1 Awakening the Power!

California - Starside City

A handsome looking boy with dark hair and blue eyes could be seen walking by the side of the street carrying a large bag on his shoulder.

The boy then took out his phone and looked at it's screen as he muttered with an expressionless face: "There's still time before I have to meet with my Uncle.... Maybe I should go see the sites for awhile."

After saying that the boy placed the phone back into his pocket and started walking towards the nearest store he saw.

The boy's name is Tyler Enlux a fifteen year old boy who had recently gone through a pretty emotional experience.

Simply put his elder brother got crippled due to an accident and was now lying in a hospital bed. This eventually resulted in his parents getting a divorce due to blaming each other for not monitoring their son properly.

In truth Tyler pretty much blamed himself for what happened to his family. Just before his brother got into an accident, he had been drinking with some of his friends and among them was his brother's girlfriend.

After drinking for several hours, something bizarre started to occur. Tyler felt as if he had completely lost control of his body, as if he had been possessed. By that point all of Tyler's friends had already left and so only he and his brother's girlfriend remained.

At that moment Tyler was surprised when he suddenly saw his hand grab his brother's girlfriend's arm. But after that Tyler began to panic for his hand suddenly pulled his brother's girlfriend into his embrace. After that Tyler pretty much blacked out.

When he woke up it was already midnight. He and his brother's girlfriend were both naked on the floor. Beside them was a carpet with a fairly noticeable bloodstain on it. By that point Tyler pretty much understood what had just happened. He had taken his brother's girlfriend's purity! At that very moment saying that he felt guilty was an understatement.

But before Tyler could even recover from his shock, his brother had suddenly walked in on them and saw their current situation.

Devastated by what he saw Tyler's brother immediately rushed out of the house and quickly boarded their parents car. He then drove as fast as he could away from their house with tears in his eyes. Due to him being in an extremely emotional state, Tyler's brother had accidentally driven off the road and crashed into a nearby abandoned house.

Thus resulting in his brother becoming crippled and his parents getting a divorce. In short Tyler truly believed that it was his fault.

Tyler had completely no clue of what came over him during that night. In fact the only thing he could remember before he suddenly lost control of his body was his brother's girlfriend muttering the words "Marin Karin..." that was all.

Nevertheless he had sinned. He felt extremely guilty for what had happened to his family. After all it was because of what he had done during that night which broke apart his family. Although his father had agreed to take custody of him, Tyler knew that due to his father's work he would rarely be able to spend some time with him. As such Tyler decided to instead move to Starside City and live with his uncle.

Knowing that he would not be able to make time for his son due to his work, Tyler's father eventually agreed to Tyler's request to live with his uncle for awhile. Tyler's father also believed that Tyler needed some time to forget about what had just happened to their family. As such he decided that staying with his former brother in law for awhile might indeed be what's best for his son right now.

In truth Tyler was actually afraid that he might once again do something to hurt his family, which is why he believed that being away from them for now might do some good for both himself and his family. What's more there was also the fact that he was still not ready to face either his brother nor his brother's ex girlfriend yet.

Today was the day when he would finally meet up with his uncle. But because he had arrived early, Tyler decided to explore the nearby places for awhile.

Coming out of the store with a half eaten Popsicle in his hand, Tyler viewed his surroundings with a deadpan expression and muttered: "Wonder if there's a place I can hang out for a bit?"

It was at this moment that a very beautiful young teenage girl suddenly appeared in front of him and said with a beautiful smile: "Hey handsome wanna spend some time with me for awhile?"

The girl had a lovely face, clear white skin and a melodious voice. However her hairstyle was a bit weird. Simply put it looked like the hairstyle of a cosplayer. Her hair was styled into twin-tails while as the right side of her hair was white colored and the left side of her hair was black colored.

Hearing the girl's words, Tyler then turned to his sides to see if there was anybody else around him. Seeing that there was no other person around besides himself, Tyler quickly turned back to the girl and said in a bland tone: "I'm sorry you must have me confused with someone else."

Hearing his words the beautiful girl's smile simply grew wider as she suddenly grabbed Tyler's arm and said: "Nope you're definitely the one I'm looking for!"

Before Tyler could even get his arm loose, the girl suddenly dragged him towards the nearby clothing store while saying: "Come on just keep me company for a bit! It'll be fun, just like a date!"

"W-Wait I..." Said Tyler as the girl continued to drag him towards the clothing store.

Judging from the girl's grip on his arm, Tyler couldn't help but think: "Despite her appearance.... this girl is quite strong."

Normally Tyler would try to avoid beautiful girls due to what happened with his brother's girlfriend, but for some reason Tyler felt some kind of strong connection to this girl that was pulling his arm. As if something deep within him was telling him to stay close to this girl.

Entering the clothes store, the girl immediate turned her head towards some of the teen girl clothes and exclaimed with shining eyes: "Wow their all so pretty!"

Seeing this Tyler thought: "She's acting as if this is her first time seeing female outfits."

The girl then excitedly turned towards Tyler and said: "Wait for me here. I'm gonna try on each of these clothes! Then you tell me which one of them looks good on me okay!"

Tyler: "I..."

But before Tyler could continue his words, the girl had already taken several of the clothes and rushed towards the nearby dressing room.

Seeing that the girl had already gone into the dressing room, Tyler couldn't help but just simply sigh.

He then thought: "I could probably just leave now while she's changing."

It was at this moment that Tyler suddenly heard voice seemingly shout within his head.

"DON'T!"

"Ugh!" The moment Tyler heard the voice, he immediately felt an excruciating headache. The voice then continued to shout.

"DO NOT LEAVE HER!"

"SHE IS REVELATION!"

"SHE IS APOCALYPSE!"

"SHE IS RUIN INCARNATE!"

"PREVENT THE WORLD'S DOOM!"

"STAY BY HER SIDE!"

When the pain finally subsided, Tyler immediately wiped the sweat by the side of his face and muttered: "What the hell.... was that?.... Am I hallucinating now?"

It was at this moment that the saleslady suddenly approached Tyler and said: "You seem quite nervous. Is this your first date with your girlfriend?"

Tyler: "Uh no we're not..."

But before he could continue with his words, the girl suddenly came out of the dressing room and said: "I'm ready!"

Seeing the girl now wearing a beautiful dress, Tyler couldn't help but be entranced for a moment as he said: "Wow looks good on you."

Hearing Tyler's words, the girl couldn't help but happily say: "Really? Then I'm buying this for sure!"

After that the girl immediately went to the saleslady to pay for her new clothes. As for Tyler he decided to take a look at the men's section and see if there are any clothes that he would take interest in.

After about ten minutes Tyler and the girl finally came out of the clothing store with Tyler carrying large paper bags filled with clothes in his hands.

"Haaah.... Why am I doing this?" Thought Tyler as he sighed while walking behind the girl.

It was at this moment that the girl excitedly pointed to a dessert shop and said: "Oh! There's sweets!"

She then turned to Tyler and once again pulled on his arm then said: "Let's go eat some sweets. Come on!"

Several minutes later both Tyler and the girl could now be seen to be eating slices of delicious looking cakes.

When the girl finished her slice of cake, she immediately stared at Tyler's unfinished slice of cake with shining eyes.

Seeing this Tyler thought for a moment then offered his unfinished slice of cake to her while saying: "You can have it if you want. I'm already pretty full."

"Really?!" Said the girl with excited eyes.

"Yeah sure you can have it." Said Tyler as he moved his plate towards the girl's side of the table.

"WAAAAA you're so nice thank you so much!" Said the girl in a happy tone.

Watching the girl happily eat his unfinished slice of cake, Tyler couldn't help but show a slight smile as he thought: "This girl.... she's like.... a child."

It was at this moment that Tyler's large bag suddenly started shaking.

"Oh!" Seeing this Tyler immediately placed his bag on his lap and opened it up.

It was at that moment that an adorable little white bunny with black spots suddenly jumped out of his bag.

Catching the small little bunny in his hands, Tyler smiled and said: "Did I wake you Dotty? I'm sorry."

After completely devouring Tyler's unfinished slice of cake, the girl then laid her eyes on the little bunny in Tyler's hands and said: "WAAAA So cute! Can I hold her?"

"Sure." Said Tyler as he handed the adorable little bunny to the girl.

"Kyaa! So cute! So fluffy!" Said the girl as she cuddled the adorable little bunny.

After leaving the dessert shop, the girl had once again dragged Tyler around the area. With the girl's beauty coupled with the adorable little bunny in her arms, least to say she had gathered a fair amount of attention from all of the onlookers.

After about twenty minutes being dragged around by the girl, Tyler then said: "Um I have to go meet with my Uncle in a little while so I might have to leave soon."

Hearing his words the girl couldn't help but give a sad smile and say: "I see well it looks like this is the end of our little date then."

She then turned towards the nearby small auction house and said: "How about we go attend the auction for a little while before we separate?"

Turning his head towards the nearby small auction house, Tyler simply nodded and said: "Sure..."

Hearing his reply the girl simply showed a slight smirk as she suddenly took out a blue piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to Tyler.

The Girl: "Here."

Seeing the piece of paper the girl was handing him, Tyler couldn't help but ask: "What is it?"

The girl's smile grew wider as she replied: "Oh nothing much, just something we'll need to sign to be able to enter the auction house."

She then stared at Tyler with a calm and mature expression completely different from her previous expressions and said in a serious but playful tone: "Don't worry all it says is that we'll have to take full responsibility for our actions once we enter the auction house that's all."

Hearing the girl's words Tyler suddenly shuddered for a split second. He then took the blue piece of paper and signed it without hesitation. He didn't know why but he felt as if this was something that he had to do.

"How did you even get this? Did you pass by the auction house earlier?" Asked Tyler as he handed the piece of paper back to the girl.

"Something like that." Replied the girl.

She then handed the bunny back to Tyler and said: "Here I think you should put him back in your bag before we enter the auction house."

Tyler nodded as he took the little bunny from the girl.

"Be good Dotty. I'll let you out in a little while. In the meantime you can eat the carrot slices I've prepared for you in the bag." Said Tyler as he placed the adorable little bunny back into his bag.

It was at this moment that the girl suddenly gently held his hand. It was completely different from how she had suddenly grabbed his arm before.

Now this sudden gentle action naturally caught Tyler off guard.

She then faced Tyler with a gentle smile and said: "Let's go."

Seeing her gentle smile had once again entranced Tyler. As such the boy simply nodded as a reply to her words.

As the two walked towards the auction house's doors while holding hands, the girl suddenly leaned towards Tyler's ear and whispered: "You know I really had fun today. Hopefully we can go on another date again next time..... Tyler."

Tyler who was surprised that she knew his name said: "Eh how did you know my...."

But before he could finish his words, the girl suddenly leaned in closer and kissed him on the lips.

It was at that moment that the doors of the auction house suddenly opened and both Tyler and the girl were immediately enveloped by a blinding blue light.

When Tyler opened his eyes, he suddenly found himself sitting at the front row of what looked like the inside of a large auction house covered in blue velvet.

At the center of the stage there was a bizarre old man with a long nose, pointed ears and bulging, bloodshot eyes sitting behind a blue table with a gavel in his hand.

Before Tyler could even say something about what was happening, the bizarre creepy looking old man with a long nose suddenly spoke: "Welcome to the Velvet Room my young Rogue. My name is Igor, I am delighted to finally make your acquaintance."

"Master please do not forget to introduce me as well." Said a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous looking body as she suddenly walked out from behind the blue velvet curtains.

The young woman was wearing a stunning blue skin tight dress while as her beautiful silver colored hair was styled in a ponytail with her bangs almost covering her left eye.

Igor then said: "Ah yes this is my assistant Victoria. Like myself she is also a resident of this place."

Victoria then turned to Tyler with a beautiful smile and said: "I am quite ecstatic to finally be meeting you Young Rogue."

Tyler: "Where... am I?"

Igor then said: "This is a place that exists between dream and reality, mind and matter... Only those who have signed a special contract may enter this place. It is due to this that you are now welcome here in the Velvet Room. Now then... Why don't you introduce yourself Young Rogue?"

Tyler: "My name is Tyler Enlux. By the way why are you calling me 'Young Rogue'?"

Igor: "Ah well that is because of what you are. One who represents that which should not exist.... The Rogue Arcana."

Tyler: "Rogue Arcana?... What is that?"

Hearing his words Igor simply grinned as he replied: "In time you will understand. Now... what if I told you that there is actually a hidden door within every person's heart?"

Tyler: "A door?"

Igor: "Yes... A door that when opened... Can bring forth a person's 'Other Self'."

Tyler: "A person's other self? I don't really understand."

Igor: "Oh but I guarantee that you eventually will my Young Rogue... You eventually will..."

Tyler: "Why are you even telling me this?"

It was at this moment that Victoria suddenly said: "Because unlike other people, what's behind the door hidden within your heart is actually something completely different."

Igor: "Yes... Behind your door is actually an infinite Abyss filled with Unknown Possibilities."

Tyler: "What does that... mean?"

Igor chuckled then said: "It means that you have the potential to bring forth what many would consider as inconceivable."

Victoria smiled and said: "Basically you can gain the power to make the impossible, possible."

Tyler: "I still don't...."

But before Tyler could finish his words he suddenly felt as if his consciousness was leaving him.

Igor then said: "Ah well it seems we must cut our discussion short for now... Well then... Til we meet again Young Rogue..."

When Tyler opened his eyes he once again found himself standing outside the auction house he was suppose to be entering before.

Wiping the sweat by the side of his cheek once again Tyler couldn't help but mutter: "What the hell just happened?"

It was at this moment that the security guard standing by the auction house doors suddenly approached him and asked: "Excuse me young man, are you planning on attending the auction?"

Hearing the guard's question Tyler couldn't help but turn to his side and there he saw that the girl that he was previously with was now gone. Even the paper bags filled with clothes she had bought had vanished.

He then turned to the security guard and asked: "Sir guard did you see which direction the girl I was with ran off to just now?"

Hearing his question the security guard immediately became confused as he replied: "Girl?... Young man you've been standing in front of the auction house by yourself for almost ten minutes now."

Tyler: "Huh?!"

.......

"Did she leave before the Guard saw her?.... Man today is such a weird day for me. First I got dragged around by some girl who I didn't even know, then I started hearing creepy voices and finally I hallucinated that I was in some weird place called the Velvet room. Haaah maybe I should just meet up with my Uncle earlier. I'm probably just tired from all the travel." Said Tyler as he walked away from the auction house.

After about half an hour later, Tyler could now be seen sitting inside a restaurant with a glass of juice in hands.

When the restaurant's door opened a middle aged man with brown hair suddenly walked in.

Seeing the middle aged man Tyler immediately waved to him with a slight smile and said: "Uncle!"

Seeing Tyler the middle aged man also smiled and immediately gave Tyler a hug.

Tyler's Uncle: "Ty it's so good to see you!"

"I'm happy to see you too Uncle Abe." Said Tyler as he returned Abe's hug.

When the two separated, they immediately took a seat on one of the tables.

Abe then sighed and said: "How is Terrance?"

Hearing Abe mention his brother, Tyler couldn't help but feel down as he replied: "He's.... Recovering."

Abe's expression then turned serious as he asked another question: "And how are you?"

Tyler: "I... made a mistake Uncle Abe. And now my family's broken because of it. I..."

But before he could finish his words Abe suddenly interrupted him: "Stop right there. If you're talking about your parents divorce then that is definitely not your fault. Your parents haven't really been happy with their marriage for quite awhile now. In fact if it wasn't for you two boys then I'm pretty sure the two of them would have separated long ago. Your brother's incident could only be said to have been the thing that made them finally go through with their separation."

Hearing his words Tyler couldn't help but be somewhat surprised: "I... didn't know that."

Abe then sighed once again and said: "Well let's discuss this later. For now how about I take you home and get you settled? Elaine's already there and she's quite excited to see you."

Tyler: "Cousin Elaine she... How did she react when she found out about what I did?"

Hearing his question Abe simply gave an awkward laugh and said: "Actually... I haven't really told her yet."

Tyler: "Eh? Why?"

Abe then started scratching his head as he said: "Well you know how my daughter gets. Chances are she'll probably drag you in front of Terrance and force you two to make up."

Tyler: "That... would indeed make me feel quite troubled. I'm still not ready to face him yet after all."

Abe nodded and said: "Uh-huh which is why I thought it'd be best for you to tell her yourself when you are ready."

Tyler then once again looked down as he said: "What I did was... unforgivable Uncle Abe."

Abe then placed his hand on Tyler's shoulder and said: "The fact that you realize that what you did was wrong is a start. Time heals all wounds. For now what you must do is try to become a better person that would not make such a mistake again. Anyway... come on let's go to my place. Elaine's probably already finished preparing the welcoming feast."

Tyler: "Uh... Sure."

When Tyler and Abe finally arrived at Abe's house, they were immediately greeted by a beautiful girl with lime colored hair.

Elaine showed a bright smile as she said: "You're here!"

Seeing Elaine's lovely smile, Tyler couldn't help but give a slight smile himself as he said: "Elaine... long time no see."

Elaine then rushed towards Tyler and gave him a tight hug.

Elaine: "I'm so happy to see you Tyler."

Tyler: "Me too Elaine."

"How's Terrance?" Said Elaine in a sad tone.

Tyler then once again looked down as he replied: "He's... getting better."

Elaine: "Why did such a thing even happen? Was he drunk when he drove the car?"

Hearing Elaine's question, Tyler couldn't help close his eyes and say: "I... really don't want to talk about it right now Elaine."

Seeing Tyler's sad expression Elaine couldn't help but once again give Tyler a hug and say: "Alright... But know that I'm always here if you want to talk okay."

Tyler: "Thank you Elaine."

Elaine then grabbed Tyler's arm and said: "Anyway come on inside. I've prepared a big feast for you."

Abe: "Hey what about me your dear old dad. Aren't you gonna give me a welcome home hug too?"

Elaine then gave a 'Hmph' and said: "After leaving me to cook all of that food by myself, you're lucky I'm still even letting you join us for the meal dad."

Abe(cold sweat): "Fair enough."

.......

Now sitting around a large table, the group of three ate to their heart's content.

Greatly satisfied with the meal, Tyler couldn't help but say: "That was really good. I didn't know you could cook food like this Elaine."

Abe then said: "Oh believe me Ty this food is the result of months of hard work.... And dozens of terrible prototype dishes."

Smack!

Right after Abe spoke his words, a thick piece of newspapers suddenly came out flying and directly hit his face.

"I believe you forgot to pick up your morning newspaper dad." Said Elaine with a somewhat scary smile.

Tyler smiled watching the father and daughter's antics.

After eating, Abe and Elaine immediately showed Tyler to his new room.

Seeing the fairly large room with a table, bed and TV, Tyler muttered: "I like it."

Abe: "That's good then. You'll be staying here for quite awhile after all."

Elaine then looked down and said: "It's a shame that I won't be able to spend much time with you here though."

Tyler then turned to her and asked: "Why not?"

Abe: "Elaine usually stays at her dorm now. In fact I rarely get to see her nowadays."

Elaine then said: "That reminds me. Tyler will be attending the same school as me from now on isn't he?"

Abe: "Yup he'll be entering as a transfer student at Starside Academy in two days."

Hearing this Elaine became elated: "That's great! This means I'll at least be able to spend some time with Tyler at school."

Tyler then turned to Elaine and asked: "Elaine, how is Starside Academy?"

Elaine: "Oh it's great! There are lots of clubs you can join, the teachers are pretty nice...."

Elaine then spent the next several minutes explaining to Tyler about Starside Academy.

Hearing about the school he will be attending, Tyler couldn't help but say: "Sounds like a great school."

Elaine: "Don't worry, I'll definitely give you the grand tour on your first day."

Abe then smiled and said: "It seems your forgetting that Ty will be transferring in as a freshman."

Elaine: "Ah! Oh yeah I forgot that you're a year younger than me."

Tyler thought: "From what Elaine said it really seems like a nice school.... Once I start I guess I'll fully focus on school so that I can try to forget about my family problems for awhile."

It was at that moment that Tyler suddenly remembered something as he immediately opened up his large bag. And like before, an adorable little white bunny with black spots suddenly jumped out of it.

"Dotty!" Shouted Elaine as she immediately took Dotty into her arms and started cuddling her.

At Night.....

As Tyler was preparing for bed, he decided to first watch the late night news to see if there was anything major currently happening in the world.

News Anchor: "Breaking News! An elderly florist lady who was known for being a kind and gentle elder had suddenly turned violent and stabbed one of her customers with a pair of scissors!"

News Anchor: "Witnesses say that the elderly woman suddenly became violent when one of her customers had accidentally plucked off a petal from one of her flowers. It was also stated that her eyes had suddenly turned yellow when she stabbed her customer with her pair of scissors."

News Anchor: "Due to this the police believe that this elderly woman must've also been affected by the infamous illness known as AMD(Aggression Mental Disorder) which has recently been experienced by some citizens of California."

Hearing this Tyler thought: "AMD again huh.... If memory serves this is like the thirteenth time that their reporting about a person that suddenly started acting violent the moment their eyes turned yellow."

Tyler then muttered: "Hopefully nothing like that happens near our place."

The Next Day.....

"Yaaaawn...." Tyler got up from his bed and immediately went to the bathroom to take his morning shower.

After taking his shower, he immediate turned to the little bunny who had just woken up on his table and said with a smile: "Good morning Dotty."

After feeding Dotty her breakfast, Tyler immediately went to the kitchen to have breakfast himself.

When he arrived at the kitchen and saw only Abe, he asked: "Where's Elaine?"

Abe replied: "She already went back to her dorm before dawn. She's got classes today after all."

Abe then said: "Oh and I'll be leaving for work in a little while as well. So you'll basically have the entire house all to yourself today. Ain't that great?"

Tyler: "Oh yeah I forgot you work as a restaurant manager Uncle Abe."

Abe: "Heh well anyway if you ever feel hungry while outside, drop by the restaurant I work at some time. I'll be sure to give you a discount. Oh and tell your will be classmates to do the same as well."

To Abe's words Tyler simply nodded and said: "Gotcha."

After eating breakfast, Abe quickly opened the front door and was preparing to leave.

Abe: "Well I'm going now. Make sure to take care of yourself while I'm gone Ty."

Tyler nodded: "Alright see you later Uncle Abe."

Once Abe left, Tyler thought: "I don't start school until tomorrow so I guess I could do chores around the house for today."

He then took a look around the house and thought: "Alright then for today I guess I'll try to make this house as clean and spotless as possible before Uncle Abe gets home."

With that Tyler spent the entire morning cleaning the house.

After cleaning the house as much as he could, Tyler suddenly heard his phone emit a sound.

Ding! Ding!

"Huh?" Hearing the sound Tyler quickly took out his phone to see why it sounded.

When he checked his phone, he found that he had just received some notifications on an app he had never seen before.

The app was blue colored with the capital letters 'VR' written on it.

Tyler then muttered: "I don't remember ever getting this app before. Hmm... I wonder what it does?"

When Tyler clicked on the app he suddenly saw the words....

♪♪♪ Proficiency Up!

Appear on his phone.

Seeing this Tyler couldn't help but think: "Proficiency up?... What does that mean?"

It was at that moment that Tyler remembered: "Oh crap I forgot to give Dotty her lunch!"

He then put his phone away and raced back to his room to feed his pet bunny.

.......

After feeding his bunny Tyler decided to go outside for a walk.

"Huh?" Suddenly he saw a group of guys surrounding a chubby teen boy inside a fairly small alley.

One of the guys then pulled on the chubby boy's collar and said in a tone full of anger: "Don't think that just because you've moved to a new school, you can get away from us you bastard!"

As for the chubby boy he simply had his head down with his eyes closed as if he had no intention to resist.

Another one of the guys then said: "Because of your stupidity, all of our hard work went down the drain! Our dreams of winning the championship gone just like that! All because of what you did!"

After the guy said those words, the chubby boy still chose to remain silent.

Seeing what was happening, Tyler couldn't just stand by and watch anymore.

He then approached the group of guys and said: "Hey don't you think that's a bit unfair? Five against one?"

One of the guys then turned towards Tyler and said: "If you don't wanna get hurt then mind your own damn business pretty boy."

The chubby boy then turned to Tyler and said with an obviously fake smile: "There's no trouble here we're just having a friendly discussion that's all."

Another one of the guys turned to Tyler and said: "Hey just piss off already would you."

Tyler then said: "Whatever's the problem here I'm sure you guys can settle it by talking it out."

By this point one of the guys surrounding the chubby boy suddenly threw a punch towards Tyler without warning.

However to the surprise of everyone who were watching, Tyler had actually easily caught the guy's punch with his left hand.

"Ow!" Said the guy as Tyler slightly twisted his wrist before letting go of his hand.

Tylen then smiled and said: " Now I think it's best that you all talk this out instead of resorting to violence."

"You bastard!" Said one of the guys as he threw a kick towards Tyler's face.

Tyler easily dodged the kick then countered with an elbow to the guy's stomach.

"Ugh!" Sounded the guy as he was pushed back.

It was then that one of the other guys suddenly raised a baseball bat and swung it towards Tyler.

Seeing this the chubby boy immediately shouted: "NO DON'T!"

As for Tyler seeing the baseball bat coming towards him, he remained calm. The moment it got close enough, Tyler simply caught the baseball bat with his two hands and pulled it away from the one wielding it.

He then grabbed the guy's arm, and performed a judo throw on him.

"Ugh!" The guy could now be seen with his back on the ground grimacing in pain.

Tyler then smiled and said: "Well since you all want to resort to violence, then I don't mind doing so either."

Seeing what just happened to their companion, the other guys couldn't help but have a bit of fear towards Tyler.

One of them then said: "Crap this guy knows how to fight let's get out of here!"

After that the guys which were surrounding the chubby boy immediately ran away as fast as they could while as the who got a taste of a judo throw shouted towards Tyler: "Bastard we'll get you back for this!"

Seeing that the group of guys surrounding him was gone, the chubby boy walked slowly towards Tyler and said: "Thank you for helping me.... But it really wasn't necessary. Those guys will probably cause trouble for you the next time they see you now."

Staring at the chubby boy Tyler couldn't help but frown. He then asked: "Why didn't you resist when they were clearly bullying you?"

The chubby boy then sighed and said: "Because I deserve it. I made a mistake and because of that those guys lost something important to them."

Hearing the chubby boy's words Tyler couldn't help but remember the words he had said to his Uncle Abe the day before...."I... made a mistake Uncle Abe. And now my family's broken because of it."

Tyler then said: "I don't really know what the mistake you made was but.... the fact that you seem to greatly regret it makes me believe that.... you probably didn't mean to make that mistake intentionally. So maybe if you show them that you sincerely regret it, they'll eventually forgive you."

Hearing Tyler's words the chubby boy couldn't help but show a slight smile and say: "Thanks for the advice.... I'll... take it to heart. Oh um you wanna get a drink? My treat.... you can consider it as thanks for helping me out just now."

"Sure." Said Tyler as he nodded.

The chubby boy then said: "Oh and by the way my name is David... David Matthews."

Tyler: "I'm Tyler... Tyler Enlux"

The two boys then shook hands after introducing themselves to each other.

At this moment the two boys could be seen happily chatting with each other on a park bench with soda bottles in their hands.

David: "Oh so you're going to be attending Starside Academy as a transfer student?"

Tyler: "Yeah I'll be starting tomorrow."

David then smiled and said: "That's great! I also go to Starside Academy. We can probably meet each other at school. By the way what year are you?"

Tyler: "1st year."

David: "Awesome! I'm a freshman too. Maybe you'll be assigned to the same class as me."

Tyler then said: "That would be nice. At least I'll know somebody in class."

David then said in a reassuring tone: "Don't worry, if you really do get assigned to my class I'll make sure to look out for you."

"I'll be counting on you then." Said Tyler as he gave a slight smile and nod.

As the two boys were enjoying their time at the park chatting with each other, David suddenly realized: "Oh it's 5 P.M.... I probably should be getting back home now. My mom will need my help preparing dinner."

Tyler then stood up and said: "Yeah my Uncle should probably be heading home in a few minutes too. I'll need to be home to welcome him."

David then also stood up and said: "Guess we'll be heading home now. It was nice meeting you Tyler."

Tyler: "You too David."

David: "By the way what street is your house at Tyler? Mine's at Dexter Street."

Tyler: "I moved in to my Uncle's house just yesterday. It's at Luckster Street."

David: "Oh then that means we can walk home together. I'll pass by Luckster Street on my way home after all."

Tyler: "Alright then lets go. We can talk more about that game you mentioned while we walk home. What was it called again... Shin Megami Tensei Liberation DX2?"

As the two boys talked while they walked home under the evening skies, David suddenly saw something that made him stop in his tracks.

"What's wrong?" Asked Tyler.

David then pointed towards the outside of the police station and said: "You see that girl standing outside the police station. She's one of the most popular girls in school."

Tyler then turned his head towards the direction David was pointing at and thought: "That's... Elaine?"

Elaine could be seen staring at the police station with a serious expression. As if there was something about the police station that made her feel troubled.

David then said: "Her name is Elaine Dreyans, she's a member of the archery club. The number of boys that got rejected by her are near countless."

Hearing this Tyler gave a forced smile as he thought: "Well I guess some things never change."

"Huh? What's that police officer doing?" Said David.

Hearing David's words, Tyler immediately raised his head to see what was going on. And there he saw a police officer slowly walking towards Elaine with a creepy smile on his face. In his hand was a pistol with a silencer attached to it however the most notable thing about him was definitely his eyes... They were glowing yellow.

Seeing this Tyler's expression changed as he thought: "Yellow eyes? Could that be?... Oh no Elaine!"

Without thinking twice, Tyler immediately rushed towards Elaine and shouted: "Elaine behind you!"

Hearing Tyler's voice Elaine immediate turned around to look behind her. And there she saw a policeman with glowing yellow eyes and a demented smile pointing a pistol with a silencer towards her.

Elaine's expression changed as she quickly took out something akin to a bladeless knife handle from her pocket.

However before she could even do anything with it, the policeman pulled the trigger.

Puchi!

At that moment Tyler felt as if his heart had suddenly stopped.

However as if by reflex, Elaine quickly raised the knife handle in her hand and by sheer luck....

Cling!

Managed to block the bullet with it.

"Kyaa!" Screamed Elaine as she was knocked back and fell to the ground. The knife handle also flew away from her hand the moment the bullet hit it.

"Elaine!" Seeing what had just happened Tyler rushed towards Elaine even faster. He wasn't sure if she was hit by the bullet or not.

"What the hell is that Police Guy doing?!" Said David as he ran trying to catch up to Tyler.

The Police Officer then turned towards the two boys that were rushing over and muttered: "Tch! To think there would be others who could stay awake within my Lullaby Domain. Hmph I'll just finish off the girl first then deal with these two after."

The Police Officer then once again pointed his pistol towards Elaine.

Seeing the Police Officer planning to shoot at her once again, Elaine couldn't help but curse: "Damn his bullet made me drop my Invokey!"

She then quickly turned to Tyler who was rushing over and shouted: "Tyler don't come here he's dangerous!"

Puchi!

"AHH!" Screamed Elaine as a bullet grazed her leg.

She couldn't get up.

"Elaine!" Shouted Tyler in worry.

"Tch! I missed again. I'm really not used to using this human weapon they call a gun." Muttered the Policeman.

"This time I'll point it to her chest." Said the policeman as he once again pointed the gun towards Elaine.

As the Policeman was about to once again pull the trigger, Tyler felt as if time had suddenly stopped.

At that moment Tyler thought: "I'm not gonna make it.... That policeman's gonna shoot her.... He's gonna kill her.... I.... I'm not fast enough.... No!.... I need to be faster.... FASTER!"

At that very moment, Tyler's eyes had suddenly flashed with purple light as a voice sounded within his mind.

"I am thou... Thou art I..."

"Oh Rogue who wield's the Abyss of souls..."

"My Power is your's to use as you see fit..."

When Tyler felt that time had resumed again, he unconsciously muttered: "Sukukaja!"

A dark silhouette then appeared from behind Tyler for a split second as his speed had suddenly greatly increased.

Puchi!

As the police officer had pulled the trigger for the third time, Tyler had arrived just in time to shield Elaine with his body.

Whoosh!

"Ugh!" The bullet had grazed Tyler's shoulder.

"Tyler!" Shouted Elaine in worry.

"Tch! Piece of Junk!" Said the policeman as he threw the gun away.

He then turned back towards Tyler and Elaine with a demented smile and said: "Well now I guess I'll just have to take care of you brats the old fashioned way."

It was then that the policeman's body had suddenly turned completely black as he quickly grew fifteen foot tall with large muscles suddenly appearing on his arms and legs.

"W-What the hell is that thing?!" Said David as he tripped and fell down backwards in fear.

Seeing what was occurring Tyler couldn't help but mutter: "He's... a monster?"

As for Elaine she clenched her fists and said: "A Gigas Shadow."

When the 'Policeman' completed it's transformation, it's skin now appeared as if it was completely made out of black metal while as a golden mask had now appeared on it's face with the roman numeral 'XI' appearing at the forehead part of it.

"Now then... It's time to finish off you brats." Said the Gigas Shadow as it slowly walked towards Tyler and Elaine.

"Damn where did my Invokey drop to?!" Said Elaine as she looked around for the knife handle she dropped.

When she saw the knife handle beside David, she immediately shouted towards the chubby boy: "Hey you over there toss me that knife handle quick!"

"Eh? Y-Yes!" Said David as he quickly picked up the knife handle and threw it towards Elaine and Tyler. Although he didn't know what it was, he wagered that it might be something used for self-defense. Otherwise why would Elaine suddenly ask for it.

"Ugh!" It was at that moment that Tyler had once again felt as if time had stopped as the voice in his head once again spoke.

"Unleash me... "

"You know what you have to do..."

"Take the key... Plunge it straight into your heart..."

"Open the Abyss of thy soul..."

"UNLEASH ME..."

"I am thou... Thou art I..."

As Elaine was about to catch the knife handle, Tyler's hand suddenly came out of nowhere and caught it before she did.

"Tyler what are you..." Said Elaine in surprise at what Tyler did.

At that moment Tyler's eyes were already glowing with purple light as a dark smile appeared on the boy's face.

Shiiing!

It was then that the knife handle in his hand started shining with purple light as it quickly transformed into a key that seemed to be made of purple light.

Seeing this Elaine couldn't help but be shocked as she muttered: "Tyler he.... has that power too?"

Tyler then held the purple key in a reverse grip as he plunged it straight into the left side of his chest.

Shatter!

The sound of shattered glass was heard.

Tyler then began to mutter...

"PER..."

"Finally the time has come." Said Victoria as she watched the events that were transpiring.

"...SO..."

"How delightful! The door to the Unknown Abyss will finally be opened." Said Igor as he watched Tyler from inside the Velvet Room.

"...NA!" The moment Tyler uttered the last syllable, he immediately turned the purple key that was inside his heart.

BOOM!

A dark purple pillar of light then appeared from behind Tyler as his body was enveloped by purple flames.

"W-What the hell is happening now?!" Said David as he was in the brink of peeing his pants.

"Now what?!" Said the Gigas Shadow as it covered it's eyes from the blinding dark purple light.

From the dark purple light pillar a voice sounded.

"I am thou... Thou art I..."

When the dark purple light pillar vanished, a terrifying looking knight wearing dark purple armor could be seen in it's place.

"From the Abyss of thy soul I've come..."

Said the dark purple knight as it raised it's head facing the Gigas Shadow.

"I am he who wields the Demon Swords Arondight and Secace..."

Said the dark purple knight as he raised his two swords.

"The strongest knight under the king of knights... I am Lancelot, the Knight of the lake..."

Said the dark purple knight as the purple flames around Tyler began to vanish.

"Oh Rogue who has called me forth... point me to thy enemies so that my swords may shower the lands with their blood!"

Said the dark purple knight as he pointed one of his swords towards the Gigas Shadow.

By this point Tyler's outfit and appearance had completely changed. His eyes and hair had now completely turned purple. As for his outfit... he was now wearing a black shirt, dark purple pants, dark purple shoes, dark purple gloves, a long dark purple coat and finally a dark purple face mask that was covering his nose down to his chin.

Seeing this Elaine immediately took out a ring with a white stone from her pocket and quickly threw it towards Tyler while shouting: "Tyler catch!"

When Tyler caught the ring, Elaine immediately said: "Put it on your ring finger quick!"

Hearing Elaine's words Tyler simply nodded as he put the ring on his left ring finger.

Shiiing!

The stone on the ring then changed color to purple as it shined with purple light. It was then that a purple katana suddenly appeared in Tyler's hand.

Seeing the katana in Tyler's hand, Elaine couldn't help but smile as she thought: "Thankfully it was a katana. He'll know how to use it."

"Hmph! So what if you've awakened your persona, you're still nothing more than a human brat!" Said the Gigas Shadow as it shot a large ball of yellow flames from it's fist towards Tyler.

"Let's go Lancelot!" Said Tyler as both he and Lancelot took stances with their swords.

"My swords are yours to command oh Rogue of the Abyss." Replied his Persona.

When the large ball of yellow flames was just one feet away from him, Tyler then shouted: "Eiha Cleave!"

Tyler and Lancelot then swiftly swung their swords that were now clad with dark energy towards the large yellow ball of flames.

Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..

Their attacks divided the yellow ball of flames into six. After a moment the six small balls of flames immediately vanished.

"W-What?!" Seeing what had just happened, the Gigas Shadow couldn't help but be shocked. Must know that that was his strongest attack.

In truth even Elaine was shocked as she thought: "Amazing... To think Tyler would already be this strong upon awakening his persona. I've honestly only ever seen such power from my seniors."

Before the Gigas Shadow could recover from his shock, Tyler then muttered: "Sukukaja!"

He then disappeared in a blur and reappeared standing behind the Gigas Shadow.

"Wha?!" Shouted the Gigas Shadow as it stepped back in fear.

Elaine thought: "Such speed!... I think only senior Aron's persona could allow him to move that fast."

"Lancelot!" Shouted Tyler as Lancelot quickly swung Arondight down towards the Gigas Shadow's left arm.

Puchi!

"AAAAARGH!" Shouted the Gigas Shadow as his left arm was cut off.

"Damn You!" Said the Gigas Shadow as it jumped away from Tyler and his Persona.

"Don't think I'll be fighting you alone! Come!" Said the Gigas Shadow as it placed it's hand on the ground.

It was then that dozens of black blobs with arms and masks sticking out of them suddenly appeared completely surrounding Tyler.

Seeing this Elaine's expression couldn't help but change as she thought: "Maya Shadows!... And there's so many of them!"

Seeing the dozens of Maya Shadows surrounding him, Tyler just simply showed a slight smirk as he shouted: "Maeiha Gale Slash!"

"HAA!" Shouted Lancelot as he swung his swords around him.

It was then that dozens of dark crescent shaped energy blades were launched from Lancelot's swords.

Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..Whoosh!..

The dark crescent shaped energy blades then tore the dozens of Maya Shadows apart completely killing them.

However one Maya Shadow managed to escape the barrage of dark energy blades and got close enough to attack Tyler. Unfortunately for the Maya Shadow, Tyler had easily dodged it's attack and quickly cut him in half with his purple katana.

Seeing what had just happened, David couldn't help but exclaim: "Holy crap that looked so awesome!"

"N-No way! I-I can't die here!" Seeing what had just happened the Gigas Shadow started to slowly back away in fear.

Tyler then stared at the Gigas Shadow with sharp serious eyes and said: "You hurt my family... I will make you pay for that!"

Hearing his words the Gigas Shadow immediately turned around and tried to run away.

However before he could get much distance between him and Tyler, Tyler immediately rushed towards him at great speed.

When Tyler and Lancelot arrived in front of the Gigas Shadow, he immediately shouted: "Mudo Zan-ei!"

"HAA!" Lancelot then swung his swords that were now clad with even thicker dark energy than before towards the Gigas Shadow.

Whoosh!..Whoosh!..

The Gigas Shadow's body was completely divided into four. The pieces of it's body then began to slowly vanish.

After a few moments the pieces of the Gigas Shadow's body had completely vanished.

Seeing this David couldn't help but exclaim: "H-He did it! He killed that monster!"

Elaine gave a sigh of relief as she muttered: "Thank goodness..."

It was then that Tyler's Persona began to vanish as his appearance and outfit returned to normal.

Thud!

He then fell to the ground completely unconscious.

"Tyler!" Shouted Elaine.

"W-What happened?!" Shouted David.

Tyler had fainted due to exhaustion caused by awakening his persona for the first time.
