With edge I knew we could defeat all the monsters nearby so I walked forward still cautious cause you never know what might happen and this is a mythical world unlike the one I came from. I was considering when Edge started to rub against me like a cat regularly would so I looked at him and said "I look to you for protection friend."

Edge directly looked at me and said "But I don't know how to fight"

I looked at him while rubbing his head and said "You are a great learner and you just need to incorporate your past moves into adaptation to your new body."

He rubbed against me again starting to purr and at that point I realized we had been talking mentally without any words and I began to wonder if I could talk to intelligent species here so I asked the system.

I clicked yes quickly and collapsed to the ground gripping my head. The pain almost knocked me out immediately and I kept getting notifications but I ignored them to pet Edge but this mental pain was almost as bad as when I felt betrayed by my Aunt when in reality it was my fault when she tossed me back into the foster care system. The physical pain was nothing I have had fractures in my bones almost monthly in some homes due to me being an idiot or other reasons I will not share.

The pain then increased by double and I heard a voice cry out "Master" before I passed out from the pain screaming. I woke up to Edge licking my face looking worried and I said "Sorry for worrying you friend I shouldn't have done that without telling you." and began to pet him but he had quickly turned and was looking away from me. I looked up and saw a group of people surrounding me and started to get up putting my hand on Edges back and wondered why they were pointing their weapons at Edge.

I then heard one of them say to me "Watch Out that's a White Jade tiger you are leaning on" with a worried look on their face but I began to laugh causing them to have confused faces so I began to rub Edges back and he started to rub against me pushing me over since I was still weak from learning all languages of this world apparently there are 11 main languages one for each region and then common language which is taught to everyone but most people talk in their regions main language.

The people when the White Jade Tiger guarding me first thought I was dead due to the scream they heard and just had been about to avenge me but saw me start to get up so they warned me thinking it was gonna attack me but instead it acted like a cat.

There were 5 of them one dwarf short and stubby with a great axe with blood red hair, An elf covered in a golden natural light and blond hair with piercing blue eyes, The leader was a human with a golden shield with a manticore on the shield which put some fear in my heart even though his appearance was regular I knew he was stronger then the others, The fourth was a orc with no armor and dark green skin with two dark red tattoos one on his back depicting a Eagle and the other depicting a creature I never saw before, The other was a rogue covered in shadows I only noticed him due to Edge telling me where he was. They started talking in Tunarium which is the language of the kingdom of Tunar. Their conversation that I could hear was like this.

The elf "He is probably a tamer but how did he gain a loyal beast like that most would have abandoned him if he got hurt."

The dwarf "Look at him he has no injuries I am assuming something mentally attacked him like the Mind flare or a Specter."

The human just kept looking at me studying me.

The rogue said "He has noticed me without any understanding of shadows and he is not a physically focused Hunter of these plains."

The human leader said "He understands us I can tell from his expression but barely it looks like he has the control of a expert thief but even then I could tell their emotions but it seems like he has none but he always pays more attention to the one talking like he can understand."

The dwarf then cussed in his native language Dwarium. I then said in Dwarium "Great Dwarf I do not come from this land but a place far away and this is my friend his name is Edge." The dwarf looked at me shocked and I simply said in common "I have been taught all languages and if I don't know them I can understand the basic meaning behind words due to my training as a languages specialist."

The elf then spoke in Ancient Elven "You may know such a common language as the dwarfs but I doubt you know the language passed down through only elves with pureblood you might even know our common language Elven."

I then insulted by the elf respond in Ancient Elven "Do not insult one who has studied longer then you have probably been alive Royal Elf and Guardian of Life's hope."

The Elf was shocked when it heard then actually flinching and got on its knee and said "Honorable one what is your achievement that helped the elves to make them allow you a chance to learn our scared language."

I look at the elf and knew that If I told the truth I would probably die so I said "It was long ago" but information flooded my head about the elves and their practices same with the dwarves which cause me mental pain and I said "Sorry but my memory has not completely been regained and certain words or languages cause me to remember some things about the history of this world which causes me extreme pain."

I quickly passed out.
