Starry Night pt 2
Thursday Evening
Lumine's POV
The sun was starting to set just me, Kody, Aiden, Sherry, and Silver were heading to the school for the festival.
As we were all walking through the woods, fireflies were out and about, sunlight was peeking through the trees, and we even saw an occasional moth or two.
It was a gorgeous evening.
I also remember a saying "Love is brightest in the dark" that my mom used to tell me.
As we made our way to the courtyard, Aiden and the other two went to pay for their admission while Kody and I went to explore around the festival area. There was food, games where you could bob for apples and etc, and there was music provided by us students.
While the students in our music class were getting ready, Kody and I were blowing off some steam at the game booths. First we went to the target booth, then we tried to win us a prize at the booth where you had to fish for a toy goldfish, and we bought a snack for the two of us.
Once Mrs Rin was ready for us, we ran as fast as our legs could carry us.
While Kody and I were getting into our costumes, I saw Mrs Rin talking to a peculiar girl. She was around 16 by the way she looked.
She had gorgeous long blonde hair that glistens like the night sky, she had two buns that looked just like meatballs, and she was wearing a white dress that really compliments her skin tone.
Once we got dressed, we got in line standing next to Calla. Mrs Rin walks on stage to start the program for the festival.
"Hi everyone! I am glad that you guys came to our school festival tonight. On this gorgeous night, our music class will be performing songs that we've practiced in class or worked on yesterday with a partner. We also have a special guest from Japan that came here on tour and here she is!"
"Hi everyone! My name is Mitsuki Kouyama and I am so glad to be tonight. I hope you guys enjoy all the wonderful performances to come."
To start off the program, Kody and I were up first.
I walked ahead while Kody rolled the keyboard on stage.
Once Kody was ready, our performance started.
Eternal love is the one we're all wishing for.
We reach to the stars and we dance along with the moon.
The stars are shining along the water's edge.
We wipe away our tears and then we sing this song.
It's so long goodbye.
Goodbye, goodbye, so many times I repeated the same word to myself.
I wave my hands gently.

When Kody stops playing, everyone was in awe. For a moment, there was silence. Then they all stood up giving us a standing ovation and then Aiden ran up towards the stage giving us one of the biggest hugs he's ever given anybody. Once we caught our breath, Mitsuki walks towards us for small chat.
"Hey Mitsuki! Long time no see." Said Aiden. "You too Aiden! You really have quite the talented pair of kids!" She says.
Once Kody and I got back into our regular clothes, we went and sat next to Aiden, Mitsuki, Silver, and Sherry.
"You know, these two actually reminded me of how I first started out as a singer" Mitsuki says to Aiden. "I know right" said Aiden. "Tomorrow I will be performing at the school if you guys want to come watch" says Mitsuki.
We all scream in excitement and accepted her offer.
