Chapter 15

*Good day my sexy and amazing readers! Enjoy this chapter and don't forget to throw your stones at me!*

Chapter 15: An Interaction with the camp.

I feel that there's a huge boulder on my shoulder right now. The thought of one of my over glorified uncles coming to kill me at anytime because of their childish banter was pretty stressful to think about.

But I can't do anything about it since in the first place I don't know what's going to happen, so instead of moping around in sadness or worry I just continued on normally.

"Yo! Marcus!" One of the Campers from Hermes cabin called me out.

"Sup, Connor," I greeted back.

"Hey wanna go do our usual sightseeing?" He asked me. There's one thing we liked to do, peeking on Aphrodite Cabin's girls. It was a legendary and manly hobby me and some of the boys from different cabin have in common.

We call our group, Council of Men.

"Did the council issued a sighseeing?" I asked.

"Nah, not yet but I'll brought it up today, we have a meeting later," He said with a smirk.

"I'm sure all of us would unanomously agreed without a doubt,"

"Indeed, it is a noble job of the council," He replied back, both of us laughing with our ridiculousness.

"Anyways I gotta go, I'm gonna inform other Council Member of our meeting,"

"venue? The usual?"

"Yep, the usual,"

"Okay, I'll see you there fellow council man," With that bith of us said our goodbyes.

"Hey, nice face where'd you get it?" Approaching one of the Campers from Aphrodite Cabin I said one of the lines I came up on the spot.

Which Now that I hear it isn't that good, fuck, it's not a good pick up line. Either the girl I'm saying it too would find it creepy or she'll like the cornyniness.

"I don't know, it's natural," She said cutely.

Thankfully it's the latter.

"Oh? Very confident huh?"

"But I guess with that pretty face it's only natural," I said to her coyly trying to be cool but I think I'm failing it.

"Hehe, thanks," She smiled.

"Damn, seeing your smile makes me want to be a clown," I said.

"Why?"

"So that I can make you smile more," With that corny line I took a seat next to her. Thankfully she didn't find any words that I muttered cringe.

"You don't mind right?" I asked.

"Nah,"

"Want some?" Then with a sleight of hands a bar id chocolate magically appeared in my hand.

"Pretty cool trick," She said.

"So what are your plans for the day?" I asked trying to prolong our interaction.

"Nah, not much just the usual Aphrodite's kids stuff," She said. Then from then in the conversation between the two of us flowed smoothly.

After talking with the Aprhodite girl I saw Annabeth on the edge of the river sitting on a log while reading a book. It was afternoon already so the sun was already going down making the sky orange and water of the river have a tinge of orange.

Seeing her alone I approached her and said.

"You know you remind me of the 21 letters of the alphabet," Annabeth looked up from her book and stared at me as if she was looking at an idiot.

"You know there's 26 letters in the alphabeth right?" She aske raising her eyebrows.

"Oh silly me, how can I forget U R A QT!" I said slowly wording out the letters.

Then suddenly Annabeth's cheek blushed from my compliment. She started fiddling out with her book not knowing how ro respond, but after remembering her mother is Athena she quickly regained her stumbling bearing and replied.

"Cool pick up line, not gonna lie you got me on the hook on that one," She said with still a small tinge of red on her cheeks.

"Well what can I say? I pick to impress," After having the atmospher between us in an appropriate level I took the extrace space on the log and sat.

"So what are you reading about?" I asked her a bit curious what she was was reading.

"It's about architecture," She replied showing the cover of the book.

"Oh cool, do you want to be an at architect in the future?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's my dream. I want to someday be an architect capable enough to design olympus," She exclaimed looking at the sky expentantly.

"That's good, you already know what you want to be, while I still don't know what I want to be after I grow up, heck! I don't wven know what I want for dinner,"

I don't really have it all planned out, you know my minds usually occupied with something so this thought about my future rarely comes to mind.

I am actually impressed at Annabeth, she got it all figures out, she's even starting to prepare for it which is very admirable. While here I am being a lazy bum.

"How bout you?" She asked me.

"I don't know, I don't actually have any plans for the future," I replied to her.

"Maybe I'll plan something or figured it out after this whole debacle about my father's lightning bolt is over," When I said those a still silence descended on the two of us.

It actually became a sensitive topic between all of us since in that prophecy, a traitor was prophecised to betray one of us. So for the Campers who trusted each other it was a sore topic to discuss. Annabeth seemed relactunt to believe the prophecy since she trusted other campers and what it said was about a close friend of ours so she further didn't believe it.

"Do you believe the prophecy?" I asked her.

"I'm… not sure, but I think it's one of those fluke prophecy,"

"There's many prophecy in the past that seemed grim on the outside but after it actually happened it wasn't that much, the oracle really try to make her prophecy as complicated as it looks outside," I could feel some self denial on her tone.

She really didn't want to believe the prophecy, but who am I to judge her, I just hope that it wouldn't be you Annabeth that will betray me because it would really hurt me to strike you down with lightning.

"Good for us… I guess?"

Annabeth chuckled at my response before changing the topic, which was good since it was getting awkward anyway.
