All about cats. Very biased. Dogs are used in unfavorable situations like bad owners or no one wants them jokes. Translation team is not working together maybe. They keep changing character names. The mc knows nothing and never try to understand anything about the situation or the game or anything important. He survive via plot armor alone. The characters are illogical, shallow, narrow minded, full of jealousy, manipulative, insecure, hypocritical, self righteous, gossipers, the list goes on. Their beliefs are generally stupid and they act like SJWs. They are the type of people anyone with a working brain would stay away. Very inaccurate representation of higher class people.

I came here for a relax novel but turns out the author doesn't know how to continues the story and brings up competition and pet king war wtf??? The phone told him at the beginning that is just a game and will not force him to do anything dangerous, but 100 chapters later and the phone puts him right into the fire, wtf??? And this Novel would have been better if it was placed in any other country because as far as I know the Chinese people are using the dogs to eat... and is disturbing when you think about it. I believe after the introduction of the pet king war, this novel would just turn like any other novels. My first bad review. Dissapointed.
One of the best novels that I read, a well-thought of and unique plot. I find it so interesting; makes me laugh, cry, and ponder of about certain ideas the author wish to convey. Somehow it is an educational book about taking care of pets, the pros and cons of wanting to choose what type of an animal we humans want to 'adopt'. It is full of emotion and highly recomended to be read, a totally different type of novel....keep up the good work author....
I'm writing this review primarily to speak about the editing/translating problem in this novel. I'm currently at chapter 138 or so, and STILL the same error is constantly occurring. The cats genders and names are constantly being swapped every few chapters. For, let's say, 4 or 5 chapters, all of the cats are female, then suddenly a couple chapters come where the cats are just described as "it" or sometimes rarely for a specific cat, "he" when it's always been described as "she" in every other chapter. During these chapters, that same specific cat's name suddenly changes from whatever it's Chinese name is to "Galaxy". It's either two things. There are multiple people in this "Studio" that's doing the translating and editing who simply don't communicate with one another, or this "Studio" is outsourcing the work for some of these chapters and keeping quiet about it. Either way, it's simply bad translating and editing. If it's the first problem, how hard is it to say "Hey, the cats are Female, use "She" when describing them" or same for if they are male. The same solution could work even if it's the second problem. Tell the same thing to whoever's doing the work you're taking the credit for. There are countless of comments in each of these chapters asking them to fix this problem, but so far (chapter 138), they seem to either ignore them or most likely not even read the comments. If you're wondering why I'm focusing on this so much, it's because it absolutely shatters the immersion of the story for me every time the "switch" happens, yanking me out of reading mode and leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Doing something that causes this to the reader is perhaps the worst thing a translator/editor can do. If you're actually bothering to read this, please fix these glaringly obvious errors in the novel, and I'll gladly change my review score.
I thought this will be one of the trash novel in NU, but when i see NU's curent rating, and read the newest review, I knew that this novel is a hidden gem The reason why I love this CN ? 1. The protagonist, Zhang Zian. Zz is a child of a couple who own a pet shop. He inherited his parents pet shop without much confidence. But his fate changed when he accidentally installed a limited download time app. The title pet king refer to the title of the most strongest player of this app. Yes. He is not the only unique one. There are other people who download this app. Other competitors's pet is still unkown and unclear, and there are no showdowns between our MC and them, but I am actually looking forward of this event. Well,,, MC is currently only have 6 pet, and I don't think the MC reputation and power is not enough to showdowns with the other senior player, so it is understandable that we have to wait for a couple of chapter to see the showdowns. I love the limitless possibility of this MC's characters growth. 2. His 1st elvens. Galaxy. She is a pure and adorable cat. Because of her origin, she suffered a lot. She is a PTSD and Zian help her to go through it. 3. His 2nd elvens. Fina. She is an ancient cat. She is the queen of all the cat in the world. She bow to no one. She is arrogant and prideful. She is tsundere đ. When the author tell us about her background story, I cried. "Till love do us apart". That's a really tearful word. 4. His 3rd elven. Old tea is a cat. She is an old cat that knows kung fu, and has respectable and steady personality. She love to drink tea. She is Zian's Master in Kung Fu. She is so cool 5. His 4th elven. Richard. He is a gayy bird đ. He is determined to look for Zian's boyfriend. His first meeting with Zian is really funny. He love to joke around, and actually quite compatible with our MC. They are like bestfriend in crime. I love Richard's mischievousness đ 6. His 5th elves. Snowy Lionet. A leesbian Cat that head over hills with Fina. She hates men. Her motto in life is the same with Richard đ 7. His 6th elves. Famous. He is a reincarnated dog. At first, his power is confusing me, but finally, after a lot of chapter, we get his background story. A really pitiful dog. I think his power is the most unlimited among Zian's current pet. 8. The story is heartwarming, tear jerking, funny and has unlimited future development. There are a lot of thing that readers doesn't know about. The character design isn't 2D, and the world background is steady. Let's vote for our dearest translator, for his/her hardwork to bring us this CN in QI P.S : I never regret reading this non stop. I love this. And will waiting patiently for the next update chp
Dont be fooled by the synopsys!! Really bro, when I decided to read this novel I just like "Ugh, what? novel about a pet? is it even good?". But, poof. Everything is proofed when you read it. One of the best thing in this novel is the MC. Seriously dude, MC is so hilarious, a fu*king shamless dude in the modern story without xuanhuan kind of cultivation and harem full of woman. There is more than just the MC but I will let you all experience it yourself. Definitely must read novel!!
A good gem MC parents apen a pet store but then died from car accident, MC then take over the shop, confusing and have no idea how to operate the shop he search some app in playstore about pet and found a limited time app "Pet Hunter" then everything changes A bit similar to pokemon Go LoL where he go around the city to search and catch magical creatures with his phone A really good gems, trust me whoever love cats or dogs need to read this novel or if you are not pet lovers this novel still good to read
This is a novel that's not really focused entirely on the pet hunter game, if you like a story that has realistic characters and hidden knowledge then this novel is worth reading. If you get tired of a slow-paced story or are not fond of waiting forever for certain events to happen this probably also isnt the novel for you. The main character isnt all black and white, he knows that people have their own opinions and he doesn't push them to accept his own. The elfins also have their own personalities and you can tell that most of them view the MC as a comrade. If you're bothered by LGBT there are many times where a certain avian or feline may make a joke or talk about it. For those who view chinese as dog eaters, you should know that not everyone in china eats them and many of them dislike that concept, it explains this in the story. This novel really was a eye opener for me, not only did I learn more about pets, I also learnt a little more about China and realised how different reality is from my imagination.
