Chapter 19

Benjamin parks his car in the garage. We walk through the front door and I ring the door bell. Taylor opens the door for us and ushers us in. Mia rushes in the living room greets the new visitor and pulls me all the way to her room. She immediately starts bombarding me with questions.

''Did you spend the entire night with Benjamin?'' she starts as soon as the two of us are sited on her bed.

''Sort of.''

''Where is the girl from last night? Ella?''

''She's home. Turns out they're brother and sister.'' Mia gasps loudly.

''No way!'' she exclaims, I jus nod my head.

''Did the two of you bang?''

''No?'' I answer quickly and start blushing remembering today's incident.

''You're blushing spill it,'' she urges.

''I feel so embarrassed.''

''Don't I'm not judgmental.''

I decide to tell her right from my birthday, how we made a bet, two of us cutting cake and almost sleeping together only to be interrupted by my mom's phone call. Benjamin belittling me when I told him I was not going to be his toy. The two of ignoring each other for almost a week only to see him again the previous night. Me sharing a bed with him because I am afraid of lightning and the way he made me feel hot, sexy today morning.

''wow! You guys are something. So much was going on and I didn't even know.'' she murmurs.

''Where are you're mom and dad?'' I change the subject.

''They went to the hospital, my mom wants to make sure everything is fine with dad.'' she replies.

''Becky, Mia , Benjamin wants to leave.'' Taylor shouts from down stairs.

Two pairs of eyes look up at us as we walk downstairs. They stand up, Taylor stands besides his girlfriend and I walk towards my... I don't know asking him if he were leaving which he answers by nodding his head. Mr. Fisher and his wife step in to the house straight to their living room. Lara helps her husband take a seat and she welcomes me with a hug then shakes hands with a face she had never seen before. I hope she is not upset with me for bringing an uninvited guest in her house because I am also a guest in her house. I begin apologizing for bringing Benjamin in her house without her consent but she dismisses my apologies.

''It's fine. You and you're boyfriend are welcome at our house.'' She beams happily.

''They're not dating.'' Taylor utters saving Mia, Benjamin and I from the awkward situation.

''I'm sorry I didn't know thought you were at his house last night for some sort of urgency.'' It is true but I am not going to blurt out his family relations in the open but tell her that I had to drop off a friend who was stranded home.

''Does he go to Reform as well?'' Mr. Fisher asks.

''Yeah he does.'' I answer.

''Are you in.....''

''College.'' Benjamin answers him before he completes his question.

A phone vibrates and Benjamin pulls out his iPhone and huffs. He gives me his phone and asks me to put in my number because Ella wanted it. I save my number in his phone and hand it back to him.

''Mia, do you and you're friends wanna go jogging with us tomorrow morning?'' Lara asks her daughter and looking at us. Benjamin's eye brows raise in shock.

''I'm not going maybe the two of them want to go,'' Lara looks at us waiting for our response.

I do not want to go jogging but I'll feel bad declining her offer. She has been kind to me ever since I got here and I don't want to disappoint her.

''No sorry Lara.'' Taylor rejects now it's my turn to answer.

''She has plans.'' Benjamin answers for me.

''Why are you and dad finally jogging tomorrow?'' she asks her mother.

''I want you're father to be fit, healthy and happy from now on.'' she states.

''I am all of those.'' Mr. Fisher tells his wife.

''We're still going jogging tomorrow and you're going to be laughing you're lungs out more than you did at your co-worker.'' father and daughter burst into laughter remembering the video of  the bossy man sliding and falling into a dustbin. It was hilarious. Benjamin stands next to me confused, wondering why they are laughing. I think. He takes the opportunity to announce his departure. Despite Mr. Fisher insisting that he stayed over for lunch, Benjamin politely declined him. At least he respects his elders. Everyone bids him bye and I escort him outside. He stops at the door of his car and turns to face me. My heart races. Part of me wants him to kiss me bye but part of me does not want him to. Taylor just informed everyone in the house that we weren't dating and if he kisses me they may think off me as a slut or worse. I know were in the garage and chances of them walking in on us is minimal but still I do not want him to kiss me. At least not here.

So you want him to kiss you again? my subconscious shakes her head in disapproval and I shake her away. He does not kiss me but instead tells me that he'll see me tomorrow and gets in his car pulling out of the garage and driving off. When I return in the house, Taylor is helping Lara chop tomatoes while she fried the onions. He chops the tomatoes equally and fast like an expert. Mia is sited on one of the sofa sets casually talking with her father. I decide to join them. We all engage in a conversation about Bruno Mar's greatest songs. All his songs are nice, they sink into one's soul and are totally epic.

Lara and Taylor contribute from the kitchen. The conversation makes Mr. Fisher to play Bruno Mars songs on speakers. Grenade, Treasure, Leave the door open, The lazy song, Billionaire, Just the way you are and many more songs play from the speakers as we all sang the lyrics. It reminds me of Tom Payne. He joked about being Bruno Mars which is ironic because Bruno is an artist and he is a business man maybe, I'm not sure. I still have his credit card and I will not use it. it's not right to do that.

At 1:15 chef Taylor and Lara set food on the dining and call us to eat. Three of us wash our hands and sit on the dining. There is rice, gravy, chicken, avocado slices in dishes and orange juice in a jug. Mia serves food on all our plates while I poured juice in each glass. We ate while listening to Bruno Mars. After everyone is done eating, I clear the table and wash the dishes. Lara and Mia wanted to help but I insisted I did it. I wash everything and put them on the dish rack. I admire the Fisher family. They are free with each other, caring, funny, understanding and together. Sometimes I wonder how my family would be if mom and dad were still together but it's no use since they are not. I guess everything happens for a reason. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher head out to get work out outfits leaving three of us in the house.

Taylor and Mia drag me out of the house locking the doors behind us. They were taking me out on a tour of the area. We get in the car and it gets in motion. The car moves through the tarmacs as children playing, builders building, people walking swiftly came and went out of view. We end up at a gaming store. The place was not so crowded which was a good thing because we could play anything we wanted for long hours without worrying if many people were waiting to play. The day started great and it's still going great.
