3 Chapter 3: Very long night

Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson

A/N: Hello everyone! Here is a new rewrite of my old story for Dark Gamer, I just wanted to let you all know that it is sorta going to take plot points from the old one but it is a new story. I hope you all are ready for a wild ride!

LAST TIME:

"Everyone is fine, but something is happening with Yuel. We think it's a transformation, but she looks like she will make it. Everyone else is on the retreat though." Percy nodded and his sword cut decapitated another zombie.

"Though it seems like we can stop the retreat, Alex! Go and notify them, and have everyone return to the battlement. Everyone else finishes off the zombies and beasts who get too close. They are thinning rapidly, so all we have to do is finish the remaining ones." Trista's commanded soldier ran back to the battlement.

"Looks like this is gonna be a long night." Percy thought after a second and deactivated his skill. He immediately felt his mind clear and his body grow weaker. At the same time, aches and pains he wasn't aware of before spread in his body. He felt the soreness and bruises, winced a little but he didn't show it on his face. He just slowly exhaled and gave his sword a twirl.

"Also… flames?" Percy asked glancing at his mother's ax which was still aflame.

"It's a skill I got, it's called Fire Boost."

"Hehe, fire for the Firemane!"

"Why is everyone saying that!"

"HAHAHA!"

TIMEBREAK:

THIRD PERSON POV:

"Is this everything?" Percy asked the others, who dropped more skill scrolls and mini treasure chests, about the size of one you might buy for a pirate-themed birthday, into a pile. Altogether, there were a total of 17 copper skill scrolls, 3 silver, and 1 gold, and even more chests: 53 white and ten red. There was also a pile of unfamiliar red gems that numbered about 90, each only about the size of the tip of a thumb. All that for killing the zombies, and in Percy's eyes, it was truly impressive.

It had been several hours since the last Zombie had been killed, and everyone had settled down in the battlement once again. All the warriors were busy cleaning up the Zombie corpses and gathering items by Trista's commands. But all the civilians had collapsed, exhausted from the day's worth of fighting. Most people couldn't sleep after the costly battle, instead mourning the loss of their families and friends. The sound of crying filled the otherwise silent battlement.

Only the warriors showed some restraint, gathering around Percy, Jake, and Trista as they looked down at the pile of loot with greedy eyes. It was already known that the scrolls brought about magical scrolls and the treasure chest had equally magical items, so it was hard to not desire such items. Percy, on the other hand, sat not too far from the pile and gently rested his hand on his blade.

"Nobody pocketed anything, right?" Percy suddenly asked dully, scanning the group of warriors for any sign of guilt. Seeing his sea-green eyes shimmer as cold as ice, the others quickly nodded under Percy's prolonged gaze. They looked away instantly, not wanting to meet his eyes.

"If any of you are lying, there will be consequences. We can't afford to have liars and hoarders in the group right now," His voice came down with the force of lightning, reinforced by his hand tilting his sword side to side. Still, nobody else came forward with the treasure while Percy stayed silent for a bit longer and continued to stare. Finally, he stopped staring but looked at Trista, standing there with an inquisitive look.

"Mom, you saw who put in the most work while fighting. They will get the first pick of the better skills and items, but save the gems until we figure out what to do with them. If there are any skills that you or Dad want, pick them out for yourselves. Save any skill that would work for the girls as well. I am only going to take these three things," he said, reaching down and grabbing the golden skill scroll and two of the red treasure chests.

"None of you have any objections… right?" Percy looked at the greedy men surrounding him. Some had stiff faces, clearly not enjoying what Percy had just said.

"T-Trista, are you just gonna let him decide what to do with the loot? I don't mind splitting the loot like this, those who fought harder and killed more deserve more. However… nothing against your girls but most of them did not help slay any of the monsters, they shouldn't be getting any rewards," one of the men suddenly burst before Percy's eyes shot towards the man who spoke.

"Percy, he has a point," Trista said, glancing at her son but Percy continued to stare him down.

"Let me ask you a question. Is anyone in this camp nearly as skilled in alchemy or healing as Summer, Winter, and Fall? Or provide logistical support or repair things like Tristy and Fallon can?" Percy rhetorically asked, before the man frowned a bit and reconsidered, clearly Percy had a point.

"We lost nearly 80% of our support after today. We need all the talented people on the backline as much as we do the front. Anyone who shows promise will be rewarded to help encourage them. These skills provide us a nearly infinite way to help them develop and we have to make sure we help them so we don't fall apart. If you can think of 5 people as talented as them in their duties then I will change my mind. Until then… do as I have said." His cool manner contrasted with the man gritting his teeth in frustration. Percy's incredibly blunt points and tone made it sound like he was scolding the man by simply stating facts.

"Percy…" Trista whispered with wide eyes. Percy turned to her and gave her a soft smile. Trista however had a hint of worry in her eyes when she gave a soft nod. Jake, who was standing by Trista's side, also seemed to see Percy in a new light. Percy was never… normal for certain. He was well aware of that and never thought anything of it. He was still just a boy who loved his family to the core and enjoyed fighting a bit too much.

But this, seeing Percy give out such fluent orders so effortlessly and even talk down his fellow mercenary with pure logic was beyond anything Jake had seen him do. Even his normal sea-green eyes which were usually full of playfulness or battlelust were collected and hard as steel. Feeling his gaze, Percy gave him a small look to delay their talk until later. With Trista's dismissal, he walked away towards the hastily prepared tents that housed the nearly 200 people they saved.

Percy glanced around at the sorrowful people with worry written on their faces. They could speak only in whispers, or as most of the others did, cried their hearts out. Percy felt a deep sadness for them; they were the people he had grown to know and loved for the last 16 years. And yet, he had been through even bigger massacres in his past life. With the descent of the new system, it served as a wake-up call to him. This world was changing rapidly, with magical skills that could grant inhuman power, the men able to transcend their body's limits, and monsters everywhere you looked.

Who better than Percy Jackson, champion of Olympus, commander of Rome and Greece's combined legions, and most powerful demigod on earth to face such an event? He had fun with this new life, already grown accustomed to his alter ego after Tartarus, but now he knew that he needed to be the commander he was in the past to save his family. Over 80 years of experience fighting horrendous wars and battles started to resurface in Percy's mind. He would protect everyone close to him even if it was the last thing he ever did.

"P-Percy?" Suddenly, a voice snapped Percy out of his thoughts. He blinked and turned to see Becca staring at him standing silently outside Yuel's tent.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought," he said with a small smile after Becca stared at him for a bit.

"Is everything okay?" She questioned, not expecting Percy to chuckle lightly and nod.

"Yeah, everything is fine, just thinking about the future. A lot to think about, you know?" He said with a serious face, and now she understood and nodded.

"So how is Yuel?" Percy asked, getting a small awkward smile in response.

"She is… livelier than ever." She tried to find the right words but failed, so settled awkwardly.

"Can I see her?" Becca nodded.

"Tristy and Fallon should be done getting her some clothes that fit by now. Let me check first," she said, disappearing into the tent for a few seconds before a hand stuck out waving him in. Without any hesitation, Percy walked into the tent and laid eyes on his sisters once again. Sitting beside her were Fallon and Tristy, busily sewing together small pieces of fabric. Percy's eyes then drifted to the bed where Yuel sat, immediately surprised but slowly his shock turned to a smile.

"Seems I finally have myself a little sister," Percy said, making Yuel instantly turn to him with her eyes lit up in happiness. Just a second later, she seemed to understand what he said when her cheeks puffed a bit, and gave him a pouty face.

"I am not little! Also, I am older than you!" She said in a cute but angry voice disproportionate to her now 6-inch-tall self throwing her fists up in protest. Yuel had experienced a race change with the descent of the system, and her human body was now long gone.

Her body had changed more than shrinking, her hair officially going from its brown-streaked white to a light emerald green color, but her eyes remained blue. Two small butterfly wings were now present on her back as well, which she made use of while she yelled at Percy in her tiny voice. Currently tiny, hastily made clothes covered her, but Percy could already tell the twins were going to have way too much fun making her clothes.

"Sure you are." Percy playfully responded, continuing to grin. He then walked over and sat down as he stared down at Yuel. His eyes eventually drifted to the object she was currently sitting on, a 2-foot-tall sapling that gave off a magical aura. Currently, the sapling was in a pot that the twins had managed to find through pure magic.

"Geeze… you never listen to me." She pouted a bit but her smile broke through, with her feet kicking happily from her small perch.

"I do! Sometimes..." Percy played along and Yuel giggled a little. It had been a long time since he had seen her have so much energy, and even though she was no longer human, this form seemed to suit her better.

"So this little plant. What is it?" Percy prompted Yuel, who glanced down at it and seemed to think for a second.

"This is me." Percy's face filled with curiosity.

"Then what about… the small you?" Yuel blinked and seemed to give it some thought, raising her small hand to her chin and closing her eyes. Percy felt an instinctual desire to pick her up and pet her, but he restrained himself.

"This form is a flower from my main body. Once my flower blooms it can transform into any form I find familiar." Percy's eyes widened in amazement.

"What happens if something happens to your flower?" Percy asked her, she seemed to think for a second, probably looking over her skills.

"It will regrow if something happens to it, though it takes some time depending on how much mana I have. When I have more flowers, I can even have multiple of me running around." Percy only felt more amazement at his sister's skills.

"That means we need to make even more clothes for her," Tristy said with a glint in her eye to match Fallon. Both shared a growing grin on their faces as they also began to giggle. Seeing them both laughing in an almost evil manner, Percy decided to not bother them at the moment.

"Truly amazing," Becca added and Percy couldn't help but agree.

"Thank you!" Yule happily said, making everyone smile in return.

"So what now? We can't just leave her in a pot, she needs real earth to expand and grow. Also what about the others? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what happened to her, I still don't know what to think. I don't even know what others will think about her changes." Percy looked up at Becca and gave it some thought.

"I will talk to Mom to figure out what to do, but Yuel is going to have to hide her fairy form for a while. Tristy and Fallon are going to be in charge of taking care of her for the time being, but also start gathering up our resources and taking inventory. You two are officially in charge of the logistics division for the camp, so collect food and set up a kitchen. Also, make sure everyone is properly clothed as well, I feel the nights are going to be getting colder soon." Percy said and then stood up and stretched his back a bit.

"W-What?" Tristy blinked a few times.

"Oh my bad, if you need help, talk to Mom. She can assign a few people to help out." Percy added on cutting through the silence that ruled the room.

"That's not what she meant. She was just surprised, we've never had you give us orders before, so it's a new experience. We will get it done and talk to Mom later about the help." Fallon explained, and Percy finally understood what she meant.

"I see… It seems I have changed along with this world." Percy commented, but everyone kept silent.

"Do you feel it is a good change?" Yuel suddenly asked when Percy looked down at her and gave it some thought.

"Hmm… I think so. Like I am discovering a part of me I have long forgotten." Percy said his true feelings causing Yuel to smile.

"Then you are fine!" She happily said as Tristy and Fallow groaned a little.

"You're not the one he is throwing orders at!" They complained in sync and everyone laughed.

LINEBREAK:

"Finally, a bed," Percy said, exhaustedly as he finally made it to a room that had been set aside for him. It was decided a meeting would be held tomorrow morning, so everyone was to get rest tonight.

Percy didn't hesitate for a second before he flopped down on the surprisingly comfy bed and heaved out a giant groan of relief. He was finally getting a chance to relax for the first time in hours, so he lay there for a couple of minutes in silence. Percy then took a deep breath and finally managed to get the energy to sit up on the bed, resting his back on the wall.

"A tree… reminds me of a story about Apollo," Percy said to himself as he gave Yuel's situation some thought. It might be a special constitution like what he had or maybe she had a special compatibility. There were so many unknown factors as to why it happened that it even left Percy stumped.

"She doesn't seem to be in any danger, and that is what matters. But for now, loot time." Percy couldn't hide his glee as he pulled out the golden scroll and the two red treasure boxes. Seeing the wonderful treasure in front of him, he grinned more and more, almost considering going back and getting more treasure boxes.

"No, I already took a fair amount with the skill scroll. I can't be as greedy as a dragon… for now." Percy nodded his head a bit, rationalizing his decision. Besides, after reading the skill itself Percy wanted it more than anything else in the pile. It was perfect for him considering his special constitution and the limited external skills he could get.

[Passive Skill scroll: Full Stat Boost (Tier 0) Level 1: boosts every single stat of the user by +1]

Percy looked down at the golden scroll with an almost maniacal grin on his face. It was no wonder this scroll was golden, even if it was a Tier 0 skill. To increase every stat by 1 was equivalent to two level-ups, so if this skill were to evolve Percy could only imagine what the new skill would be like.

"Better late than never," Percy whispered before he activated the scroll, making a bright golden light erupt from the scroll.

[Passive Skill: Full Stat Boost has been added to the skill list]

[External skill has been learned, only 5 more external skills can be learned]

Just like before, Percy felt his mana going crazy once again, but this time he was prepared for the pain so he simply rode it out until his mana began to sink deep down inside him. He waited until his body and mana fused and adjusted to the new skill. Compared to last time, even more mana was absorbed so Percy sat on the bed for nearly 5 minutes and nearly all his mana was taken away until the messages from the system began to pour in.

[New external skill detected…]

[Analyzing…]

[Primordial Emperor Body (Tier 7) level 1 effect is activating and is mutating Full Stat Boost (Tier 0) level 1]

[Mutation analyzing… soul variations detected… skill adjusting…]

[Skill adjustment complete, Leviathan (Tier 1) Level 1 created, skill has been added to stat sheet]

Percy let out a stale breath of air, leaving his mouth with a small gush of steam. His muscles and body twitched a bit responding to changes coursing through his body until everything settled down. Even without adding to the skills level at all, his body felt even more powerful from simply acquiring the new skill. Finally, Percy opened his eyes and he summoned the new skill info in front of him.

Leviathan: (Tier 1) Level 1

Description: Leviathan, the star and space-consuming race, their bodies are at the zenith of perfection. May your health be enough to survive the strongest blows, stamina so vast you never fall tired, strength enough to destroy stars, agility to make you faster than light, mana so vast you may use spells without worry, and luck so vast you the heavens smile down on you.

Primary Passive effect (Full stat boost): Increase all stats +5

Secondary Passive effect (True evolution): Once a stat reaches a certain amount it will create a support skill for that stat.

Skill Level up requirements:

Absorb 10 tier 1 cores (0/1)

Percy looked at the skill with a renewed light in his eyes. He couldn't help but start laughing and even slapped his knee a few times. He had hit the lottery with this one, thinking back to a Leviathan he had met on Earth. A gargantuan being that lived deep in the ocean, so powerful that not even the gods from any religion had control over it. He had high hopes for this skill, but at the same time, he started to think about the mana the skill absorbed.

He was left nearly drained of mana from the mutation of his skill, comparing the two times in his head he noticed there was a 10 times difference in mana consumption. He began to wonder if the mana consumption was based on the skill scroll level or a base amount. Percy kept thinking for a bit but put it behind him and instead, he shook his head before he turned to the two treasure chests sitting on the bed still.

Uncommon Treasure chest: Get a random item or uncommon rarity or above

"Oh great system bless me and my luck." Percy prayed as he approached both chests and then opened them, and outshined a brilliant red light. Percy watched and hoped until the light quickly turned into two objects on his bed. One was a pair of boots and the other was a chest plate that appeared very… familiar.

"Is this what I think it is?" Percy questioned as he checked on the information for both items.

Wind boots: (uncommon)

Allows the user to create a wind platform in the air twice a day: uses (2/2)

Agility +15

Nordic Chestplate: (uncommon)

Will sacrifice itself to protect the user from any attacks that would kill the user from any tier 2 being and below

HP +30

Quickly reading the abilities of both equipment Percy was impressed by them. The life-saving ability from the chest plate alone was a huge bonus, but both would be fantastic additions to his arsenal. Most interesting of all was the fact that the chest plate looked exactly like the one from the game Skyrim on Earth. It was interesting seeing such an item right in front of him because he was not in Skyrim.

"It must be the Akashic records," Percy murmured to himself, recalling Annabeth's mention of it. "Maybe our definition was correct..." Pondering for a moment, he gazed down at the items in front of him. However, instead of taking any action, Percy set them aside along with his sword, then flopped onto the bed and let out a soft sigh.

"Now I finally have some time to myself. Will you reveal yourself, or will you continue hiding?" Percy addressed the room, greeted by a profound silence. Lazily scanning the surroundings, he found nothing, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

"Ah, hiding it is. I feel like someone with perverted intentions is watching me now," Percy mused, his expression playful. "A genuine weirdo who enjoys peering into others' lives and derives pleasure from it. I wonder how intimately acquainted they are with every nook and cranny of my delicate body. It's rather unsettling! I fear this will hinder my chances of getting married!" Suddenly, he covered his body with his hands, squirmed on the bed, and made a silly face.

"Quiet! I am not a pervert! If anyone's the pervert here, it's you! Cease your nonsensical chatter!" An angry female voice filled the room, instantly halting Percy's squirming. A devilish grin appeared on his face in response.

"So I was right after all!" Percy said happily before the silence was interrupted by a female's voice.

"It appears you are as smart as ever… Perseus." Percy frowned as his old name was brought up. Before his eyes, a figure began to appear in the room filled Percy with surprise, as a stunning woman appeared before him.

She wore an emerald-colored dress that looked to be made of the finest silk as it hugged every seductive curve on her lilith-like body. A waterfall of coffee brown hair with tints of gold fell to her lower back, decorating her entire back. Her arms were crossed across her chest accentuating her bountiful chest even more, Percy's eyes wandered her body for a moment before looking at her face.

Calling her simply beautiful would be a sin towards her, absolutely stunning would be more appropriate to call her. Percy had seen his fair share of goddesses and even demigoddesses from around the world, but only a few could match her. If Percy could describe it her beauty was that of the noble and seductive type. Enhancing her beauty further were two elf-like ears that were several inches long and two eyes that shined like the finest quality Jade.

"Hey, pervert, are you just going to keep staring?" She asked to snap him out of his thoughts. He blinked a few times to let his mind get caught up with what just happened.

"Who are you? Nobody in this world should know that name," he said in a calm tone but his eyes betrayed his suspicions. The woman ever so slowly grinned as she crossed her legs and continued to float in the air.

"Hmm… I don't tell perverts my name." Her body began to spin around and face away from him.

"That's fine. I don't care anyway, if you wanted to hurt me you would have done so already." Percy shrugged it off, but the woman froze in the air and her lips twitched a bit.

"Y-You don't care?" She was surprised by his claim, spinning around to meet his gaze, but he just shrugged again.

"Should I?"

"You should! I am from Earth! I know about your past before this place!"

"So?"

"Y-You!" She couldn't even get the words out of her mouth, her face was filled with frustration only growing when Percy ever so slowly grinned at her. Seeing his shit-eating grin, her jaw dropped. He had been playing her this entire time. Ever so slowly she brought her hand up to her face and took a long breath to calm herself down.

"You never change." She murmured to Percy's continued grin.

"Just had to make sure, can't be too careful. Especially when someone just drops my old name." Percy said as she stared at him for a moment and then once again crossed her legs and floated silently in place.

"How are you so calm about this?"

"Well… to be honest I wasn't calm at all and ready to attack you. But then you revealed yourself and… I was stunned by your incredible beauty and my mind kind of blanked. Then you called me a pervert which snapped me out of my trance and you know the rest. Though I do admit, I still don't trust you 100%." Percy assured and while moving his hands, the woman faintly blushed and coughed a little with a hand over her mouth.

"That is understandable, I am stunning." She cheekily retorted but soon, an awkward silence blossomed until Percy broke it with a laugh.

"I guess we should start over. I am Percival Jacob Jackson, the 8th child and only son of Trista and Jacob Jackson. Formerly Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon, savior of Olympus several times over. Loving husband to Annabeth Chase Jackson and Piper Mclean Jackson, War Master of the Roman and Greek Demigod legions in the pantheon war, as well as several other long titles."

"Nice to meet you again, Perseus. Or Percival I should say, my given name is Cedar and I am the designated world spirit to look after this newly ordained world by the Akashic System. Until this world reaches Tier 4, I am its designated guardian. In my past life, you knew me as Gaia the primordial of the earth, and daughter of Chaos. So you can call me Gaia." She finished with his eyes widening significantly once the information rushed into his head. The minutes began to tick by slowly while Percy was lost in thought and Gaia patiently waited for him as she floated and twirled around the room silently.

"Why me?" Percy suddenly asked and looked up at Gaia. As she looked back at him, a grin spread slowly across her stunning face.

"Oh my, it seems you figured out a little secret," Percy didn't even bat an eye at her smile.

"If you can even call it that. What you are saying is that I am not the only one who has reincarnated from earth. There must be others; that is the only explanation, I just don't know why you picked me and why we are here." Gaia paused to think before speaking,

"The reason why we are here is due to Chaos's meddling with the Akashic system. You can think of our old universe as a tutorial stage in a way, but unfortunately, that is all I can tell you without punishment from the Akashic system. What else… Yes, you are not the only one who reincarnated. Those who met certain criteria ended up the same as you, with their memories and all." She said as Percy's eyes widened yet again as new information was dumped on him.

"But what about the ones who didn't get reincarnated?" Percy asked but was shrugged off. It didn't sit well with him, and seeing his worried look Gaia giggled a little and floated over to him.

"Oh, no need to worry, many people you knew achieved such criteria for reincarnation. Gods, immortals, significant demigods, and even outstanding humans." She whispered softly into his ear

"Then tell me where they are!" Gaia rejected him by shaking her head.

"If I did that, I would not escape punishment from the system. Chaos's power has already been significantly reduced because of a little trick she pulled." Percy frowned again, although he had information now, there was not much he could do with it.

"Why me then? It sounds like you could have picked anyone who reincarnated to speak with. Why not a god or another primordial?" He asked as Gaia stared at him for a moment as she put on a thoughtful look.

"Because you are the only one I believe can help Chaos recover her former power. Maybe she will even give you a high position in her army." Percy was immensely disappointed by this response, falling silent before he finally spoke.

"I'm not interested, go find someone else." Gaia's face went straight to shock, immediately rushed over to him and got right in his face, but never actually touched him.

"W-What do you mean, go find someone else? The Akashic system only gave me one chance to choose a host! Do you know what that means? From now on, I cannot approach any other person, even if they are a normal person or reincarnated! The only possibility is if they become soul-contracted to you or if they reach Tier 4! Who knows how many centuries that will take!" She nearly screamed at him but Percy kept his almost bored look.

"That doesn't sound like my problem. I am already having a hard time trying to think of a way to protect my family, and I don't need another quest right now in this crazy world," Gaia's face was filled with complete shock as her jade-like eyes trembled.

"Aren't you supposed to be the hero who saved Olympus? Where is your heroic spirit to save your creator, the very one who gave you the chance to be who you are? Even your memories from your past life are her doing!" She yelled at him with fierce eyes but Percy just slowly let out a reluctant sigh.

"You make a point, I guess I should pay her back someday in the future. Maybe I will give her a fruit basket or something, she is my benefactor after all. I owe her just about that much," he said halfheartedly. Gaia looked taken aback by his lame answer and seemed to deflate, slowly floating to the ground.

"Anyways, go away. I need sleep." Percy added and laid down without waiting to see Gaia's jaw drop in disbelief.

"Why are you like this? You are nothing like the demigod I remember." Percy looked over his shoulder at her, still lying on the ground.

"Blame your husband if you want to complain, he put me through countless years of torture and torment. Even a soul as strong as mine was tainted by the darkness he forced into it. Besides, we were enemies in the past, why should I even try to help you?" Percy scoffed and turned his head away to Gaia's dismay. She felt awful. She had used her only chance to find a reincarnator to help save her mother, yet he refused to help her. She ground her teeth in frustration, changing her stunning face into one with bitter anger.

Gaia, floating off the ground and dusting herself off, suddenly said, "I am not the same being as I once was."

Percy paused and slowly turned to Gaia, asking, "What?"

"In the past we were enemies," Gaia replied with frustration on her face. "The things I did back then can no longer be changed. This is a new life, and I plan to be better. I cannot be the same person I was in the past. After you defeated me in the second giant war, I nearly fell into another slumber. I was half awake and half asleep for countless millennia, which gave me plenty of time to do some much-needed self-improvement. I admit the current you still pisses me off a little though."

Percy stared at her in silence and simply said, "Hmm... okay."

"I know you don't trust me right now," Gaia continued, rolling her eyes dramatically. "That doesn't mean that your opinion will stay the same in the future!"

Percy's eyes slowly widened as Gaia put on an angry smirk. "That's right, I'm sticking with you from now on! I already used the one chance given to me by the Akashic System. I am not wasting it! I will also try to keep your stupid ass alive because if you die, I can't even find someone else. One way or another, I will get your help, and together we will aid Chaos, not just a stupid fruit basket either!"

Confidently, but with anger in her eyes, Gaia stood tall and crossed her arms under her breasts. "You can't chase me away either. I am a Tier 4 being and the world spirit of this world! Wherever you go in this world, I will know! So buckle up because I just joined your party, even if you don't want me to!"

Percy's face scrunched up even more. He roughly exhaled his breath, rubbed his face a bit, and felt his mind stir. Sure, she was Gaia, and they were enemies in the past, but there was something about the look in her eye when she said she was trying to change. Percy knew liars, and Gaia was not one of them at that moment. Still, he could not simply trust the old Earth primordial. In all honesty, Percy simply didn't have any plan on how to deal with her. One thing she did say caught his attention though. If he died, that was it for her and her quest until people have reached Tier 4, which would take a very long time.

Still, he had other things on his plate at the moment, he didn't have the energy or the time to focus on anything Gaia wanted done. Even if he did help Chaos, he honestly didn't want to join her factions but wanted to start his own. Still, there was so much information he was missing on the situation that it would be tough to make a smart choice.

Percy reluctantly conceded, "Fine, do whatever you want." Gaia's proud look grew as he flopped onto the bed, trying to sleep.

[The first 24 hours have passed! The Akashic System congratulates you all on surviving]

[The Akashic system has finished analyzing all the records of this world and its inhabitants]

[All skills possessed prior to the system have been fully analyzed]

[All skills of similar natures will be replaced if they meet the requirements]

[Skills with enough experience will be placed on the skill board in 5 minutes]

Percy blinked in surprise once the message crossed his eyes. He hadn't realized it, but his skill board was barren compared to his real skills. He then started to think about how many skills would he get. He was skilled in many things, so many he was sure they numbered in the 50's or 60's. What was the cut-off point with experience? Would a skill simply list out the skill or improve it?

"Oh, my? Has it already been 24 hours?" Gaia interrupted his thoughts and floated over to Percy, trying to peek at his messages but getting a glance in response from Percy. As he stared at her, a question formed in his head.

Surprised, he asked, "You can see my messages from the Akashic System?" She glanced at him and nodded.

"Of course I can. I did choose you after all, and since the Akashic system allowed you to see me, it would be weird not to." Her confident response made his eyes narrow.

"What about my stats? Have you seen those?" Gaia's face was like a smirking cat.

She responded cattily, "You're asking a lot of questions for someone who doesn't care about me and doesn't want to help me." Percy pursed his lips and stared at the smirking Gaia.

"I get it, I get it! What do you want?" Her smirk was gradually overtaken by a smile.

"Just let me help you get stronger for now, take my advice, and survive. If you die, I have to wait a long time before I can even start my mission again. Allow me this, and I will be content for now. I won't even bug you about helping Chaos until your family is safe and sound." Percy thought to himself that it honestly seemed like Gaia wanted to help him. Even if he didn't quite want it since what she was selling was a price he could not afford.

"How can you even help me?" He asked, and Gaia responded with a gentle smile that seemed to radiate from her face, leaving Percy momentarily captivated. Concentrating, he pushed the feeling away before the woman floated closer.

"In more ways than you could even imagine, I am a world spirit after all. Think about it like this, I have the Wikipedia of knowledge about the Akashic System in my head, simply because of my race. Skills, titles, constitutions, combat methods, equipment, etc. Name it and I know it, even your named skills and special constitution. That's what I have to offer." She offered as she approached Percy with a grin.

"Fine, you have yourself a deal." He said, sighing after much internal debate before finally giving in to the voice that was saying Gaia was honestly trying to help him.

She sarcastically responded, "Geez, tone down the excitement." Percy rolled his eyes, but then Percy stuck out his hand. Gaia floated back in confusion and stared at it with a raised eyebrow.

"What? Never had a handshake with someone before?" She pursed her lips a little.

She had no expression but said, "I have, but I can't shake your hand." Percy's face twitched in frustration.

"You are the one who wanted this deal." He said frustratedly to Gaia's blank face before she started laughing. Her beautiful voice filled the room as confusion and embarrassment rushed through Percy until Gaia wiped away a tear from her eye.

"That isn't why I can shake your hand, I am a World Spirit. Simply touching my hand is enough for a Tier 0 human to experience a flood of pleasure so strong, it would short circuit their brain. Think of my skin as the world's strongest aphrodisiac." She winked as Percy's body sweated when he pulled back his hand.

"Later then, when I can resist it."

"Sounds like a deal, Perseus."

A/N: No skill descriptions this time, that would be too many spoilers for you all ;)

Looking over the skills, Percy felt a sudden blush cover his cheeks in combination with a pair of jade eyes burning holes into the back of his head. He was mentally much older and even had a skill called Taiji Will, but even that could not prevent the blush on his cheeks and a dry cough.

"Sex Maniac… Really?" She sounded like she was judging him harshly.

"L-Listen, it isn't my fault."

"Mmmhmmm…"

"It isn't! Piper and Annabeth were insatiable! Those two only ever let me sleep after a full round with the two of them. Not to mention when they brought others to our bedroom to play around, not that I'm complaining in the least. Besides, you were a primordial goddess, don't you judge me! I am sure you have had many partners and had sex all the time." Percy tried to defend himself hurriedly but Gaia raised an eyebrow at him.

She started smirking before replying, "Well… I did have my fair share of partners, but I didn't do it nearly as much as you think I have. To acquire that skill, you had to fulfill a few requirements, one of them being to have sex every night for a full year. You demigods are like rabbits, aren't you." Percy blushed a bit more but turned his head away to clear his mind. This was not the hill he wanted to die on.

"I'm not a demigod anymore." Percy couldn't help but try to fix things, but Gaia snorted out a laugh and he had to close his eyes for a second to calm down. He then opened them again to reread the skills a few times. All of them made sense to him, his control over water and other elements seemed to have merged into the skill mana control. War God Weapon Master seemed fancy but he knew it was his skill to handle just about every weapon, since in his last life he has trained with more than a sword.

Gourmet was also pretty understandable, since over the years he was fighting he had started to eat just about every kind of food around the world. Sooner or later, he was able to differentiate the quality of the meals and even started to cook himself. To put it simply, Percy was a Master Chef who could whip up a world-class meal in an hour. Super Reading was something he would thank Annabeth for, and danger sense was self-explanatory. However, Taiji Will caught his attention so when he read through the description, his eyes widened a bit.

"You know, I've been meaning to ask but what are the Tiers?" Percy asked Gaia, switching focus from the Tier 5 passive skill in his arsenal.

She seemed to think momentarily before responding, "To put it in terms you can understand, the Tiers are like levels of existence. Tier 0 to Tier 3 are all mortal though. Once a being reaches Tier 4, they shed their mortality and become immortal. But this immortality is basically what the hunters of Artemis possessed, never to age but able to die still. Anything above Tier 4 is not something you would be able to understand, so I will hold off on those."

Percy digested the information before questioning, "Then how do Tiers 0 to 3 differentiate in people and skills?" Gaia looked like she had been waiting for him to answer this.

"The strength of the Tiers is something like this: Tier 0 is a normal human, Tier 1 can demolish a city street with ease, Tier 2 is a full town, and Tier 3 is a whole city. For skills, each Tier has an additional effect on the skill gains, but the skill itself can also mutate into a better skill when it raises Tiers as well. The mutations will differ from person to person." She finished speaking and then he took a look at his active skills.

[Active Skill: Devil's Silver Tongue (Tier 1) Level 2]

[Active Skill: War Cry (Tier 2) Level 2]

[Active Skill: Limit Removal (Tier 3) Level 1)

"Hmm… Limit Removal seems very useful but only in certain situations, but War Cry will combine excellently with Asura Rage. I wonder how loud my shout will get? Finally, Devil's Silver Tongue? My quips aren't that evil, right?" Percy said while turning to Gaia as she put on a flat face, simply seeing her expression made Percy's eyebrow twitch.

"Look on the bright side, at least it is still Tier 1." Gaia tried to say something but it only seemed to demoralize Percy more as he heaved a defeated sigh. He honestly didn't expect many active skills, he simply didn't have his old life's body anymore. It would be strange if he did have more active skills honestly, though one thing he was curious about was his swordplay techniques. Did that fall under War Gods Weapon Master?

"Hey Gaia, what about techniques?" Percy couldn't help but ask as Gaia smiled a bit.

Her response came quickly: "Technique skills exist but to get them you have to fuse any technique with mana for it to get recognized by the system. Technique skills can't be obtained through scrolls either and are incredibly hard to improve in Tier. If you unlock one, you'll understand. Most people depend on active skills for their techniques because of the difficulty of real technique skills." Percy nodded a few times and was curious to see just what technique skill his swordplay would unlock.

"That is good to know, I wonder if my dual-wielding skills will evolve into a technique?" Percy said out loud, but Gaia took it seriously.

After a moment, she responded, "Maybe in like… 30-ish years?" Percy felt his dream crushed into the dirt.

"That long?"

"If not longer, you have to think of it this way: Techniques are something an entire clan works on for generations, perfecting each set of moves while laying a foundation for further moves further down the line. It is truly grueling work that can sometimes take generations to get at least a Tier 3 or Tier 4 Technique."

Enlightened, Percy said, "I never thought of it like that, thank you for the insight." Gaia nodded with a confident smirk dancing on her lips.

"For now though, I need some rest," Percy said yet again as he flopped down onto the bed and let out a long sigh. So much had happened in the first 24 hours it was almost difficult to take it all in, even for him. Annabeth always enjoyed telling him rest will always make things easier in the long run, taking her advice once again he pushed aside all the new skills and information to get some rest.

"You know your stamina is nearly 4 times that of a normal adult? You shouldn't need any rest for at least another day," Gaia said but Percy ignored her and waved his hand in the air.

Percy calmly responded, "Even then, that doesn't mean I don't want some rest. You should get some rest as well."

"I do not need any sleep ever, and I am tired of sleeping. My last life was more than enough sleep for me."

"Then go do something else or whatever," Percy said, yawning. The seconds ticked by until a soft and steady breath left his mouth, surprising Gaia who blinked, finding Percy fully asleep in a matter of seconds.

'Whatever, I somewhat accomplished what I came here for.' Gaia thought to herself, 'I didn't realize he would be such a pain in my ass though, who gives a fruit basket to the woman who basically gave you a massive head start in a new life and even made your life possible in the first place?' She rolled her eyes and let out a huff before she disappeared from the room and appeared above the battlement that was bustling with guards and the restless crowd.

Some were checking out their new skills, while others were still very confused about the system and its mechanics and were only now understanding it. Gaia watched with curious eyes over the battlement taking every detail in. Even though she was this world's World Spirit, all of this was new to her as well. Technically speaking, she had only been awake for 2 days, when the Akashic System awoke her to give her time to take in all the information that comes with being a World Spirit.

She had a feeling that what she knew was above what any normal World Spirit would know. She didn't know if that was because of her mother's meddling or the Akashic System letting her know before the system started. As soon as she found out about her situation and what happened on Earth, she made it a goal to save her mother or aid her in every way she could. She and Chaos were never on the best of terms in her last life, but after her constant thinking in her dream state on Earth, she decided to make amends with her.

She also wondered if she was the only one who was given information about Chaos's situation and the reincarnated people. It may have been her mother's meddling or the system again, but it was to be unknown to her. Still, she didn't think about it too much. Instead, she focused on the mission at hand, first things first: get Percy to at least Tier 1. Anything after that was not nearly as important as that, she just hoped Percy would continue to help her when he grew stronger.

She knew Percy would be against her using him for her benefit, so she began to formulate plans in her head to help him out in other ways than just strength. While she did, she suddenly felt something lock onto her, and her eyes ever so slowly opened revealing a dangerous look. Her eyes were like twin storms with their jade color seeming to swirl and twist, before looking up into space and once again disappearing.

Gaia reappeared high above the world, and angrily rebuked the mysterious figure she saw there, "It has barely even been 24 hours since the descent of the system, you know the rules set by the system. No factions are to interact with new worlds for at least 1 year, and you know the punishment!" A figure dressed in a white cloak with a golden star on the back that hid all their features stood before her in silence, and like Gaia, they also radiated Tier 4 power. The figure never said a word to her, instead, they looked down at the world below. Seeing this, Gaia slowly narrowed her eyes and a jade-green aura burst from her.

"Easy now, I am just here to take a glance. Nothing more." The figure spoke in a voice that sounded gender-neutral in tone. Slowly, their body began to float backward and Gaia's aura slowly calmed down once the figure began to leave the world.

The figure flew away, but left Gaia with these words, "It seems this world is a special one, good luck young spirit. Don't be afraid to seek the Army of the Pure Ones for help." Gaia frowned ever so slightly but her aura finally calmed down.

"You have a year before the real storm hits Percy, don't waste it." Gaia disappeared from space, but suddenly another figure seemed to walk out of a fold of space. They brushed themselves off a bit and looked around. Oddly enough, they wore a sophisticated set of dark blue knights' armor that covered them head to toe, intricate designs covered the armor as well but one main design stood out: The design of a black hole lay directly in the middle of their chestplate giving them a very demeaning look.

"Hmm… it seems a lucky rat found this place and snuck away, we can't have them get away now, can we," They spoke muffled by their helmet but their eyes followed the path of the figure in the white cape. One step later, the figure was once again consumed by the folds of space leaving not even dust behind.

A/N: Hope you all enjoyed it! Percy got some new skills and acquired some spicy ones from his past as well hehe. If anyone has some comments about them feel free to let me know, I think they are pretty great if you ask me. We introduced another waifu. I mean reincarnator! Will sparks of passion or sparks of anger fly between the two? Stay tuned in to find out! Also, it seems the universe is a bit bigger than we first thought, who is our mysterious knight? Who knows… except me! For now at least. Anyway, I hope you leave a review, and thank you for reading!
