56. Dreadful

"Huh?" Both Amy and RuQian held confused expressions. Why and how would Mu Chen solve their problem?

"It seems my cousin was here for a site inspection and had seen everything that happened inside. He did not want to make a scene over there so he did not appear but he helped us out and talked to someone he knows for us to buy our dresses there. My aunt is going to send us the location in a minute."

Just then Lan Xie's phone dinged indicating an incoming message. "Hmm, let's go, I got the location."

"You sure? I mean if your cousin recommended the place, wouldn't it be too costly?" Amy was worried as RuQian had to pay for her as well.

"No worries Amy. I'm sure it will be fine." RuQian pulled on Amy's arm wanting to comfort her friend.

They got into the car and Lan Xie gave the address to the driver who entered it into the GPS and they left the mall.

Outside the mall, the shop assistant broke down crying and ran behind the car for a while wanting to apologize. She knew she had not angered another customer other than the three girls who just left.

She crumbled on the ground wailing, scolding herself for judging the girls based on their clothing, if only she hadn't done that she wouldn't have lost her job.

The grey eyed man emotionlessly glanced towards the crying woman and instructed his assistant to follow RuQian's car.

This woman had suffered very less. If he wanted he could've done much more but he did not want RuQian to find out anything, so he controlled himself from destroying this woman or the three pathetic girls inside who insulted her.

Knowing as little as he knew of RuQian, if she found out that any suspicious activity occurred, she would know someone had helped her, so he wanted to be careful. He did not want her to know about him.

He would let RuQian handle the three of them seeing as she wanted to play with them for a while.

"Which store are we going to Qiao Xie?" Amy was curious what store the most richest man in the country had suggested.

"I don't really know. It's just an address so we will have to see."

About half an hour later the car stopped in front of the best boutique store in the city, where even to enter one would need an appointment.

RuQian glanced up at the store and shut her eyes praying the store owner would not be present when they entered.

The neon Z&K banner glared back at them. RuQian wanted to run back home not wanting to deal with this right now but she most probably would not have a choice, when she saw Lan Xie's elated expression.

"Wow. My cousin brother is indeed nice, I have always wanted to shop here but my mom never let me. Amy, tell me how am I a small girl who can't shop here?" Lan Xie pouted. "I really wanted to buy clothes from here. I finally get the chance now. Come on." Lan Xie pushed both RuQian and Amy towards the store.

They entered through the glass doors and were assaulted by the cold due to the high air conditioning. Two women dressed in store attire with red blouses and an off white with red designed skirts welcomed them from behind the desk.

"Welcome to Z&K store. Do you have an appointment?" One of ladies asked.

She had on a professional smile and it did not look like she judged them in any manner.

RuQian hurried to ask, "Is the store owner here?"

The receptionists' smile faltered slightly but still she answered, "Not at the moment miss. You can wait if you want, she will be here in a while."

"Oh, so the store owner is a woman?" Lan Xie asked curiously.

The owner was a mysterious person whom not many people knew. Mostly people who shopped here very often were the only ones who knew the owner.

It was very difficult to even get an appointment from this shop six months prior. It was always booked.

For someone to meet the store owner was a huge feat on its own.

There were some people who did not need any appointments but that was only if they knew the owner personally.

They would be given something, maybe a card, which showed they could shop in the store whenever they wanted but outsiders did not know what it was.

Even the clothes or accessories in this particular store did not have a price tag on them, each item was too valuable in this store and it also showed how any customer who visited here were people who did not need to see the price and could afford anything.

It was rumored that the owner was the designer themself and outsiders did not know who the person was.

RuQian laughed, "No need. We will just look around and find what we need."

"Umm. But you will need an appointment miss." The receptionist still smiled, looked like she was used to people coming in without an appointment whom she had dealt with.

"Name please?" The receptionist waited.

"Lan Xie." Lan Xie tried with her name.

The receptionist checked the computer and shook her head after a while, "No miss, you don't have an appointment."

RuQian let out a breath she did not know she was holding, "Oh no, looks like we don't have an appointment. Let's leave."

She urged her friends to leave but Lan Xie stood rooted to her spot.

"Qian Qian, we can't leave just yet. Let me ask my aunt once. My cousin would not have told us to come here if he did not make any arrangements before hand."

Just then the phone in the reception rang and the woman answered it politely and when she heard the voice on the other side, she became even more polite with her words.

"Yes ma'am"

"Yes"

....

"They are here."

...

"I understand."

....

"I will take good care of them."

...

The receptionist turned to them after hanging up the phone and smiled at them gesturing towards the entrance. "Please follow me."

"Huh? Don't we need an appointment?" Amy innocently asked.

"The store owner just called to say you can shop for however long you require, the store is closed for you."

She glanced at the other woman at the reception and lifted her chin toward the door. The other woman, understanding, went and closed the shop and also informed the security not to allow anyone else in.

Amy whispered to RuQian and Lan Xie, "Wow, we get such great treatment as the great Mu Chen made the appointment for us, right?"

Lan Xie nodded happily. RuQian had a dreadful feeling, 'I hope the store owner does not come back!'
