Face Slapped

Yesterday night, he was not in his clear mind and had mistaken Mi Rong as his wife. He wasn't a person to run away from his problems, but this was the first. This time, he was completely baffled. By moving Qing Qing out, he thought it would stop him from seeing her again.

Never in a million years did he think that his daughter, Qing Qing, would cry non-stop and even to the extent of hurting herself to go back to Mi Rong. He truly unestimated the weight of Mi Rong on Qing Qing's heart. Was it good for Qing Qing or not, he too did not know.

This time he could follow along with the circumstances. However, maybe, he could have to have a word with Mi Rong and she would voluntarily move out.

It had taken an hour to prepare for the transition. However, it was like a nightmare for Xue Li as she'd have to meet Mi Rong again. She thought of what she had spoken to Mi Rong and clenched her hands. If it weren't for this little cry baby then none of this would have happened! Nevertheless, on the surface, she was smiling just like nothing had happened.

On contrary to how the two adults felt, Qing Qing was brilliantly smiling on her bed as she waited to be moved back. Although there were some traces of tears along her small face, her smile was able to lighten up the mood once again. She patiently watched the doctors prepare her to move out. Qing Qing had become a totally different person, it was as if the girl crying a minute ago wasn't her.

However, it was really a pain for the medical team, but who were they to challenge the influence of the Feng family. They could only complain inside their hearts as they had to move the young miss twice within a day. They could only hope that this would be their last.

Inside Mi Rong's room

She had just finished recuperating and was about to read one of her spell books when a familiar noise rang in her mind.

"Hao Hao, Mi Rong!" It was Xiao Bai.

Mi Rong was taken aback, "Xiao Bai? Where are you?" Although she heard Xiao Bai's voice, there was no one else in the room.

Then, the window flung opened; however, there were no shadows of Xiao Bai. Instead, a bag was floating inside her room. Mi Rong decided to speak a spell to reveal the spirits. Despite trying, she was not able to see a single soul. Usually, it would work, but how come nothing happened?

Xiao Bai teasingly spoke, "Mi Rong ah! You've really gotten bad with your memories."

"Ah?" It took some time for Mi Rong to realize what was happening.

Not long, she was able to recall something. Xiao Bai must have eaten the invisible pill that she had made from an ancient herb called Wu Xing. It was a project that they had just finished last week before the crash. Fortunately, Xiao Bai had the herbs in possession before coming here. The plant itself was invisible, but only the powerful spiritual beasts like Xiao Bai could see it.

"Well, my bad. But it took you some time to fetch my things." Mi Rong turned the topic towards Xiao Bai.

"Hmm? I had to go through all your clothes and then look for your tablet and then come all the way from the whole city to get to you here. Do you really think it would be that easy?" Xiao Bai complained.

Mi Rong raised her eyebrows, "I thought you're fast? No?"

Hearing Mi Rong looking down at him damaged his pride, "Hey, I need to get some rest as well!" He couldn't lie, after meeting up with Mi Rong the other day had worn him off. Once he returned home, he collapsed.

"Ke ke, I'm just teasing you, well, are you going to pass them to me or not?" Mi Rong reached out her hand in the air.

Xiao Bai couldn't stand it and growled, "Mi Rrrrrong!" His body had also become visible with his anger.

"Hush, don't wake the patients next doors." With that Xiao Bai lowered his voice, but only a soft growling sound could still be heard and his infuriated blue eyes. While he was still calming himself down, Mi Rong leaned over and snatched her bag from Xiao Bai's mouth. He became a little more annoyed at Mi Rong and turned his back from Mi Rong to calm himself. However, only then did he notice that Qing Qing was not in her bed.

He turned around with his fluffy white tail following him, "Uh, hang on, where's Xiao Qing? Don't tell me the doctors ate her!?"

"Don't be silly, why would they?" Mi Rong looked at Xiao Bai amusingly. Sometimes this old folk could make silly comments.

"Then where is she?" He had just recently seen a movie where an ugly looking human eating another human. He began to get worried as the setting of the movie was also in a hospital.

"Oh about that..." Just as Mi Rong was about to tell Xiao Bai that Jun Kai had moved Xiao Qing to another room, the door opened. Xiao Bai quickly turned himself invisible once again.

The first person who came in sight was Qing Qing sitting on her wheelchair while smiling brightly at Mi Rong. She cheerily called out to Mi Rong, "Rong jie~~~ I missed you!" Her arms were reaching out towards Mi Rong's direction.

However, the person pushing her had a gloomy face. Jun Kai's lips were in a straight thin line and his eyes were focused in an opposite direction from Mi Rong. Although Jun Kai wasn't looking at her, she could still feel how intense his eyes were. She subconsciously began to explore his handsome face from his eyes to his tall high nose to his natural pink lips. She stopped at his lips for a while lost in her thoughts when an "Ahem" from Xiao Bai woke her from her thoughts. Oops.

"Where are you drifting to, hm? Look at Xiao Qing's face, she's starting to become nervous since you haven't replied to her yet." Xiao Bai reminded Mi Rong out of love for Xiao Qing.

"Ah? Oh, and by the way, you asked what had happened; this is what had happened." While they were both speaking together, a new medical team came in to set up Qing Qing's bed for her. Then a figure whom Mi Rong had recently just met also came inside the room. Slowly and silently, Xue Li walked inside the room. Mi Rong slightly narrowed her eyes towards Xue Li's direction and then a light smirk appeared on her gorgeous face. Well, well, who's here again?

"Hmm, I can fairly guess what happened." Nobody had heard what Xiao Bai and Mi Rong were talking about and the atmosphere in the room was terribly silent. Except for the noise coming from the installment of Qing Qing's bed, everyone else was silent.

Qing Qing who had been smiling brightly was now sulking and looking at her hands, thinking to herself that Rong jie must have been angry at her. She kept on thinking and thought that Rong jie might want her to move out again and she would have to be alone. Tears began to appear along her eyes.

Mi Rong who had now moved her gaze from Xue Li to look at Xiao Qing was a slightly puzzled as to why Qing Qing was on the verge of crying. She decided to get up from her bed and walked towards Qing Qing. As she stood to her full height, her presence was felt by everyone. When she was sitting, she looked calm and nobody bothered with her as they wanted to quickly set up the bed and get out of the room. However, once she stood up, she was even taller than Xue Li who was 1.65 meters tall and was on her heels. As she walked she gave out a noble and elegant air along with her every step. Some had stopped setting up the bed and stared at Mi Rong.

"Tsk tsk, you're such a showoff." Xiao Bai who was seeing his master putting up airs made him admit that Mi Rong was truly good at infuriating people. He could see through Mi Rong's intentions towards the young lady behind Xiao Qing's father and felt that Mi Rong was being very cheeky. She knew that that young lady couldn't match with her due to Mi Rong's years of being taught in the royal family, especially having a strict mother. Mi Rong could perfectly display a dignified air around her whenever needed and it seems this was the moment she chose.

Hearing Xiao Bai sarcasm, she let out a slight smile and kept walking forward. Jun Kai who had been looking another way the whole time had also turned to look at Mi Rong. He felt that she was indeed acting differently from her usual tranquil air. When she drew closer, his heart skipped a beat. However, before she could reach him, she squatted down in front of Qing Qing. He then frowned slightly and looked away once again.

Mi Rong caringly lifted Qing Qing's chin up to face her. When Qing Qing looked up and saw that Rong jie was smiling brightly at her, she finally felt assured and let out a big sigh and smiled back.

Mi Rong warmly comforted, "Look at you, acting like a baby."

"Jie!" Qing Qing's voice was slightly shy and angry with her jie's comment.

"Ke ke, it's good to have you back." Then Mi Rong leaned over to hug Qing Qing.

Hearing the pair teasing with each, Jun Kai could not help to watch how intimate the two were. Soon he was in a deep thought.

On the side, Xue Li who was watching and had been observing Jun Kai the entire time was now clenching her hands as she saw his attention on Mi Rong.

Xiao Bai happened to see Xue Li's reactions and blurted between him and Mi Rong, "Oh Oh, someone's mad at you Mi Rong."

Mi Rong's eyes looked up towards Xue Li who was crossing her arms in frustration, "Hmm."

Gently, Mi Rong released Qing Qing and let the team move Qing Qing to her bed. She then turned her gaze to Xue Li, ignoring Jun Kai who stood between them. At first, she was going to let go of the immature manner of this young lady, but this girl was still acting all mighty. She now did not feel like letting go of this young lady who had provoked her. So, Mi Rong opened her mouth slowly, "Oh it's you again. Hmm? You're already leaving?" She lied. Xue Li, in fact, was only standing in her position. The other people in the room did not have their attention to Xue Li and were puzzled by what the young girl had for the famous young miss Li.

Xue Li become dumbfounded with Mi Rong's comment. She also didn't expect Mi Rong would dare talk to her. Before she could react, the next few words that came from Mi Rong's mouth made her furious.

"Well, I hope you go well then. If heaven grants you another chance, we might be able to meet each other. Farewell." It was her very words that she had told Mi Rong this morning! This woman dared to look down on her. However, Xue Li could feel everyone's gaze looking towards her, even Jun Kai had now turned his gaze at her. She would've felt happy that Jun Kai was now paying attention to her, but she knew that with what Mi Rong had said, everyone had expected her to actually leave.

This woman! She dared to chase her out. Sadly, she couldn't do anything else but to leave like what Mi Rong said. Very well. This, she would remember. Hmph!

Although Xue Li wanted to vent out her anger, there were many eye witness and she couldn't do anything. She could only gently say, "Yeah. Jun Kai, thank you for today." and "Bye bye, Qing Qing. I'll come to visit you later."

Mi Rong coldly watched as Xue Li who was now lovingly saying goodbye to everyone. She smirked. Then, when Xue Li was about to walk past Mi Rong, she stopped and friendly said, "Hope to see you later." However, only her lips were smiling, but it didn't reach her eyes. After finishing saying her farewells, she brushed herself off. Her long curly hair blew ever so slightly when she turned around.

But before she could walk past Mi Rong, "Achoo! Did someone not wash their hair in hair?" Mi Rong's eyes were as innocent as a deer.

Everyone in the room fell silent as they could clearly understand what Mi Rong was indicating to.

With the silence coming from everyone, Mi Rong raised her eyebrows. "No?"

Maybe except the pretending Qing Qing, who also understood Mi Rong and wanted to help her jie out. She then proceeded to adorably asked, "Jie, what do you mean?"

"Oh, then I must have been mistaken, I think dust is flying around this room. Doctor, please ask for someone to clean this room once again."

"O..okay." The doctor who was responsible for the instalment team replied unenthusiastically.

Xue Li deeply hated Mi Rong. She's too much. Just a minute ago, she purposely flicked her hair towards Mi Rong's face, but who would have thought that she would sneeze right at her hair. Everyone in the room must have seen it as well. This was too much! She couldn't stand staying inside to be humiliated any longer and hurriedly walked outside the room, forgetting her initial intentions to gracefully walk out.

Jun Kai had kept quiet the whole time. He had been observing Mi Rong from time to time and could see through her motives. It seems she could also be this sneaky.
