Then, I thought he had died, but he started coughing. Fear washed over me, and I checked the mind stone, but it was still closed. I realized he was crying, which meant he wasn't being controlled; his lifeless body had come back to life. Did the computer set him back to a controllable state before leaving, or did the remaining body develop its own consciousness, or was the old soul still there and repaired?
