chapter 21

(what's 9 plus 10)

When Percy saw his head fall next to him, he thought well this was it. He was dead for real...

See in yharnam Percy could die in ways that would leave most humans mentally insane, and walk it off.

But dying in the real world? On earth? That was a big no no.

The reason was simple, because the great ones held little to no influence on earth. However that changed when oedon went after Percy.

it's not to say they couldn't hold influence, but more like they couldn't, as they weren't able to establish influence as they had in yharnam. So really, the only thing great ones (the ones that hated Percy) could do was send people to earth.

Oedon had used the hunters Percy had defeated, and summoned them to earth for the exclusive purpose of hunting him down.

He was a hunter who would upset the balance of yharnam, oedon knew that from the very moment he awoke in the hunters dream.

So why instead of a death that he was expecting, did he wake in a field full of flowers, and why was the hunter's dream behind him.

His question was answered when he saw gehrman. He was... Dead... And that was a shock to Percy.

Suddenly something descended from the moon, and Percy grew pale. This thing was... Powerful.

But it meant no harm, at least not to him. Percy knew that wasn't the intention of this... Great one.

The moon's presence lacked eyes, but that didn't mean she couldn't see. She knew she had her child.

One that even the other great ones failed to achieve. Not biological by all means, but still her hunter.

Meanwhile Percy's body instinctively walked forward, knowing that this was the reason for all the mysteries.

Percy didn't resist as the moon presence grabbed his mortal body and held him close. A part of him knew it was no use.

The moon presence presence wrapped Percy's body in her tentacles, and Percy black out.

When he awoke once more, he felt different... Stronger... More ... Alive?

Percy was able to feel the cosmic energy that the great ones were able to harness.

Percy was able to bend them to his will, like how Ludwigs blade was able to wield the power of the cosmos in a swing.

Percy was a walking holy moonlight sword, with the difference being that he was the more powerful one.

"You cannot die yet," came the soft lull of the moon's presence.

...

Say what you want, but hel could not interfere with mortal matters, and as much as she wanted to step in, she couldn't.

Even when she felt his life force already fade, the best she could do was watch, and thankfully the rune on the hunters close erupted preventing those... People from destroying his body.

Hel had always thought of her hunter as the strongest, if she knew this would have happened she would have etched more runes into percy's coat.

If it was her choice, she would have dragged the souls of those hunters to the freezing depths of niflheim, but that alien-like presence prevented that.

Even if she did possibly do that, Olympus would know of the Norse involvement.

And with Zeus paranoia, he would think of something drastic, as if the Norse were declaring war on them. Which simply isn't true.

The least she could do was secure percy's soul for herself, rather than let those freaks get to to him-

How was that possible?

Percy's severed head and reattached itself like it was no problem. Even the half bloods that were in the ocean were shocked. Especially Hades kids.

"That's so cool," Nico said.

No, not cool.

Immortality like that is not possible, this was something... Morbid. Not to mention Percy's increase in strength.

If he was a monster before this awakening, now he was a demon. He fought like a whirlwind, and the funny thing was that he had one under him.

Oh shit... What will the Norse do if this guy decides to attack their pantheon... Thank God he was on their side.

wait... why would Percy want to though, he had no thoughts of fighting anymore. she knew deep down what this man wanted. peace...

'oh Percy.'

...

Percy raised his gun and shot Gascoigne in the face. Really it was no surprise.

Then Percy shoved his hand straight through his stomach, then pushed cosmic energy into his soul.

The crow and micolash tried to attack Percy while he did this, but really it was useless due to his dodging skill.

Their attacks phazed through him as gascoignes body and soul exploded. The force sent the two hunters back, the crow cursing while micolash was micolash.

Percy spun his dagger in his hand, his eyes glowed blue from the comic energy.

"Who's next"

(Meanwhile)

"What did you piss off now appreciate," came a soft whisper from the woods.

(End of chapter)

Okay, for those who don't understand what happened in these last two chapters let me explain it.

Oedon used gascoigne, micolash, and the crow to attack and kill Percy permanently.

They succeeded, however the moon's presence wasn't going to let that happen. Instead she made Percy her subjugated child. Like gehrman, expect more .. permanent.

As you know, or for those who don't, a great one is able to manipulate the cosmic energy, and dimensions that go beyond mortal comprehension.

Aka, the hunter's dream, mergos etc.

Percy just picked up an empty occupation. He became the great one of the ocean.

He, instead of replacing moon presence, took the second route, becoming her child instead.

Immortality, and the likes.

Great ones cannot technically die, as even if their body dies, their consciousness still remains, but let's just say kos is fully dead, conscious too. make it easier for myself
