1 1-Start Of Something New

Alejandra's P.O.V:

As I sat up on my bed and checked the time it reads 7, which means I have 2 hours left for school, I went to the window and opened the curtains making the sunshine warm my skin. I smiled at the weather and went to take a shower. After the long refreshing shower, I went to the mirror and looked at my boring old self and decided to blow dry my hair and decided to keep it natural with its long caramel brown hair with it huge curls.

As I dried my hair I went in to my walk -in closet to choose my outfit for the day , I saw all kinds of clothing , accessories and shoes . I have always got everything i want, most of the times things that I don't even need, but who am I to complain, I mean my dad does spoil me a lot . Being the younger sibling has it's own perks and advantages,but I have never felt the need to be proud of what i have. I mean love my family and i am proud but I don't think I need to be proud that i'm wealthy,it's just that i'm blessed.

I wore blue pants with a sweet pink turtle neck crop top,and paired it with my white vans and got myself a watch to complete the look then i took my pendant, which is the most important part of being me, I mean I could trade anything for it you know why?Because it was given to me by my mom when I was a kid ,as the symbol of love.It was made of platinum with a clover leaf that was made of diamond,this was everything I have left of my mum as a memory so I treasured it more than anything and i always wore it around my neck.

I went to the bed to take my phone from the bed stand as I switch it on I see something that made me smile real bright, the reason to why I was so happy today.I saw the photo of me and Nick when we were kids , that was one of the moments I treasured so much.

(Flashback of when Alex was 10 years old)

" Come on Alex,give me back my ball" Miguel told me.

"You took away my book.So nope I won't give it back until you give me back my book" I told him showing off my tongue at him.

"Mom tell her to give my ball back" Miguel told my mom whining to which she replied "Miguel you took her book away first , so you return it and then she will give you back your ball." I laughed at her statement and Miguel frowned and said "Fine you bookworm"with that he went storming up to his room to get my book. When he returned I told him"Never mess with a girl who lives for books"with which I gave him his ball back and continued with my book.

"Alex , Miguel come here . I need to tell you guys something" my mom called out to us . Both of us followed her voice to the living room with confusion written all over our faces. "Ah there you guys are " my mom said ."today your dad and my friends are coming over.So I expect you guys to be on your best behaviour and not create any trouble.Got it?" My mom continued to which I and Miguel replied with an "okay."

"I know both of you guys are good kids and keep your promises.So later i'll bake your guys' favorite cookie okay?"Our mom asked us."Thank You mommy we love you"I said answering for both of us.Miguel went and hugged her with me joining in."Okay now both of you go and get dressed" she said to which I and Miguel ran up to our rooms.

After an hour of searching for something to wear, I finally ended up choosing a navy blue frock which I paired with my cute navy blue flats since navy blue is my favorite color.

I went down to see Miguel in his black suit and a black tie.Even as kids we were taught to dress formally because of the number of parties and gatherings we attend regarding our dad's company.

"You look like an eggplant" Miguel said disrupting my train of thoughts to which I replied"yeh right and you look like a burned potato in that suit"with a smirk .I went to my mom and asked her if my two best friends would come to which she replied and said"yes they will."

As I was eagerly waiting for them to arrive I saw Dahlia and her family arrive first so I went running to her and as she saw me she came running to meet me halfway and gave me a tight embracing hug ."I missed you Dahlia." I told her ."Me too Alex."From the corner I saw Miguel say"Come on,you girls met just two days ago.How can you guys act like you haven't met each other for two years?"to which our parents laughed and hugged each other.Soon Cleo also arrived and we did 'our routine' as Miguel called it.After we exchanged our welcomes with the parents,the three of us went on to have some cookies.

As we were munching on our cookies,my eyes caught something as I looked closely to who those people were,mom called me and Miguel to come near her and when I walked near towards her everything stopped for a moment like actually.I know it's funny to hear a ten-year old say something like this but that was actually exactly what i felt at that moment.

I saw the cutest guy ever,I mean in my whole timeline of existence.I never call any guy cute but this guy standing in front of me was seriously so so cute with a navy blue suit and tie.As I was busy admiring him which practically meant staring at him like a creep,my parents said"Karen and David it's so good to see you guys after such a long time."The woman smiled and replied"The feeling's mutual.We missed you guys too.Its good to be back "after they hugged they looked at us and said "OH my god Alex and Miguel you guys have grown up so much."the man who I assumed was David said.I smiled politely at him and so did Miguel.

"Hello sir and ma'am my name is Alejandra and I am ten years old"I said giving them an introduction."Hello sir and ma'am my name is Miguel and I am eleven years old."my brother said doing his part.After we were done introducing ourselves the woman urged her son to introduce himself."Uh hi everyone my name is Nick and I am ten years old"he said.

'Okay this cute boy's name is Nick and he's the same age as me.'I thought to myself.The whole party I couldn't help but stare at Nick.I didn't know why I found him so cute and when my two best friends saw me catching the feels for him,they started planning my future which made me blush which encouraged them even more.

Before the party ended,we had a photo session to treasure all our wonderful memories we had made that's what our parents said.And when it was the kids' turn,my mom and Nick's mom made us stand each other since we had the same colored clothes which would look cute if we stood next to each other.To this comment I blushed which made him give me a weird look and that was when the picture was clicked which made it look like he was staring at me.

(Back to the present)

My thoughts were disturbed as I heard a sound from my phone indicating that I had received a message.It was a text from Dahlia that said she had left home and was on her own way.

With that I picked up my backpack and jogged down the stairs to which my dad replied with a"Don't run honey.You'll hurt yourself"He is always so worried about me.

"Kay daddie"I replied.He put a plate of pancakes dripping with nutella in front of me.I smiled as I ate it which my brother found suspicious and so he said"How come you're so happy on your first day of school?That isn't like the Alex I know."I mentally sighed preparing myself to take on his interrogation.:That's coz I am going to meet my best friends"I replied sweetly.

"Or is it because of a certain somebody who you fancy?"He asked wiggling his eyebrows.My dad looked up from his breakfast waiting for my reply to my over smart brother.Just when I was out of words my phone started ringing and when i saw the caller id i said"ahhh.sorry dummy I have no time to answer your crap."I said mentally deciding to thank Cleo later.My dad cleared his throat and said"Language young lady"."Sorry daddy see you later."I said kissing his forehead and giving my brother a high-five.

"Oh my god I literally love you Cleo" I told her and Dahlia.They looked at me puzzled so I explained the whole situation to them."That was close"Dahlia said laughing."I know right"I said with a smile on my face."Anyway next destination Oakwood High"I said which made my friends laugh at my childishness.
