Chapter 6:JUSTICE IS NOT TO BE SOLD
While I take a small stroll inside the empty shop that'll soon be my perfume parlour it makes my chest tight with the anticipation of my first business, I can't help but grin while surveying each and every corner of the shop.
"My lady! You were so cool a moment ago!! Like the way you glared at the dealer pig and Lady Greenwealth and showed them their place!"
"Heh! I should've done that sooner. Count or no count, every human is supposed to be treated in a right manner that they deserve. Even Goddess Aeiyara will be pleased with the judgement I made today."

Goddess Aeiyara is the God mentioned in this novel as the supreme being. There's a small legend about her as well. It is said that once in the begining of the proper civilization, there was a gardener taking care of a garden on a large land that used to grow all types of fruits, vegetables and flowers one can imagine. One day calamity came upon the land and all the crops died, then following came drought and it continued for many decades. The gardener was tired and hungry due the lasting calamity that had fallen upon him and his land. He decided to pray and wish from the depths of his heart with purity for fruitful showers. Then suddenly from the dried cracks of his land a small light shone and a huge bud grew rapidly. The gardener was scared with this sudden miracle and did not know how to respond to it. Then, he heard a voice coming from the vast sky.
"Do not fear oh hardworking one..."
The gardener was more confused to hear the voice that sounded of Mother(a female). He said, "Who art thou? From where art thou speaking?" As he said this the huge flower bud in front of him bloomed into a fine white flower having beautiful translucent petals and in the middle of the flower stood Goddess Aeiyara with long silver hair even flowing down the bloomed flower, red ruby like eyes, snow white smooth skin wrapped with white cloth and silver-golden jewellery with a bright halo behind her. Then Goddess Aeiyara spoke, "It is I, who speaks O' hardworking one"
The gardener was astounded by the holy presence of Goddess Aeiyara and bowed to her being on his knees, then she further said that she was testing the sincerity of the Gardner towards this land by giving him some trials which he passed flawlessly. Being satisfied with his dedication, goddess gifted him abundance of wealth, cattles, stream, birds, animals and greenery and announced him as the king of this land. The flower from where Goddess Aeiyara bloomed out is also the national flower of this kingdom, the flower PLUMERIA ALBA.
But I don't know why the goddess has sent "ME" here in the body of Sara Galliois. Anyways it's better than being a female lead with lots of pursuers. I can drool over hot handsome smexy men from aside~
"oh! My lady! There's a second floor as well!"
"Is it? let's have a look at it as well."
"Yes!"
I and Mary climb upstairs to the second floor and it's absolutely to my liking.
"Now this is what I call a perfect Perfume Salon" Second floor compared to the ground floor is much more brighter and spacious with an attached balcony. The windows of this shop are wide and just looking at it even when it's shut makes me feel free. And the small backyard perfect for laying out few tables for the ladies and gentlemen who wishes to relax and have a cup of fragrant tea. I am very satisfied with the plot. To think Lady Violet Greenwealth was planning to take over this shop makes me feel annoyed again. But what should we do, a lame duck can't be sold right?
"Mary"
"Yes my lady!"
"Go and finalise the deal make sure he doesn't pull any tricks and there's a proper contract prepared. Get a copy of the contract as well."
"Yes my lady! I'll be right back!" I nodded at her as she went to fulfill my orders with much determination. It feels nice to order around one's subordinate eh? I'm getting a hang of it now~
"!! Aghー FUCK! I don't have time! I need to visit Earl Emire as well!" If I don't pull this string before time it might get cut later.
The negotiations with that degenerated dealer went smooth later on I got a copy of the contract as well. I asked Mary to stay behind as there's still some matters to be cleared out with that dealer and now I'm heading straight towards the Bank that's right at the centre of the central market. That's where Earl Emire would be as it still just 12:30 PM and the bank closes at 2PM for the visitors.
I take my steps inside the bank and there I see that lots of people are busy with some documents, maybe it's something urgent. I don't have time to worry about this matter, I need to see the Earl Emire by today or elseー
"!! YOU!!"
This awfully familiar voice and an arrogant face that disgracefully called out for me, how could I ever forget it. It's the same officer that visited our house seizing and being rude with my family. Tch! All are scums I've been meeting until now. And when I'm finally headed where I'll be listened to and treated as humane you try to block my path again?!
"What's the matter officer? Why block my path? I think you have some work to finish first than handle me."
"You wench!ー"
"BE CAREFUL OF HOW YOU SPEAK MR OFFICER OR ELSE THAT TONGUE SPOUTING NONSENSE, I MIGHT NOT THINK TWICE BEFORE I SLICE IT WITH OUR FAMILY'S SWORD"
"!!ー tch! May I ask what are you here for, Lady Sara Galliois."
"No, it's none of your concerns. I guess you're not the manager here, I'm here to fix an appointment with Earl Emire."
"WHY?!! WHY DO YOU NEED TO MEET HIM??!" Feeling all anxious that I might reveal your actions of few days ago to the Earl?

"Don't worry, I am not here to complain about some "rats" sneaking in my house you see..~"

"DIDN'T I TELL YOU IT'S NONE OF YOUR CONCERNS? WHY, YOU WANT TO KNOW WHETHER YOUR MASTER COULD SNEAK IN LIKE YOU OR NOT??"

"Then go inform the Earl that Young Lady of Galliois house requests an audience with him"

That scum ran to inform Earl Emire about my arrival. Soon news came that he asked me to wait in the waiting room till he calls for me. I agreed. But now, IT HAS BEEN 3 FUCKING HOURS SINCE I'M SITTING IN THIS WAITING ROOM!! I WANNA GO HOME AS WELL!!~

"Lady Sara Galliois, Earl Emire has called for you." FINALLY!!!!
"Yes, please lead the way."
A different worker came this time to pick me up and we went to the third floor of the building where Earl Emire's cabin lies.
"please enter Lady Sara Galliois."

As I enter inside the office I see lemon green plain pastel walls with cabinet of books and documents at both front corners of the room, with files upon side desk and a small sofa set. And in front of me, is Earl Emire working on his working desk. His posture makes it clear how poised and just he is.
"I, daughter of count Galliois, Sara Galliois, greet Earl Emire"
"... Miss Galliois, how are you and your family faring?"
"Very fine Earl. Thank you for your concerns."
"Then... WHAT'S YOUR PURPOSE TO VISIT ME?" Here it comes, the moment to make my move and present my proposal to him. It will decide whether or not he'll be my ally, it depends if he buys my proposal or not. I can't help but gulp hard as right now my throat is running dry with nervousness.
"In 1 week's time, there'll be the news of collapsion of great library and there'll be burglary in the storehouse of Viscount Greenwealth where there's proof of him embezzling precious items out of the kingdom."
"...so with this information you want to exchange the debt you have taken in the name of your father? How disrespectful and disgraceful!" I know he's testing me, who would believe if someone claims to know the future as it's something only two people could do; one, the saint or saintess and the other, the witches or wizards not even mages.
"I apologise if my words were interpreted as such. But if rumours are like fire in the dry forest then you must know that I have started a new business. Therefore I'll be paying my debts in parts in the end of each month till it's clear. If you want I can sign a petition or contract as well. You can sue me anytime." I know that you won't be sold off as other degenerated officers as you firmly believe in justice and justice can't be sold off. So I have no choice but to unfold my last card that I have for you.
"Earl Emire, how's the health of Countess Emire?"

"I guess her dizziness and headache haven't seized and it's growing worse day by day? Doctors aren't able to find a cause and she keeps having those headache medicines but there're no results, is there?"
"HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS? DID YOU DIG OUT THE INFORMATION FROM THE INFORMATION GUILD?"

Okay, this is awkward. NO!! WHAT HAPPENED ABOUT THE MATTER WE WERE DISCUSSING FEW MOMENTS AGO!?!
"That aside Earl, what if I say that I could treat Countess' headache?"
"?! Even experienced doctors couldn't find the treatment. And you say SO EASILY THAT YOU COULD?! STOP BLUFFING PLEASE!"

"Yes it's true. But Earl, I haven't even done anything for you to gain your trust. I'm just keeping my proposal..." I'm just letting out a bait, now my skill and perseverance will let me know WHETHER THE FISH WILL CATCH THE BAIT OR NOT.

"Miss Galliois, I look forward of your visit in the Emire house when you're free" Ah!ー GOT IT!!!
"I'll send Emire house a letter soon, thank you for your cooperation Earl"
