Big Day

Saturday morning

Kody's POV

It was the day of our performance, Lumine and I got dressed into some decent clothes for this special occasion.

I wore a black suit with a red rose boutonnière and Lumine wore a white suit with gold trim on the collar and sleeves of his coat. To go with his outfit, had a blue rose boutonnière and a gold pin that looked like a running wolf on his coat.

"My my you two look dashing this morning. What's the occasion?" Asked Sherry. We told her that was a surprise and that Aiden, her and Silver will be seeing it here soon. We also told her we're just setting up and that send a text for when we were ready for them. We dusted the piano to get rid of any dust, got me a stool from the kitchen and set next to the piano, and then we found the sheet music and set Kody's phone on the book stand.

"Okay, I think we've just about got everything ready" I said. I sent a text to dad, Sherry, and Silver for them to come into the living room. Once everybody was seated and comfortable, we got ourselves ready to begin.

Lumine's POV

"Welcome everyone! Today, we have a special treat for y'all." I said. "We are going to be performing a song we've practicing all week just for you.

"It is called Ten no Hoshi (Stars of Heaven) and I hope you guys enjoy.

Kody starts to play the piano and I sang along with the music.

Oh, is it sadness, is it regret, or could it be joy?

Oh, feelings are now overflowing in my burning chest.

The thin voice is reporting on the understanding of love in those eyes.

I looked up at the sky so often, I've grown used to this strength... From here, I walk on.

Kody stops playing and the performance was now over.

Everyone gave us a standing ovation and dad was so proud of us that he gave us both a hug. After we finished putting everything back to where it was, we went up stairs to get out of these stuffy clothes. "Hey Lumine, did you decide on a song to sing at the program yet?" Asked Kody. I told him that we'll be singing Happiness on the Same Earth. We both agreed and then we ate supper and went to bed.
