writing on a notebook as he walked and the other with his arms over the other and waving at them. Clete stepped forward, waving lazily as they neared.

"The twins of Oxharbor, welcome to Rosemount."

"The prince of Rosemount, we thank you," Benjamin grinned and they shook one another's hand.

"Clete," Charles nodded and the fisherman nodded back. The older twin looked at the others and greeted them, "I'm Charles Anthony."

"And I'm Benjamin Anthony. Nice to meet you."

"Names Rei Solis from Dragonport," The freckled face man grinned.

"Nice to meet you two. My name's Torrence," the man with the horse bowed.

"The painter," Charles narrowed his eyes for a moment, "I heard of you, Sir Torrence. I have seen your work as well. They are captivating."

"That is high praise, Sir Charles. Thank you."

"I asked Sir Torrence if he could paint me the Moon Goddess," Rei bounced happily, "I can't wait. I love her so much."

"Benjamin," Charles leaned toward his brother and whispered, "You two would get along really well."

"Really?" Benjamin brightened.

"You both act like children."

"Hey!" The younger twin frowned and pushed his brother. They pushed one another for a moment, grinning and laughing, before they realized there were people around. Settling down, Rei smiled as he watched the twins play fighting. He had wanted a brother, even a sister if he could, but it was just him and his father.

After the Moon Goddess left, he had worked really hard to learn everything he could about being a leader. His father was proud that he was taking things seriously and even let Mr. Orange the cat join him in his room. He followed his father everywhere, learned what he did and how he spoke. He listened and followed what his teachers had taught him.

He read so may books, sometimes he had fallen asleep while reading.

When his father had addressed their people, he got to make a couple decisions. That was good for him. The more he made decisions, the faster he would reach what he promised his Goddess. Then, he would become her alpha and protect the land of Nevrisea like the book said. He couldn't wait for it to happen.

He dreamt of it and each time, he would wake up so happy, and Mr. Orange would stare at him.

"Hm? What are you thinking about with that grin," Benjamin laughed patting the man's shoulder, "Must be good," he whispered.

"It is," Rei chuckled and the younger twin winked at him knowingly.

Guests were starting to file in and they joined the crowd. Within the crowd was Jason Meeks, leader of Winterhallow, surrounded by his 21 mistresses and then there was Ryton Yu in the back.

"You should be happy, Ryton. A fancy wedding you would have not been able to see, if it weren't for me," Jason laughed and nodded to his fellow leaders, "Go sit somewhere."

Ryton did as he was asked with a flat face. He didn't say anything and went to sit close to a well dressed female. He did not have any fancy clothes like what he was wearing, but Jason Meeks took a fancy on him. Since Moon left without a goodbye, he felt… off.

The fields felt different and what he saw felt so… He had tried to paste a smile, lifted the mood of everyone like he had done before, but it didn't last. Every time he went home, he would stare at the mug Moon drank. Each time he went to his bedroom, he would see the image of a sleeping Moon. He didn't clean his sheets since the female left letting her smell lingered as much as it could.

He slept on the couch ever since.

He ran his fingers over his mother's pendant of the Moon Goddess. It was in his pocket right now, since his chain had been broken off. It was fine. He was still mad that Moon did that purposefully, but he also knew why she ran. Who would want to become one of Sir Meeks stupid mistress? She should have ran. He would had given her to his leader on a silver platter.

It was true.
