28 Recovery

"How are they Luna?" Moona asked, now clothed, as they were in the basement.

While the Barn did have its own basement area for treatment, it wasn't meant for humans like Cain and Vala. Moona felt a bit like a giant in here but she carefully sat on the ground and stayed in place, fearful of getting in the way.

"They are alright, they just need rest," the wolf girl sighed in relief as mother and son were now clothed on patient beds with IVs in their arms, "I'm sorry Moona for my outburst earlier, I just didn't want to lose him. It wasn't your fault."

Moona shook her and head looked down.

"No it is my fault. He started growing abnormally large during our 'breeding session' but I didn't stop or say anything. Even when he began to look like a Minotaur, I just let it happen."

Luna raised an eyebrow, "Minotaur? Like the legendary beast?"

Moona realized what she said and blushed slightly from her breeding with the Cain-o-taur.

"Y-Yes. The Holstaur ancestor that would r*pe and kill anything that moved. It felt amazing to be bred by one. Ah! Sorry..." Moona's mood brightened as she thought of Minotaur's but looked down in embarrassment as Luna gave her a weird look.

"It's fine. Can you tell me what he looked like? What he felt like?" Luna hid her blush by going to grab a pad of paper to write with.

Moona ended up telling Luna about all the things they did during the breeding session, making the two women squirm in place. Just imagining such a large dick entering them made them both crave it, even if Luna would probably break from it.

Luna got valuable information that she could use to compare to his previous incident while she said goodbye to Moona, assuring her that it was alright and that they would speak again soon.

The wolf girl continued to watch the conditions of the two after saying the clinic was closed until further notice due to health concerns with the Child of All. While there were many women who were angry about it, Luna just snarled at them and left.

Complain all they want, but they wouldn't be able to milk him of any baby batter until he woke up. The night passed and Vala woke up sometime early in the morning to see her son next to her breathing rhythmically.

She sighed in relief as she was able to activate his blood it seemed. She blushed a bit still remembering the taboo thing that happened before looking at the wolf girl who was asleep against his bed while holding his hand.

She smiled brightly, knowing that her son had someone so amazing like Luna to care for him. Most of the other women he would meet would surely just take his cum and dip but she wouldn't. She would stay.

Vala slowly got up, still a bit lightheaded, and went over to the loyal wolf girl after taking the IV out of her.

"Luna. It's morning... I think." She gently shook her shoulders and the wolf girl stirred.

"Mmm." She groaned but eventually woke up and checked up on Cain's condition after realizing she fell asleep.

"He's fine. Just sleeping," Vala stopped the wolf girl whose ears were down in worry, "Thank you for saving him. I'm so glad he has someone like you by his side. I don't think I would have been able to think clearly to save him, if there's anything you need from me, I will gladly do it as a thanks."

Vala smiled and sat with Luna over by a couch in another room while the wolf girl couldn't help but twitch her ears in Cain's direction. After thinking of her words a bit, Luna narrowed her eyes and spoke seriously.

"Please tell him about the Alderman secrets and don't hide anything. Maybe I forgot because it was shocking for me to hear, but I have a feeling you purposefully made it confusing so I couldn't be sure.

"After what you did yesterday however, I'm beginning to realize just how crazy your kin were."

Vala looked away for a moment as she tried to decide whether she should. Even though she essentially r*ped her son to save his life, she still hesitated to talk about their family history.

*sigh* "I will tell him everything," Vala shakily replied, "I will if you can also tell me why my son almost died like that and I wasn't notified of something so important."

Vala also narrowed her eyes at Luna and it was the wolf girl's turn to avoid her gaze. Eventually, Luna told Vala about Cain's genes' strange effects and that he had a reaction after taking a Holstaur injection that could temporarily give him a body like a Bullman.

Vala was shocked that not only could her son do something like that, but she was also surprised at the idiocy of these two geniuses. She directly slapped Luna and went on a lecture about being safe and not to try and play with the human genome.

Humans may be adaptable creatures, Cain even more so, but they were still human, not beastman. It was an obvious fact that the two of them seemed to forget sometimes as they were too busy discovering his body's secrets and finding ways to improve the functionality of this clinic. If you stretched something too far, eventually it would snap...

After Vala calmed down, the two continued to talk about more things, related to Cain and his health mostly about how they could keep him safe while still allowing him to continue with his mission to impregnate the world.

Unfortunately, Luna wasn't a biologist or a doctor, Cain was. He was the only one who could really find a new solution for this issue and they could only wait for him to wake up.

After the girl talk, Vala left to apologize to the Beastwomen who weren't able to go to their scheduled interview, explaining that her son, and the Child of All, was 'seriously injured' last night, not going into details.

The Dryad she spoke to was very understanding, even when she was still in the porch area with Penny perched on top of her. She was able to get a gist of his issue after letting the grass and trees whisper to her what was going on by the Barn.

Nature was just an extension of her, no matter where she was, so she wasn't worried about him after sensing his lifeforce was still fine. She also went to comfort the Holstaur woman would was bawling her eyes out and beating herself up over what happened.

Vala assured her that it wasn't her fault, giving her a briefing on what had happened to him. Moona still blamed herself after witnessing his transformation and relayed her woes to his mother. While Vala was shocked and interested that he could become a Minotaur like that, she smiled and talked with the Cowoman for a while to calm her down.

It wasn't until the next morning that Cain began to stir. Luna had stayed by his side the entire time, not getting any proper rest despite Vala trying to get her to. The Mother only sighed as Luna was dead set on being with him 24/7.

"Cain! How are you feeling?" Luna whimpered and her ears went down.

Cain heard her voice and turned to her. As he opened his eyes and smiled, Luna looked at him in shock and a pale face.

"I think I'm okay, but it feels like I've been through a meat grinder." He chuckled to himself weakly as his one greyish swirling eye matched hers while the other blood-red eye stayed locked onto her.

She shivered a bit as she looked at his new gaze that made her feel small. Cain could see her emotions and narrowed his eyes.

"You alright? I'm not a ghost Luna." He tried to lighten the mood but his lover just grabbed a mirror and showed him.

Cain widened his eyes as he touched around his eye carefully.

"Interesting." He said to himself in excitement.

"Not interesting! You almost died!" Luna growled at him.

"But I didn't," He smirked, "You saved me right?"

Luna narrowed her eyes in confusion and worry.

"Do you not remember what happened two days ago?"

"Wow I was asleep for a while," He commented, not really taking this matter very seriously and making Luna angrier, "I only remember bits and pieces but I know you were there and my mother was too."

"D-Do you remember what she did to you?" Luna blushed slightly but her slightly darker skin tone prevented him from noticing.

"Hmmm, I think it was a blood transfusion? I remember someone said something about a transfusion. Is that not it?" Cain looked at her as her words made him think there was more.

Luna sighed and thought for a moment about how to phrase her next words.

"Your mother... did 'something' to you. Something... taboo... but I think it would be better for her to tell you rather than for me. It's a serious family matter it seems."

Cain raised his eyebrow but nodded. Luna looked worried yet serious so he didn't push her for information. He felt like his mother was hiding stuff from him anyways so it was better to ask her and get all his questions answered.

"Oh how's Moon-AHH!!" He screamed as he clawed his own face and drew blood.

Luna paled as she quickly got gauze and stitching materials as Cain looked down at his hand in interest despite the blood pouring down his face.

His hand was no longer a hand, and more of a claw. Similar to Luna's in a way but more beast-like in its appearance since it was more muscular and sharper than her own fingernail claws.

"Oooo this is pretty cool." He smiled as Luna snarled at him.

"That is not cool at all! You almost scratched your eye out!" She held the gauze to his face to try and stop the bleeding while kicking him to come out of his wonder.

Eventually Cain did, helping to stop his own bleeding while she used a heal spell on him before he did his own stitching in the mirror.
