"Magical Shifts Movement Technique"

This skills contained three different type of shifts. Phantom Shift, Lightning Shift and Magical Shift.

Phantom Shift was a set of footstep that could create tangible phantoms. Unless you were highly powerful or have very keen sense, it was almost impossible to tell which among the phantoms was real or fake. It was a fighting type movement technique.

Lighting Shift was heavily based on speed, it was best for covering long distances and fleeing away.

Finally, The Magical Shift was the mixture of both the Phantom and Lightning Shifts but this was much harder to master and consumed a lot Qi. It also took heavy toll on user's body.

I practiced it whole night and was finally able to create one phantom.

Next was the Rampage ability.

First of all I noticed that whenever I used Rampage, Heaven Perishing Sword would transform back into a black sword. It would come alive and possess incredible sharpness. But the veins were still completely dry with no signs of that golden hue.

Second the abilities of Rampage in-fact did have a minor side effect too.

Violence.

I would actually get a bit violent when I enter this state. There were two normal and a forbidden stage.

In First Stage, the flow of Qi inside my body would reverse, creating a violent surge in power. It may seem simple but if anyone else tried to do this, they would probably blast from inside. The flow of Qi through meridians is same in everyone's body, it was a law and the basis of cultivation. Reversing the flow of Qi would mean going against the one who created cultivation itself. It was frightful thinking which even Gods wouldn't dare dream of. But it was true that I did it.

The Second Stage starts burning the essence blood in the body. This would create even violent raise in strength, but it would be short lived compared to First Stage which in theory could be kept running indefinitely but I know I would run out of stamina sometime.

This stage also wasn't that threatening, even though essence blood was one of cultivator's strongest force inside their body, it could definitely regenerate, albeit not in a short span.

The Forbidden Stage was something entirely different. It would have the combined effect of both stages but this is extremely short lived. All of your Qi and essence blood would burn in an instant, generating strength far above your reach. But the price was heavy, without essence blood and Qi, you were completely vulnerable. In extreme cases, it would actually start burning your life energy, cutting down your life span. I had already experienced it and frankly, I didn't want to another time.

Fortunately, system bought that Elixir of Life Mountain and saved me within time, otherwise I would be dead without bedding even one Goddess.

I raised my head, first of sun light entering my eyes. Today was the day when examination for the selection of Outer disciple of Mortal Section will commence.

Packing my stuff from house, I was ready to leave. Giving it a last look, I departed.

I wasn't going there just to be accepted, I was aiming for the number one!

When I reached the arena, I examined the massive crowd of 100,000 people present there. Most of the cultivators were in 9th or 10th Level of Body Refinement Realm but definitely there quite few in Qi Assimilation Realm too. It wasn't a surprise since many people have a very powerful background; pills and treasures to raise one's strength weren't uncommon.

This arena was just one of 1,000 arenas. That means the total applicant whose cultivation exceeds 5th Level of Body Refinement were almost a billion people. A number that would be shocking to me previously but these three months have changed me quite a lot.

Glancing around for a bit, I wasn't able to find anyone familiar in the thick crowd. Giving up, I just sat back and waited till the examination began.

Fortunately, it didn't take long. Around fifteen minutes later, the skies above the arena cracked open. A thunderous sound resounded in everyone's ears. Ten odd figures exited out of there. In the middle was the same old man from the first test. I had asked from Xiurong and found out this old man was already a Immortal Saint, just a step away from achieving Godhood.

The old man roamed his eyes on the crowd, it flickered briefly when he saw me before continuing.

"I am Xu Li, the overseer of this arena. Without further delay, I will start with the rules.

This examination is divided into two rounds. In the first round, all you 100,000 contestants will be teleported into a region filled with Mortal Beasts under Qi Master realm. By killing those beasts, you will acquire points. This will keep going on for a week. At the end of the week, 1,000 contestants with most points will be eligible to enter the second round.

Killing each other directly is forbidden, your movements will be displayed in the big screen here. If you feel mortal danger, then simply use the teleportation crystal we will provide you to teleport yourself here in the arena. But know this, using teleportation crystal means direct disqualification."

A series of murmurs began flowing like waves in crowd, from front of end. Killing directly is forbidden? It simply means that means you can kill them indirectly.

"The 1,000 people will then be teleported back here to rest for twelve hours. After that you will begin with second round. People from all 1,000 arenas will join the second round altogether, a total of 10,000,000 contestants.

In the second round, you will be teleported into a different venue filled with opportunities to strengthen yourself. There are many points of interests that will randomly appear and they will contain resources that aren't available anywhere else. But they aren't there for free, you have the fight your way through.

Other than that, the main objective of this round is again, to collect points. But not by killing beasts, you will be fighting among yourself. Inflicting the last hit to kill will provide you with points. People who attained high score in the first round will have higher point value associated with them. The more point you have, the more your chances to become outer disciple are.

The moment only 10,000 contestants are remaining, the round will be over and they will become outer disciples and officially enter Heavenly Academy.

But the ranking will decide how you will be treated, how much resources you will be provided with and how you will be trained inside the academy. So don't just wait and hide to become one of those 10,000 people, try to achieve a better rank.

On more thing to keep in mind is that no one will monitor you in this round. It means you can do whatever you want but use of treasured weapons is strictly forbidden and will result in direct disqualification. Like the first round, you will be given a teleportation crystal if you find yourself in mortal danger and want to surrender. But then again, you will be disqualified.

The air around the arena stilled. Many's faces with etched with fear. I was actually laughing internally since I had this strange premonition. Getting inside the academy from the start was too easy, but now they are finally showing their true intension. It wouldn't be called Heavenly Academy, the best in Gods Realm if it accepted every pleb on the road.

A mass killing between 10,000,000 people with no rules whatsoever. It was going to be a savage land.
