Prologue

"Good Job Alex! The clients loved your proposal! You did a great job as usual. But, I need to talk to you about something! Follow me in my office"

I'm happy that I have closed the deal with our clients. I was working very bad because that clients is very important for our company, and that deal was my stepping stone to become the vice president of marketing, I was one step closer to reaching my dreams.

"Alex, the board of directors already talked about your promotion to be the vice president of marketing but then, there's a problem."

"Ano pong problema sir? Am I still qualified for the job?" tarantang tanong ko, Since I entered this job, gustong gusto ko na talaga mareach yung position nayun

"Yes, but then the board of directors think that masyado pang maaga para maging VP ka for marketing, they still wanted you to close one more deal with a very very important client"

"Okay sir! I need to do my very best then!"

"Of course! Alam ko naman na kayang kaya mong iclose yung deal na yun"

"What company is it then?"

"It is Cuarez Group of Companies!"

Hindi ako nakasagot

"You are going to be dealing with the CEO and owner himself, Mr. Xavier Emmanuel Cuarez!"

When I heard that name it immediately stunned me, I never realized that meeting and talking to him was my last step to reach my goal which is to be the vice president of marketing! ughhh!! I can't believe this,

"Sir, Do I really have to do this?"

"Yes, Alex! If you want to get that position then you have to close the deal with Mr. Cuarez! Wait, do you know him?"

I don't know what to say, I just nodded in response to his question

"Then, it won't be a problem! What time is it? I need to go, i still have a meeting with a client! I will send you the details of your meeting with Mr. Cuarez, it might be next week since he is a busy man! But, If you like you could schedule an appointment with him by yourself"

Then he left and I went home since my job here is done

"What happened to your presentation? Bakit ganyan yung mukha mo para ka namang nalugi! hindi mo ba naclose yung deal? Impossible yun pero ano ba ang nangyari?" sunod sunod na tanong ni Ellis

"Naclose ko naman yung deal kaso may problema"

"ano naman yun? naclose mo naman pala yung deal so ikaw na ang bagong vp for marketing?"

"yun nga yung problema ko dahil I need to close one more deal just to get that position."

"yun nman pala edi madali lang yan para sayo"

"Hindi siya madali okay, I need to close a business deal with Xavier"

"WHATTTTTTTT? As in Xavier Emmanuel Cuarez? Your ex? " sigaw niya

"Yes! Kaya nga problemado ako kasi, hindi ko alam kung ready na ba akong makita siya, or kung kaya ko ba! alam mo namang hindi maganda yung paghihiwalay namin dati! Bahala na si batman! Alam mo naman kung gaano kalaki ang galit ni Xavier sakin"

"Okay lang yan couz! Gaga ka rin kasi dati, alam mo namang mahal na mahal ka nung tao, iniwan at sinaktan mo parin."

"Yun nga eh! Mahal ko rin naman siya, pero alam mo naman yung mga napagdaan ko dati,that lead me to break up with him and leave him!"

"Alam ko naman, basta always remember that I am always here for you! Tara kain na tayo"

KUmain na kami and nagligpit na and get ready for sleep

11 pm na and hindi parin ako makatulog, naiisip ko pa rin kung anong gagawin ko if magkita kami, will it be easy for me to close that deal. Gosh, mababaliw ako, a part of me here is still thinking if I am ready to meet Xavier Emmanuel Cuarez which happens to be the heir of Cuarez Group of Companies and my ex whom I left around 4-5 years ago!
