chapter 19

( A/n kos or some say kosm)

"You are sloppy. Being sloppy will get you killed," Percy said as he slapped away the kid's blade.

Percy stole a glance at Maria who was trashing the Aphrodite cabin. She was going to whip these girls into shape, and In Fashion.

Something caught Percy's attention though, when Bianca was fighting against Percy, she attacked once and proceeded to throw up.

"You reek of death," she said before barfing again, this time running to the nearest tree.

The tree nymph did not look amused.

That caused most campers to look at Percy.

"What? It's in my name, I'm a hunter. While you guys try to hide from the beast, I hunt the beast," Percy shrugged.

"They are called monsters actually," one of the gray eyed kids said.

"A Beast is a beast no matter the form. All those mongrels deserve to be put down," Percy sneered.

"Not wise to fight him on this one guys," Maria said as she punched an Aphrodite kid in the face.

"Less force, you're using too much on the children" Percy said without looking.

"I am adjusting my strength, it's just that they are weak," that definitely hit the campers' pride.

Percy had not once unsheathed his weapon, nor had Maria. They were just more experienced than all of them put together.

"You, what is your godly parent?" Percy pointed to a random camper.

"Iris?" The camper whimpered at the scary man.

"Good, now you fight blonde over here," Percy said as he pointed at one of the stool brothers.

...

True to percy's words, he pushed them on the first day. Combat experience could be the difference between life and death.

Their schedules were now being rearranged, most things were taken out. However, the capture of the flag was now every two days.

The reason for this was simple, it helped them come up with different strategies and to think outside the box.

But those who were well versed in a single thing like archery were now forced to learn close quarter combat.

Those who complained... Well, let's just say they were promptly persuaded after an hour long training session.

If Eileen could see him now she would have definitely been proud...

The big house was remodeled so it looked like the hunters dream, and the doll took residence inside it to... How was she able to maintain physical form? Percy didn't know.

But something tells him in the future he will find out... Or maybe... This was something he didn't want to know.

"Is something ailing you good hunter?" The doll asked.

"Nothing doll... Just thinking of how to properly train the children," Percy said as he drank his tea.

"Why not do so in the yharnam way," the doll said as she tilted her head.

"I am not throwing children to the beast. I have been taught better than that. I need to raise them to be able to defend and win no matter what they have to do," Percy said as he sighed.

Percy sighed as he looked at the Hephaestus cabin building new cabins.

"I do not understand the need for these cabins good hunter?" The doll asked as she walked behind him.

"Me either doll... Me either,"

....

Maria did not take kindly to the doll at first, so much so that she tried to destroy it.

The only reason she didn't was because Percy went and defended her, and while he may not exactly know the dolls origins, she was on their side... If he was to assume so.

Percy pretended to not see the bets going around about the kids trying to guess his godly parents.

Day three was Percy's favorite day of training.

"Today's training is a bit different. Instead of fighting each other, you're going to learn how to win by any means necessary. Whether that's pulling the opponents hair, hitting them in their weak spots. Anything. If it's a weakness, use it," Percy said as he paced back and forth.

A girl from the Aphrodite cabin raised his hand.

"Yes you the redhead," Percy acknowledged her.

"When you say weak spots...," the girl left the sentence hanging.

Percy nodded.

"Exactly what I mean. Aim for the crotch, breast. Anything to make sure you are alive and kicking. I heard how there was a traitor recently. If my information is correct, you need to be ready to fight against humans too.

If they are prepared to take your life, you better be ready to take theirs. Remember, the moment you show mercy, is a moment you show weakness. That weakness can be taken advantage of. Trust me I would know," Percy shuddered.

He had almost spared a scholar to which the man almost captured Percy. Luckily Percy was able to get the upper hand.

Percy began over watching the training, nodding approvingly when he watched one of the students try their hardest to win.

Sometimes they did listen. Some boys very much didn't appreciate where they were hit, but they would learn how to fight while protecting themselves. Or die trying.

Percy gazed a couple of times at the resident goddess of the hearth and smiled softly at her. She had done more for this camp than the director so Percy didn't mind letting her stay.

After all, hope is always something to have. Hope had let him survive yharnam for as long as he did. He had hoped to put an end to the hunt.

The good hunter hummed as he stared at the clouds. How he wished he could just be a cloud and he wouldn't have to do such troublesome things.

"Maria. I'm off on a hunt. It's about time I start exploring mergos" Percy said as he got out of his chair.

Maria looked very annoyed that Percy wasn't spending his time with her, but she knew he would return.

The good hunter was a persistent mother fucker.

"You better come back to me before supper understand," she said as she stood in front of Percy.

"Of course Maria," Percy smiled. Maria grabbed his collar and pulled him into a kiss.

"Oooo" some of the Aphrodite cabin giggled.

The doll meanwhile tilted her head seemingly confused. She wondered what the action they did meant.

Percy meanwhile gapped like a fish, he didn't expect that, so much so that the heat slowly returned to his pale cheeks.

"Came back alive. Do you hear me good hunter," Maria said.

Percy could only dumbly nod as he went to the big house and slept. His subconscious enters the dream once more.
